“So we came here hoping it wasn’t too busy and luckily was met with an Allegretto winery tasting. Cheese pairings all great, along with the wine rep and the Madeleine waitress. Excellent and would go back. Burger and dessert also very good. Plus she played good music & got the fires going.“

“Cute little wine shop with a nice owner. We tried the wine tasting at $2 a sip and even bought 1 that we liked home. They rotate the wines in the tastings every so often so it's not the same. Will be stopping by if we come to town again.“

“I was on the way from Hearst Castle and really lucky to visit this place which offers really outstanding food, for example an excellent octopus appetizer. Then the wine selection is really truly impressive, with special labels from Paso Robles even by the glass, and at less than $20 per glass. And they are very polite and prompt. What else can you ask for?“

El Colibri Hotel & Spa Wine Bars • $$$

“We stayed here for 2 days while visiting relatives. Weekend rates are much higher than the week. Our room was upstairs with a tree view. We could hear the ocean when the window was open which was great for sleeping. The hotel has plenty of parking and an easy path to the beach boardwalk. The front desk hostess was great! Very helpful and friendly. The lobby has some snacks for purchase and a drink case, plus a on tap beer and wine set up for purchase. We had a room with a jetted tub,but the tub was only big enough for one person at a time. There was no bathroom vent which was strange to me. Room had a mini fridge but no microwave. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious with a fireplace. The continental breakfast was crappy. We must have missed the fresh food options. All that was left were overprocessed, sugary packaged donuts.~ Crap food. One would think that a hotel styled as a spa hotel with luxury prices would provide better and healthier grab and go options.~“
