“Love that they have mexican music as u eatLove their salsa their jalepenos in vinegar with carrots and cabbage! Love their flan not overly sweet. Love their homemade corn tortillas. Love their shrimp fajitas, love the fact that they work with you . Their chicken mole is good too.Always bustling I n that little place. Good Molcajetes!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a table specified for wheelchair accessibility.“
“What a fun experience! This new Colombian restaurant has it all... Ambience, flavor, and culture. The aroma as you walk in surrounds you with delicious smoked meats, and smells of home- cooked Colombian meals. We loved every bite, and will definitely be back for more. Thank you to the hosts and great service.“
“What a cute little spot in downtown! Stopped here for a girls night catch up and they had the perfect little room with a couch and fire for an intimate vibe. The ambiance is so perfect and cozy for a more relaxed night out. The bartenders were so nice and helpful when ordering. The food was pretty straight to the point but yummy so I can't complain. The viognier was crisp but I definitely enjoyed the Bella Montagna Sav Blanc more. I would definitely come back here for a date night!“
“It's always a pleasant surprise when a place exceeds expectations, and this one certainly did: the ravioli here is simply incredible. I visited at 2 pm midweek and didn't have to wait, and Mary at the counter was delightful. I opted for the beef ravioli with tomato basil sauce, and it was truly divine—light, airy, and tender, like melt-in-your-mouth pillows of pasta. Definitely worth a journey across town.“
“I have been coming to St. John's for 20+ years. Back in the day when they had the half off specials. I still frequent the place when I need a great burger even without the specials. You serve yourself. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors. A ton of TV's for your sporting needs. The place is packed during college football season. I highly recommend St. John's.“
“Only my second time here. It was suggested by a friend. I am impressed by the craft beer selection. This place is a "dive bar" hybrid. Very professionally run. Lala is the bar tender with the mostest. Best Old Fashioned I've ever had. Come check her out her / this place. Add it to your rotation if you are a craft beer person“
“Came here specifically for Pliney the younger! You have to order the drink in a pair with another drink. Example would be pliney the younger and pliney the elder. Guess that's their way of making more sales. Line gets pretty long. It can wrap outside of the store. Ordering the food is pretty easy through the machine. Food came out in a timely manner on their robot machine. Typical bar food with an Asian twist. Nothing amazing. Service was good. You're able to order drinks for your whole table. Give this spot a try if you're craving a beer!“
“Really great oak cabinetry around the bar. You can tell it's very old school and not like antique to where it's noticeably older. Whoever is the one that keeps up with the bar and keeping the wood and great shape is amazing. I really like that place. Customer service is awesome. Bartenders are awesome, very quaint place to kind of chill and relax on a date“
“Convenient spot & a fantastic selection of beers. Plus... They always have a good stout on tap, year-round, which for some reason is hard to find in the south bay area.We stopped going to Loma & Happas because stouts are unpredictable and/or non-existent except for a couple winter months.“
“I love their pizza and salad but the new owner has a very bad attitude she was very rude to me and my aunt they messed up the salad the last time I went she owed us one I ordered with egg she said don't think your getting premium added just 6 items I was so upset the salad was awful they should of changed the name the new owner lady don't smile very ugly attitude as I said before you lost my happiness for this place no smile“
“What a great place! I was traveling in the area on business and stopped in for a few beers. I met the owner Matt. What an amazing guy. Truly passionate about his craft; sharing craft beers with the world. Matt was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It was clear within a few minutes why there were a host of "regulars" present as well as a mix of folks pre-gaming for the Sharks, and other passersby. Whenever my travels take me back to this area I will be sure to visit. If you're reading this....go see for yourself and enjoy a taste from their diverse offering of beer.“
“I stopped in here a week ago with friends for a glass of wine and some small bites before dinner. The staff was really friendly and we received great service! There were only two ladies working and the place was packed but they were able to still manage the crowd and you weren't left feeling forgotten. The food was really good and you get a lot, so much that we didn't need dinner after having the charcuterie board they prepared and we also had the pretzel knots which were delicious with the mustard sauce. They have a good selection of wine and beer. We will definitely go back to sample the other items they have to offer. It's a cute place downtown Willow Glen!!“
“You are walking around the neighborhood, catching the San Jose sunset and you come across a bar. Your friendly neighborhood bar.You walk in, greeted by friendly servers, eager to seat you. Instantly you feel welcomed and warm inside. You walk over to your seat, looking around, captivated by rustic vibes. The music, loud enough to appreciate and low enough to engage in friendly conversation. Glancing down at your menu, you see a variety of finger foods and drinks. You decide to enjoy a Margarita pizza. A yummy vegetarian option, covered in a sweet balsamic glaze. Your server comes to check in on you, they are full of smiles and service.Something about this bar gives you that safe, comfortable feeling, a place where you can watch a game or two, go on a date, read a book, make new friends and socialize. I 10/10 recommend this spot. They have events from time to time, live music, a variety of get togethers. Come alone or grab a group of friends. I’ve been here so many times in 2023, it’s became one of my frequent spot.“
