Custom Cakes near Santa Clara, CA

“One of my favorite cake places to come. It's located on the first floor next to the garage entrance.

When you walk by, it's like eye candy to look at all the different flavors and slices. They do have seasonal flavors that they rotate in-and-out.

We ordered:
- Lavender Mille Crepe: Excellent. A nice lavender fragrant flavor that's slightly sweet. The best one in my opinion
- Yuzu Matcha Mille Crepe: Very good. A hint of you with citrus along with mild matcha flavor. Ranked 2nd of the list.
- Amedei Chocolate Mille Crepe: Good. Chocolate isn't too sweet and you can taste mild chocolate flavor.
- Mont Blanc: Good. The chestnut on top melts in your mouth.

The only downside is their crepe cakes are pricey. It used to be $10/slice (for regular flavors) and they raised it 20% to $12/slice before. The 20% increase is too much. We used to come much more often but cut it down due to the 20% increase.

Now they somehow lowered it $0.5 to $11.50/slice but some are still $15/slice. It's over $115+ to get the whole cake. They don't have a price tag in front of the cake, so you'll have to ask. Wish they put a price tag in front of the cake to provide more transparency on pricing and make it easier for us without having to ask for the price for the slices (different flavor has different price). Removing one star for it.“

“One of the better dessert spots around the Santa Clara area, offering a wide variety of flavors like chocolate, mango, mint chocolate, dark chocolate, and cookie dough. Plenty of options to choose from, making it a great place for dessert lovers.“

“I’ve visited twice, and I enjoyed it both times! I’m really picky about cakes, and this place hits the spot for sure. I haven’t found another bakery in the Bay Area that I liked as much. The cakes are very fresh and fluffy—you can tell they use quality ingredients. I really liked the pistachio cake I got for my friend today, it was the perfect sweetness (perfect for Asians at least 😅), and the cream was light yet fluffy. Everyone loved it!“

“Requested for an offbeat masala chai cake which you wouldn’t find anywhere. Was elated having received it on such a short notice. The cake had an amazing taste as well as great presentation/dressing. Would 100% recommend.

Petition to add Chai cake to the menu and call it Shantanu Cake or Shukla Cake.“

“The flavor is delicious!! The cake truly tastes like matcha, and the combination with the cream is amazing. It’s not overly sweet or heavy, which makes it even better.

I highly recommend it. The only thing it could improve is offering more variety in flavors; there were only matcha and one other option. But honestly, the one I wanted to try was matcha, and it did not disappoint. Highly recommended!“

“We were planning for a last minute event and frantically started searching Yelp for someone who could bake us a custom cake with just a few days notice.Reached out to Shruthi, who was very responsive from the get go. She was able to accommodate our design and provide suggestions as well.She helped us with a cake and cake pops and also helped get it delivered.The cake looked beautiful and unlike other custom cakes we had ordered in the past (where the look compromised the taste), this one was equally yummy.The kids at the event also liked the cake pops.Overall we are really happy with the cake and service.Definitely recommend Shruthi :)“

“I was looking for a bakery to get my 1 year old a cake, since it was last minute that we decided to get him a cake for his birthday today and I wasn’t expecting to find a place that would make it right on the spot, but I was lucky enough to find Nubia’s Pastelería..they told me that they only take orders but that since it was a small cake they would do an exception and decided to take my order and had the cake ready within 30 minutes. “I went on-line & found an ice cream cake I wanted to order for my friend’s birthday. It was an NBA Lakers cake as she is a HUGE fan. I went to the closest location to my house which is on Cottle Road, but was told that they couldn’t do this cake for me. I was disappointed & confused bc on-line it shows as a choice. The person working there told me that the location on Bernal wouldn’t be able to make the cake either. So I went to the Willow Street location and was welcomed warmly and given top notch service. I forgot to ask the woman her name but she told me that she didn’t understand why the other locations couldn’t make the cake. Even though this location is about ten miles from my home, I will only order cakes there. Customer service at Cottle was flat but at Willow Street, I felt cared for.“

“This time our visit to Cold Stone Creamery was for something extra special, a birthday cake. My son wanted an ice cream cake for his birthday, and what better place to get one than one of his favorite ice cream places?

We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of cakes they had available. There were several flavors, designs, and sizes to choose from, which made it easy to find something he would love. We ended up choosing the Cookies & Creamery cake with Oreo cookies on top, and it looked perfect for the celebration.

The store wasn’t nearly as busy as it can sometimes get, so we were able to take our time looking at all the different options. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the whole process was quick and easy.

One thing I really like is that besides the ready-made cakes they have available, you can also order special custom cakes ahead of time, which is a great option when you’re planning a birthday or another celebration and want something more personalized.

Cold Stone really has something for everyone. Besides their ice cream and all the different mix-ins, they offer shakes, smoothies, signature creations, ice cream cakes, and plenty of other treats.

Most importantly, the birthday boy was happy with his cake, and that’s what mattered most. It’s nice having a favorite place that can be a simple stop for ice cream one day and part of a special birthday celebration the next. Definitely a sweet way to celebrate!“
