“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.“

“I love how this small , family-owned business is located conveniently on Mission Ave. Great service and they have some pastries & vegan sweets too. They’ve got a nice seating that allows for people-watching and most importantly, they support other small bakeries & businesses by carrying their goods. It’s a win-win and I love that for our community.“

The vibes were great during my visit, I got into to several pleasant conversations with other patrons. I didn't encounter anyone who was over-served. The staff was friendly and professional.“

“Smallish restaurant with tiny parking lot of about 10 spots shared between 3 businesses. Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“

My daughters couldn't stop raving about their meals, and my wife and I were impressed with the diverse menu options. “On vacation staying at an Airbnb in Oceanside California. Went to Buccaneers for breakfast burritos to take back delicious. Bacon and egg and sausage and egg. It's a small shack off the road with a lot of people ordering, picking up and eating. And boy was it delicious. Big burritos could have split one but enjoyed it the next day for lunch 😋. There were 5 of us and everyone loved them,!“

The coffee is perfection here, no matter what is ordered. Jason carefully and thoughtfully asks enough questions to be able to make each drink to perfection. He even got the tiny bit of raw sugar in my flat white perfect. I’m so impressed. Be sure to find Camp Coffee and their awesome crew whenever you visit O’side. It’s a real treat.“

“Top notch! Everything about the yellow deli is nothing short of amazing!! Consistent food quality and friendly staff! My go to is the iced lime and honey yerba mate and a salmon sandwich. “Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!“

“This is probably the best In-N-Out we have been to. We are avid In-N-Out goers and this has the be the best we have been to. The food comes out quick, they seem to be very efficient. Jarod was all over the place helping people out, opening doors for people and cleaning up. I highly recommend this In-N-Out.“

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their beers!
I live in San Diego and often make the drive to Oceanside for this beer! Their Paloma seltzer is my partner's favorite and we buy cases at a time.
Their pizza is delicious. You can judge a pizza based on their basic cheese and it is making my mouth water as I type this! Their ranch is absolutely delicious too!
I love a place that has options or subs for vegetarians and they check that box too.
If you love beer and good food, definitely make this a stop on your list.“

“Ciao is our new local favorite Italian go-to. We are fairly new to the area, having moved from Carlsbad where there is no shortage of excellent restaurants, and Ciao is right up there with wonderful food! The atmosphere was nice, casual and comfortable , the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent!

We were also pleasantly surprised to find that they also offer delivery with the two big food delivery services, and the to-go food is almost as good as dining in. Serving sizes are quite large giving you at least two meals per order.“