“Let me start saying that our server was one of the most friendly servers we ever got, always smiling and worried if everything was great with us, food is delicious as well, if you go there you must try their chicken breast, everything is well seasoned and tasty, and they got huge portions of pasta as well, just a little over average price but you do get what you pay for, so 100% worth it“
“Very good to have different and strong beers. They have good variety in beers. They serve 5oz and 16oz sizes so you cann try multiple beers. The adjacent pizza shops has good appetizers and pizzas to eat along.I also like the way they arranged their beers in fridge as well as in the Menu“
“This is a cool little spot! The beer was good! We got a flight of 6 for $25. The only down side was it seemed like they were running out a few of the sours that were listed on the wall. This gives a little bar/restaurant vibe! Our kiddo had the build your own pasta and we had the spicy Italian pizza. Both were really good! There is a wine spot connected to this place so if beer isn't your thing but wine is, you're in luck! Only negatives for this spot is parking is super limited but that's because it's little Italy and some of the patrons seemed like they were a little sloppy drunk. One guy in 30 minutes put down 3 shots and a beer and was already on a good one when we got there. He for sure should've been cut off! We will be back though!“
“Blink and you’ll miss this elevated, second story taproom located above Whole Foods. I dropped in around 6 on a Wednesday and the place was poppin like the face of a teenager that just hit puberty. Luckily I was able to order relatively quickly and even luckier, I found a seat that overlooked the intersection with a view of the San José Shark arena, the fabled Shark Tank. The weather was great. The crowd was animated. The bartenders were tag teaming the line like the iconic WWE champs The Hart Foundation. And the Riwaka Juice Double IPA and Textured Shapes Triple IPA were delicious, golden sun goddess kisses to my lips.Notes: there’s an elevator for those that aren’t good with stairs and the restroom is on the first floor, but ask for the code ahead of time or you’ll be sorely disappointed.“
“Had a great time here. Great discussion with Chris, great guy. Chris (bartender and local Bay Area travel aficionado) not only recommended new interesting beers from Bay Area breweries on tap that fitted with the flavor profile I like. But he went above and beyond by sharing local restaurants and additional breweries in the South Bay to try. I now have new ideas to explore for many weekend to come! Chris was dropping gems and knowledge! Dear ISO owner: Give this guy a raise, this is the kind of person you want on your team. For the bar and beer selection, clean bar with outside seating. Great beer selection. Plus Cash Only is across the street and MiniBoss as well. Highly recommend. Cheers“
“I ordered the Classic burger with a side order of garlic fries. Everything was cooked to perfection. The burger is smaller in size compared to other restaurants but it was just the right amount for me. The guy that took our order was very nice and polite and the restaurant has a pretty chill vibe. I’ll try out their pizzas and beers on tap next time I comeParking: The parking across the restaurant has a meter. I came on a Sunday so it was free that day“
“The wait to be seated was not long. Our drink order was quickly taken not long after we were seated. We chose smaller dishes to share between us. I had 4 small pork ribs with fries my husband had fish and chips with Cole slawThe food was greatThe Beers we enjoyed was cold and tastyWe will go back to Jack Holders restaurant againWheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access at this restaurant“
“Great beer selection, both on tap and in the coolers. Small bar seating area and typically a line to get some beer. For the half a dozen or so times I've been there the service is hit and miss. Some super attentive and moves along efficiently at the bar and line, then some taking a bit too long bs'ing instead of taking care of the longer line. In the side building of San Pedro square, but still enough food in the one building do you didn't want to walk across the area for more.“
“Came for lunch with a group on Fri. We were greeted by amicable staff, service was fairly quick. Ambiance is unique and you can smell the meat before you walk into the establishment. Restaurant was clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It was bustling and customers seemed content. The chicken BBQ sandwich was good, sauce was decent, nothing spectacular but overall good as well as the beans. Berry cobbler pie was delicious.“
“Huge overwhelming menu. Huge overwhelming portions. What else do you need?Great, authentic tasting Filipino food here. I recommend the silog plates, especially the one that lets you sample a few different meats. Comes with garlic rice, fried egg, and veggies. Lumpia was tasty too! Also they make some nice Asian flavor mimosas (think lychee, mango, etc).Go check it out!“
“This place is local to us but we just tried it lately. So far have had:Chili relleno, very good.Tacos, fish and shrimp, both excellent.Enchiladas, chicken. Red sauce may be too hot for most people, green fine. Very good.Carne asada burrito, LARGE. Moderate heat, really tasty.Chips and salsa, excellent, guacamole excellent. Chips were fresh and brown, not yellow. A little more salt than usual but great.“
“Is good place only needs food needs little more taste, some of the plates are excellent while others need More tasty ? flavor... I do like zarandeado it's a awesome plate that comes with Quesadillas, guacamole and beans with ensalada de codito it's my favorite!! ? the good thing is the micheladas are better than most of the other places in San Jose.“
“Really love this place. The bartenders are always friendly, the beer selection is great, friendly dogs are welcome, and its an overall great hangout.I understand that some reviewers are confused as to why their under 21 year old children are not allowed inside. This is because Out of the Barrel is, shockingly, a bar.“
