“A classic, traditional Jazz bar with old fashioned friendly rules, a casual, welcoming vibe and long-standing live music.
Don't dress like a slob, but you don't have to dress up. If you're in old Canoga Park, Casey's is not to be missed.“

“Dee did such an incredible job. She was very polite and professional. She was super attentive and overall helpful. Definitely would come earlier in the day as the dinner period can get a bit loud but regardless a very benevolent experience!“
“We went in for drinks and they did not disappoint! We had the Piña para La Niña and Paloma and they were delicious!! The atmosphere is lively and will go back!!“

“This restaurant offers a great mix of classic and modern dishes. I tried the roasted chicken with herbs, and it was flavorful and juicy. The side of roasted potatoes was crispy and delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive.“

“Great food and atmosphere and within walking distance from the metro rail.“
“Deep in the electric heart of Tarzana, California—tucked between gas stations and ghost stories—lurks a legendary watering hole where the spirits of rock, funk, and full-blown chaos still stomp the floorboards. It’s called Maui Sugar Mill Saloon, and if you walk through those creaky doors on the right night, you’re not entering a bar—you’re entering a living myth.
It was one of those nights.
Buck Stallion—part velvet hammer, part cosmic hype man—stood center stage, hosting like the reincarnation of a game show host who got lost at a rave and decided to never come back. The crowd howled before he even touched the mic. He wasn’t just introducing the show—he was conjuring it.
First up was Nerdy, hoodie up, eyes locked, fingers flying across his fretboard like he was inputting cheat codes into the universe. No vocals. Just riffs. Pure, distilled boss-level energy that sounded like a Sega Genesis console got struck by lightning.
Then came SpeedyFromda9, moving like his sneakers were powered by caffeine and prophecy. His flow was razor sharp, slicing through the beat with a voice that sounded like it had seen too much and decided to weaponize the truth. The whole room leaned forward like the floor tilted toward him.
And just when things were about to cool off—Doctor Striker took the stage. Think gothic punk warrior meets cybernetic cult leader. He and his band delivered a set that felt like getting electrocuted in the middle of a haunted sermon. Guitars screamed, drums exploded, and somewhere in the chaos, the audience found religion. Or at least a reason to sweat through their favorite black t-shirts.
The bartenders—Ariel and Sam—kept the drinks flowing like they were summoned by incantation. The sound? Flawless, thanks to the wizard behind the knobs, Nubs, who made every snare hit feel like thunder in your chest.
The walls were thick with stories. Dave Grohl, Jack Black, Slash—they’d all played here. Not as VIPs. As pilgrims. Worshippers. Just like the rest of us.
By the end of the night, nobody wanted to leave. They lingered like kids who didn’t want recess to end. Because at Maui Sugar Mill Saloon, the music isn’t just sound—it’s a living, breathing jungle. And when it roars, you feel it.
Five stars. Ten shots. Infinite vibes.
This wasn’t just a show—it was Buck Stallion’s Mellow Saturday Night Fever… and the jungle still echoes.“

“Came in for a drink and to check out the area since we are new to the area. The place was kind of small and majority of the people inside were older. The tables had all the dirty cups on there and were still there when we were leaving. We ordered double shots of tequila and a few micheladas. We saw people eating McDonalds in there. They have darts to play and the music was nice,“

“To serve in the same spot, with the same spirit, since 1958 — for 67 years — is not just admirable, it’s a quiet triumph. It tells its own story: of consistency, care, and character. The choice of the name Sutter’s Mill is no coincidence; it echoes with the very roots of California’s bold beginnings — a subtle nod to legacy.
Over the years, we’ve brought many guests to your doors, and each time, we’ve found the same charm: a graceful blend of old-school warmth, elegant décor, and service that still remembers the value of attentiveness.
Sutter’s Mill isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a keeper of tradition in a world that rushes to forget. Please, carry this torch forward, untouched by fleeting trends, and keep shining for at least another 67 years.
Thank you. 🤌🏻🫶🏻“

“Arrived on a Sunday early evening and it was not busy. I ordered the carnitas sliders and a half order of New York wings. The wings were good but I did not enjoy the sliders. Their menu had other items I would try if I was ever in the area again. They have NFL sunday ticket and have a good amount of TV's for the size of the place. If you like a relaxed atmosphere, you would enjoy this place like I did. Shout out to Sara who was friendly and attentive.“

“Finney’s a solid choice if you’re looking for an American gastropub that’s family friendly and offers quality food and drinks. I’ve been to at least four locations and they’re all pretty great. The only reason I didn’t give the food five stars is that the food portions are a bit on the smaller side. For example, if you’re an active adult male (like my hubby) and you order shrimp tacos as your entree, you’ll likely need to add a salad with protein or an appetizer. Aside from that minor note, highly recommend!“

