“This hide gem is a perfect taqueria. They have indoor sitting. They are one of the better places to get Mexican style food in arcata. “I choose to go to this spot because they serve 20 oz red eyes with four shots. I get burnt out by caffeine-sensitive baristas who make comments about red eyes and inadvertently flash implicit bias and character judgements on people for having a high caffeine tolerance. I go to school and work, and I don’t want to feel like a drug addict every time I order something off your menu. I went in today for a red eye and one of the baristas was confused and concerned about other staff historically making the normal four shot 20 oz red eyes, thinking that 2 shots was more than enough. There are plenty of drinks on the menu for caffeine sensitive people, please for the love of god leave red eyes alone and keep them at 4 shots. If I have to pay extra to add 2 shots to a 20 oz red eye just to reach the normal 4 I’ll just go to Dutch Bro’s exclusively. I like north town coffee, there are a lot of awesome things about this place, but I also don’t want to pay +$7 for a drink that should have the same kick as a $4 drink, and as I mentioned above I don’t want to feel like a drug addict by the staff every time I order something off your menu.“

“What a great sushi place! So glad we stumbled upon this out of the way super tasty off the beaten path sushi place in Arcata. It’s a mom n pop shop atmosphere but the food is fine dining style. We both got a roll with salmon in it, can’t remember the names but they were both delicious. The Miso soup, tempura veggies and edamame are all bomb too. Made a mistake of ordering three sakis, they came in a nice size bottle with more than enough for the three of us. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Got the seaweed salad this trip and it was great, nice roasted sesame flavor. This is now our favorite place to get sushi in Arcata“

“APD has probably the best pizza in the Arcata/Eureka area, but check your pizza. I come and get a pizza here probably twice a month. I always order the same thing, half just cheese, half pepperoni and jalapeño, and more than half the time it comes out half pepperoni, half jalapeño. Then I have to wait for them to remake it. Not sure why that happens so often. But great pizza. Just be sure to check it.“

You can get fried tofu subbed in any of your old favorite dishes (looking at you orange tofu and sweet and sour tofu). Good portions served family style and you always get a box of white rice with your entrees as well. Everything you’re looking for in good reliable spot to order some Chinese food. The papaya salad had great, authentic flavor (and not spicy), my pho's broth was rich and flavorful, and the boba was soft and chewy! The milk teas were also very good and the flavors were on point. “Love us some Pub at the Creamery. It’s a regular spot for our weekly date night. We each get a pizza, share the house salad and get a couple of their creative cocktails. My favorite vegetarian pizza is the Greek. The husband likes the classic pizza. My favorite thing about the house salad are the roasted garbanzo beans. Their cocktails are delicious and their ice is huge and clear just like we like em! You can also get the food to go which we did last night. The hostess called when the food was ready so I could pick it up hot and fresh. So great customer service too. 👌🏻“
