“The Village Wine & Tap room is filled with amazing wine, beer, seltzer & sour options, only rivaled by the wonderful staff! Jes and her crew are an absolute blast, with amazing varietals by glass to match. A must try next time you're in the Village! Try out the BoBo's Bubbles (before it's all gone), an absolutely refreshing and delicate sparkling Chardonnay that will absolutely blow your mind!“
“Wow there are few places better in Carmel Valley on a sunny day on the patio. Really nice selection of wine and tapas to snack on. Scratch and Joyce winery are close at hand to try their wares. Friendly staff and centrally located in the Village make this a great place to visit.“
“This is one of our favorite tasting rooms in the valley. Everyone is super friendly and Russel, the winemaker is often at the tasting room and willing to chat and explain some of his processes. The bottle prices are super reasonable and you can usually find something for everyone. Not only are the wines great, but the space can't be beat. You can sit inside the cozy tasting room itself or sit outside on the patio and enjoy the valley sun. Take a glass and play bocce or cornhole and really take some time to enjoy the space. My favorite wine here is the Gamay. Light and perfect for a sunny afternoon on the patio. On our most recent visit I picked up a rose and a "Rocas Red" a light, chillable red from their other label. At $25/ea it was a steal! Oh, and they are tied to the wine house in the same complex so they delivered our bread and butter to our table so def take advantage of that partnership too!“
“HOLY MOLY! I don't know where to start! Pliny the Elder on draft seems like a good place, obviously. The rest of their beer selection is incredible as well: Sante Adarius, Discretion, Hidden Hills, and so much more! I haven't eaten anywhere that has a selection like this in a long time. They also have a great selection of wines! Some of the most unique Champagnes and small production reds. My girlfriend had a glass of Riesling that knocked her socks off! SO yummy. "Parker's Picks" as they call them are on point! The food was superb. Period. They just won an award for best Burger and Sandwiches, which is undoubtedly true. But their Sweet Sticky Ribs are amazing! We had those, the burger, BTL (OMG), Paisano, and some sides. Everything was a home-run. Fresh, high quality, and FULL of flavor. Well done! The team and atmosphere was so nice and welcoming. Amanda and Cesar greeted us with smiles, let us know what the best bites were, and then graciously helped us make our decisions. Even their chef in the back said hello when he brought the food up front! What a great team! I can't wait for my return trip. I heard they have the best breakfast burritos in town! Big fans.“
“We had a great birthday celebration here for one of our friends. It's becoming a tradition since it's the 3rd time we've celebrated his birthday here. Food is always on point! If you want traditional German food, this is THE place to go. Goulash, cream of broccoli soup, and a pea/potato/sausage soup was all enjoyed by our group. Our group ordered the following: Hausplatte, Claudia‘s Hausschnitzel, Zigeunerschnitzel (pictured), Jaegerschnitzel, Stammtischschnitzel, and their vegetarian plate. And copious amounts of German beer! They are a family run business and they just celebrated 32 years! Reservations only.“
“I love love love Scratch! This is my favorite place to come for a glass or two on my day off. There's always good music, welcoming staff, and a gorgeous environment to unwind and enjoy delicious wine!! The tasting room manager Maria is always so sweet and attentive, and Sabrine the owner is such a genuine, kind person to chat with when you're lucky enough to run into her. All of the wine is amazing, but the C-47 line is out of this world. They also always have fun events like Drag Bingo & Wine Paw-ty with adoptable dogs to meet! Definitely a fun place to check out, I highly recommend!!“
“Whenever we are in Monterey this is a must stop. We really enjoy the outside patio, it’s always a thrill when a jet landing at the nearby airport buzzes the parking lot. This time for lunch I had a fried chicken sandwich and my wife had fish and chips. We started out with calamari but there was a mixup with the timing and the plates came out before the app. The manager came out and said they would re-make the plates when we were ready rather than park them under a heat lamp. That was really a nice touch.“
“Someone asked if I had eaten at MO's River Grill. Yes I have. My husband and I ordered a French Dip sandwich. One each. It was really good. It was hot and yummy. It was so big we both couldn't eat it all. We both ate half. Next day it was still good. I would recommend Mo's“
“The wines were great and fairly priced. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We had two babies accompanying our party, and there was no problem bringing them. Kid friendly! We ordered the charcuterie and cheese board and it left something to be desired. We were not impressed but what we were given still tasted good.“