“The service was good. The bread was very plain. Needed oil and balsamic. I got a NY steak and stuffed potato it was very good but the vegetables were not so impressive. My girlfriend got her steak and half of it was perfectly rare. The other half well done. But they took the entire thing off. We'll definitely be back again“

“Order the Aguachile with extra shrimp. It was only $30 dollars for 2 people. So affordable and delicious and clean. I highly recommend you check this place out. They also have drinks and an awesome patio that is right on Ventura Blvd. I always find meter parking but just Park across the street at the shopping center if you can’t find any.
This is more than a simple taco stand it’s a full service marisqueria. My friend from Sinaloa which I consider a Mariscos expert brought me here and it’s delicious, excellent customer service. The waitresses are smoking hot and super authentic and delicious. I feel like I’m in Rosarito beach eating seafood here. So good. I highly recommend this place. This place is way too empty for the quality of food that they serve. Try the Aguachile. I asked for mild spice and they complied. I can’t handle too spicy. 🌶️“
“This place is fantastic, the workers are super welcoming and friendly like if we know each other. They really help in any possible way. They don't rush you to order, they answer all questions asked, and never in a bad mood. They are just beyond nice workers. 1st time I stopped by this place was a week ago while going back home from Fillmore and after working all day the best thing to treat your body is with a nice cup of coffee. As they have a wide variety of options I didn't know which one to go for, I just wanted something different from most places, and this place has plenty of options, anyway I think I got the blended nutty irishman, it was absolutely delicious, personally I really loved it, as I was driving around the corner and there is not Makena in Huntington Park I decided to turn around I get a 2nd coffee cause I didn't know when I would be back to work in the area, and my 2nd coffee was as great as the 1st coffee. And today Nov-12, I decided to go for another one, same great service and great coffee, I got the Santa's cookies, absolutely delicious and the girl who took care of my order, she is extremely helpful and friendly , while I was trying to choose which drink to get she didn't even rush me or didn't even get upset, because I didn't know what to order , I just didn't ask her name but she is super friendly, thanks I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone which is perfect for kids as well. Plus they have food, tacos, burritos, burgers and soft serve for extra dessert. I was lucky today, I got a free meal card, thank you so much again. Personally I really liked this coffee, so flavorful and very good prices.“

“When we arrived a large party, with lots of noisy kids, were preparing to leave. However, it took them a while, so it was noisy and chaotic. But, when they left we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the outdoor patio. You never believe you're sitting next to the very busy parking lot. Kevin was our waiter, again. He was very apologetic for the chaos and, as on previous occasions, very friendly and efficient. My friend wasn't hungry, so she only ate 1/2 of her 1/2 roasted beet salad. She did enjoy it and took the rest to go. I had my usual pasta with goat cheese and marinara sauce. I was hungry and ate my entire dish, whereas I normally take half to go. It was delicious, of course. Overall, we had a nice lunch and catch up. I'll be back.“

“We had a wonderful dinner experience at Umberto's Trattoria and Cantina! Our group of six was warmly welcomed by Tony, our friendly and attentive server. We were seated in one of the cozy dining rooms, which was both comfortable and perfect for conversation.
The menu is a unique and appealing blend of Italian and Mexican specialties—ideal for a group with varied tastes. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including the flavorful Carne Asada, a satisfying Quesadilla, a generous Antipasto Plate, and two orders of classic Pasta Pomodoro. I especially loved the Umberto’s Pasta with penne, broccoli, and sun-dried tomatoes—I requested Alfredo sauce on the side and used it sparingly, and it turned out to be a fabulous choice!
The margarita was excellent, and we were impressed by the wide selection of beer and wine available.
For dessert, we shared the Tartufo al Pistachio, Mixed Berry Cheesecake, and Chocolate Mousse—all of which were delicious and beautifully presented.
They also offer a daily Happy Hour from 3–7 pm (except Sundays when they are closed), featuring great specials on a wide selection of appetizers and drinks. The bar area is relaxed and inviting—perfect for winding down or meeting friends.
Located right on Sepulveda freeway close across from he Getty Museum, Umberto’s is a fantastic midway stop for commuters traveling to and from the San Fernando Valley. A great place to relax and unwind and let the traffic calm down! There’s convenient parking in the garage, and the restaurant offers several dining rooms that can accommodate up to 100 guests—making it an excellent venue for group events.
Highly recommended!“

“Great atmosphere and friendly service! I don’t make it to this area often, but when I do I make sure to bring friends to experience the vibe. Fans of Alice and Wonderland or The Matrix will dig it, but anyone who wants to experience a surreal bar is in for a treat!“
