“Dumpling Monster is in the new Topanga Social area at the Topanga Mall. We (myself, fiance, toddler) tried it as we thought it would be the safest bet for my toddler (meaning she'll most likely eat from this place). I understand the lower reviews as the dumplings don't taste like they're freshly made right before serving. They taste like maybe they've been frozen and I can understand people saying they're similar tasting to frozen dumplings purchased from the market or Costco. That doesn't make them bad though. We thoroughly enjoyed our order. My daughter said she would give them FIVE STARS!! (We saw the low scores beforehand and were talking about it). What I have to say is their spicy dipping sauce is REALLY good! It's like soy sauce and chili sauce mixed and I'm not sure what else, but we really liked it. That kicked up their score.“

“First time at Bao and it was fantastic. We place an rder for two and the clerk took our order with ease. 15 minute wait and we took our food home. The food was fabulous tastes and piping hot. Excellent Choice and next time we dine in because the atmosphere was very comfortable. “Food was great. Orange chicken and grilled bok choy was tasty. Large portions.Not sure what they are going for as fast atmosphere, kinda like a military chow hall. Metal cups? Odd.Had to ask for some items twice. Will return for those big portions, will have lunch for the next day.“

“Best Chinese restaurant in the valley as far as I'm concerned. I usually get the sweet and sour cod, though the Mongolian beef also rocks when I'm in the mood for something darker. Nice ambience and quick, friendly service. I've been here several times, as well as their other restaurant in the Granada Hills area, and I've never been disappointed.“

“This review is specific to their Dim Sum, which is offered daily. Overall food is good, the spicy wontons and chicken baos could use a little more seasoning. Recommend the Turnip Cake and Siu Mai. Attentive service, overall a quiet lunch spot.“
