The food menu is also extensive, along with having vegan and gluten sensitive options. Our waiter, Don, was absolutely fantastic. He was able to recommend multiple drinks I enjoyed and pointed us in the right direction with the food as well. The service was quick, the food was amazing, and everything is very reasonably priced. I don't think you can go wrong here.“

“Just after Christmas, we were in town for the new year and the Seahawks had a football game against the 49ers so we went to our place bar and Grill and had a fantastic time. The people were great. “I came here after work on a Friday night. It just so happen to be a Padres vs Dodgers game and this place was packed! I mean, for your regular local bar... it was poppin'!
Everyone had a good, positive vibe watching the game regardless of the rivalry (there was a mix of both fans here) they didn't have the jukebox playing, so it was strictly game time vibes!
But as soon as the game ended, Jaqui, the bartender at the time, turned the music UP!
Jaqui was the ONLY bartender serving the patrons all night! She not only was running around like crazy but she kept such an inviting, friendly smile the whole time! She made sure to keep a conversation going with her guests as well.
While I was here, I didn't hear of any complaints about the service. Jaqui made sure my refreshments 😜 were always full as well. She's by far the best I've seen yet!!
Overall, it's a cool bar to chill at during baseball games or even to have a night cap after work! & with Jaqui as your bartender, you'll leave here on a positive note and I bet you'll be back 😋😉“

“My bf and I came twice to growlers in one week to watch the U of A play in the NCAA March madness games. The first time was during the week. There was a wait and we had drinks at the bar. We were seated maybe 20 minutes later. Our server was Larissa. We ordered food and everything came out relatively quickly. The burger was quality as one would expect paying $30. Overall good experience. The second time we came on Saturday. Again a wait, once again drinks at the bar and then seated 15 minutes later. Our server didn’t come for more than 15 minutes. Larissa recognized us and offered us beverages to start, then our actual server came by and seemed confused when we told her she had already taken our drink order. We ordered food and it took quite a bit longer than the first time we came. We understood as it was much busier on the weekend. Our server checked on us but she clearly was busy with maybe more tables than she could handle. Overall we like the food and cocktails even though it’s over priced. It’s definitely a great place to watch any sports. They actually turn the audio on for the games which was a plus. We will be back.“

“My husband was in a business dinner and they walked some of gaslamp afterwards. After they parted ways, he needed to use the bathroom so he ran in the closest restaurant. They said he couldn't use it unless he was a customer. I totally get that but they were packed out so it made no sense.... Either way, he bought a chicken quesadilla to go. He brought it back to the room for me and our sons to have. It tasted good...until my youngest son spit out a piece of plastic he found inside the quesadilla. My Husband called about it the next day bc they were then closed. Their response was "oops sorry" like wth?! They then said "bring it back along with the plastic." No mention of a refund or investigation of how it happened. And by that point, room service had come and took the box of the rest of the food plus no one wanted to fight downtown traffic and pay to park to have them possibly offer us another quesadilla . 🙄 Again the food we did eat, minus the plastic, was good but the service wasn't.“

“My wife and I stumbled upon Majorette while exploring Rolando Village. It looks like a dive bar, but it has a really good beer selection and great food. I'm a fried chicken sandwich snob, and it doesn't get much better than their fried chicken thigh sando. The only real option for my wife (who is vegetarian) was the grilled cheese sandwich. While it was delicious, it would be nice if they would at least offer an Impossible burger substitute for their smash burger. I also wish they were open for lunch instead of just dinner, but such is life. We will definitely be back soon!“

“As a visitor from Mexico on vacation in the San Diego area, I had a great experience at Ojos Locos in Chula Vista. The wings were delicious, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with the ice-cold beer. The atmosphere was fun, energetic, and welcoming throughout my visit. “This is the first time I’ve been somewhere quite like this. It’s a classic brewery and restaurant but it’s set in a massive space with multiple seating sections with large, excellent quality TVs. Beyond burger was a little uninspired but that’s my fault for getting something uninspiring. The beer was good, especially the coconut haze, and the spot looks like it would be electric during a major sporting event. I ended up watching curling. :-)“

“Maverick, was an amazing host. Flora, was an amazing Server. Lily, was neither the host or our server but gave the upmost greatest customer service. We went out to another restaurant earlier and we're highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service, presentation and even the taste and temperatures of our food. I had surgery on my Right Knee and still not that comfortable sitting at bench tables. no problem here they sat us at a table with both chairs and bench. Now that is great customer service. “This place is most certainly a dive bar in all the best ways. I heard they had amazing fried pickles and it did not disappoint. Probably some of the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. I also order a small nacho to go, I don’t know what they put in their “spicy” cheese but it was so hot I thought my gums were bleeding and I had to abandon the food. It was busy so unless you walked up and stood at the bar it was difficult to get service. They also give you a vibrating tag that lets you know when your food is ready and you have to walk down to collect it. I also heard someone say they do karaoke every day at 7pm. I’d definitely come here again.“

Bartenders are receptive as well. Juke Box is a plus to play music of one’s choice.It’s honestly kind of it’s own place in the middle of everything, but wouldn’t mind staying here for a night and drink the night away. The Elwood is nearby too.“
