“I would have given more stars but for 2 issues. The Bistro vibe has created a cold atmosphere that kind of makes you want to eat and go rather than linger and enjoy fine dining. My company ordered a dinner they have had many times before so he thought he knew what to expect. The recipe was completely different that even the server didn't recognize it. My friend was very disappointed. Our server was amazing. The unexpected dish was taken off the bill, so they were gracious. Talk to your server about the menu before assuming you know what you're getting.“

“We were told they don't accept reservations, so we arrived a little after opening for dinner. We had no idea how small it is inside because the few times we'd come by before they had been closed. The place was PACKED. The maitre'd was friendly, gave us each a beaded necklace, and asked if we'd like a drink, but didn't take down our names. He said the wait would be about 30-45 mins. Worried that he'd forget us among the large number of other people also waiting to get in, we stood by that door for nearly 90 mins. Personally, I wanted to leave, but my wife was willing to wait, so I stayed for her. We actually got hungry waiting and ended up ordering fried asparagus from Copehouse across the alley (they were delicious). If it were up to me I would've just gone there for dinner. When we were finally seated and able to relax the experience improved somewhat. The bartender was friendly, and the food arrived reasonably timely. Unfortunately they did not have any non-alcoholic options on the drink menu. That seemed like a missed opportunity. Mocktails or shrubs would be a good addition for teatotalers like us.The food was all pretty decent, though pricey. They were out of the soup, so I chose the sea bass as an expensive alternative. The oyster sampler was $48 and the oysters, while of decent quality, were VERY small. Tbh I didn't think the quality justified the cost, but we enjoyed the meal enough that I didn't leave unhappy. I just don't think I'll be back anytime soon.“

Top Dog Tavern! Bar • $$
12131 14th St, Yucaipa - 2.78 miles

“This was my first time back in almost 4 to 5 months. As soon as you walk in, you notice a total change in the interior with new paint and shutters. New tables and chairs as well. My understanding is it changed owners or is co-owned by one of the staff there. So whatever she did make it look a lot more appealing and enjoyable. The service is still fantastic depending on what time of the day and week you go. Service might be a little delayed because they are busy. In my opinion, it looks a little better than just your average dive bar. It's more comfortable. My only gripe and disappointment are by 9 o'clock when the DJ starts playing, the music is so loud that you start to yell with the people you went with. When we sat at a table, I was the third person over and couldn't hear anything that was being said. The two people sitting next to each other had to yell at each other. Just be able to hear themselves. And so we had to leave because it was just ridiculously loud. It's not a nightclub so the music doesn't have to be loud. Unfortunately, we had to go to a bar uptown that has music but is not as loud. But I recommend this bar but you'll have to go to form your own opinion. Make sure you stay past 9 o'clock.“

“This place has become a staple of my visits to Redlands. On the corner of the historic State St in Downtown, this is a great place to visit. A bunch of big screen TVs, a central located bar with seating all the way around, amazing food, and dozens of beers untap, this is definitely a place worth visiting.Parking: Finding parking on State Street itself may be difficult, but off of Orange Street less than 3 minute walk away is a parking structure. There's almost always something in there.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to get in your way here. Well most of the bar is on high top tables, there are plenty of low tables as well.“

ILEGAL 1895 Bar • $$$
14 E State St, Redlands - 7.76 miles

“I’ve had the privilege of trying some of the best bars across 6 continents. I’m a bit of a craft cocktail enthusiast (read: pretentious snob) when it comes to good bars. In all seriousness, this is UNBELIEVABLY out of character from what you’d expect in Redlands. This easily ties the cocktail bars tied to many two star Michelin restaurants such as Providence in LA. I may even go so far as to say that this ties Death & Company in the Arts District, the Dead Rabbit in FiDi (Lower Manhattan), and Hatchet Hall in Culver City. This is the first place - bar or restaurant - in Redlands that I’ve been legitimately proud to showcase to people. If Redlands can have more establishments like this, then maybe the city is well on its way to catching up on a 70-year blown lead to the likes of Pasadena.Lastly, do not be put off by cost. They use quality ingredients. Of course the drinks are going to be more expensive. If you want a cheaper drink, get a Jack & Coke from a sports bar. These cocktails are not anything more than what you’d expect from a very high quality place in Santa Monica or Manhattan Beach. Very proud of Redlands for finally having a high-quality venue!“

“It was our first time in Greensleeves and definitely will return. Our server Sebastian was amazing and gave excellent customer service especially we are celebrating a very special day. We just happen to be there during Date Night Thursdays! We upgraded to the Tomahawk option and it's worth the experience + great value for a high-end steakhouse. Glad they have specials on a daily basis. It was cooked to perfection medium rare + their house made chimichurri sauce was amazing! However, would like to point out that reservation notes should be attended too especially if customers have a request or celebrating a special occasion. Due to a busy evening, food turnaround was a bit on the longer side for a fine dining restaurant (believe that evening they have large party was upstairs). Hostess can be more attentive with their customer over the phone and upon arrival. In addition, steak knives wasn't the best in cutting our Tomahawk steak. Again, it's our first time at Greensleeve and planning to go back another time.“

“Empire Bowl is always so much fun! We absolutely love the kids bowl free program in the summer. We loved bowling for free in the air conditioning! They provide bumpers if the kids need them for extra assistance. They are kind and efficient at the shoe rental. The restrooms are clean, well stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels. The floors of the whole bowling alley are clean and noticeably not sticky! There is an attached snack bar/restaurant.“

“First time visiting this establishment and was brown away by the amazing staff. The bartender that welcomed my friend and I in was both funny and entertaining. He made the atmosphere extremely comfortable by cracking jokes and engaging us in lively conversations. He also gave us detailed explanations on what cheese fondues to try out and made everything on the menu sound delicious. My friend and I ended up choosing the sun-dried formaggio which has a delicious blend of fontina and havarti cheese with basil pesto and was served with some raw veggies, bread, and tortilla chips. The mild cheese in the fondue was given a blast of flavor by the sun-dried tomatoes and pesto which left me wanting more. After consuming all of the cheese, we were craving something sweet and settled on the salted caramel dark chocolate fondue. This rich dessert was served with fresh bananas and strawberries as well as marshmallows, cake, Rice Krispies, and pretzels. When the other lovely bartender came over with the chocolate fondue, she surprised us with lighting it on fire! After the fun show, my friend and I were delighted that the chocolate wasn’t overly sweet and the salted caramel created a balanced dessert. At the end of dinner, we were both full and happy with our experience!“
