Cake decorator followed my instructions to the point and the cake turned out to be exactly as I wanted. It wasn’t too sweet (like Safeway cakes) which everyone liked. “March is a busy month of friends and family members' birthdays. Appreciate a bakery dedicated to cakes. The Cakery is a small cake shop on Burlingame Ave in Burlingame. Parking is on the street. No dining areas but of course, there are benches along Burlingame Ave. Sometimes it's just nice to get a sample of cake slices versus a whole cake to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed the vegan mango tarts, marjolaine cake, and dark chocolate mouse cake. The vegan mango treats came as two pieces and were so good if you prefer a fruity sweet treat. The marjolaine cake seemed dry to our taste. While the dark chocolate mouse cake was heavenly to taste as it was so light in sponge but gave you a good sample of dark chocolate that wasn't rich but just right in texture and smoothness. Will likely return for either a whole cake to order or just get a sample of goodies.“
“It was our first time ordering from Simple Delights and we are very happy we chose you. My daughter's birthday cake was perfect in all ways, the cake and frosting was very delicious and the right amount of sweetness. We had chosen the Vanilla Chiffon cake with Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream and everyone had very good opinion about the cake. “I’ve ordered 3 cakes from here in the span of a month. I was so impressed with the 6in mango cake I decided to get more for a coworker birthday and going away cake.The cakes are beautiful and delicious. They’re pretty standard cake prices ($30+) I call or email ahead of time to order. The fruit cake doesn’t seem to be available all the time, but it’s totally worth. I didn’t get a pic of the tiramisu :(I’ll be looking forward to getting more cakes in the future! The other pastries from here are good, too!“
“Super cute and loved the S'mores cookie! They are so thoughtful to have a certain number warmed up, so you can enjoy it immediately in all of its gooey, marshamllow-y chocolatey glory. You can also take home sealed ones for friends/family. They also have bags of cookies for 12 dollars for 6 I believe. Love the wealth of flavors to try. I was particularly curious about the strawberry dipped in chocolate, so will have to try that + the Peppermint brownie next time! Along the main street in Half Moon Bay, great to walk this tiny strip because there's a lot of wonderful shops, restaurants here.“

“Craving something sweet at 8pm and we found this place on Yelp. Lots of parking. Self serve frozen yogurt with good selection of flavors, my favorite is sugar free strawberry. Toppings also is self serve which is a plus. Very friendly staff. Cute decor. You can download the app to collect reward points. We like this place, will definitely return.“
“I was recommended to get the dirty chai latte and the ube tres leches cake. The ube tres leches cake is hands down one of the best things I had ever! The dirty chai latte was meh. Highly recommend their baked goods! There isn’t much place to sit and eat though.“
“Giving a 4-star rating because I don't want to damage their business, however I wouldn't use them again for a few reasons. 1. Kathy is extremely hard to get a hold of, she never returns your phone calls and when you email she'll take daaaays to reply. If you're lucky to have her reply. I had to go in to ask questions. Which should have been a red flag for me and I should have gone with someone else. My bad. - when you are trying to plan for a party, this behavior is frustrating. 2. The cake was dry, flaky and super sweet. The strawberry shortcake middle was nonexistent.. maybe like a few thiiiiinly slices strawberries. - I asked if the cake would be on the less sweet side and she said no. - Decided to go with her based on all her positive reviews and that she's a woman owned small business. 3. The cake was for my baby boy turning 1. I asked for musical instruments and to be in "boy" colors, and no rainbows (rainbow color order) at all. I specified this many times. I wanted blue/green gradation for the xylophone. That's not what we got. I'll post the picture of what they made us. It looks like a child made this that didn't follow our instructions. - the smash cake was so hard for my baby and we ended up throwing it away. Wanted to support this local business but I wouldn't recommend Kathy's Creative Kakes and won't use them again.“
“Randomly visited and bought two pieces for yesterday. I was a bit skeptical about the price／value (a bit pricer than Lady M), but after trying the cakes, my families and I all think it deserves! Cakes are fresh and flavorable, with just right sweetness. We love both the passionfruit and the sesame flavors. The sesame one was especially beyond our expectation. Out of our heart, we recommend this shop and will visit more times in the future.“
