“As usual, El Unico never disappoints. My husband is diabetic, and has to watch his carbs. They offered to make him a carnitas burrito in a bowl, basically the burrito minus the tortilla. We brought it home, and he used the carb friendly ones, and the El Unico fix was complete! The burritos ? a gigantic, you definitely get your money's worth. My husband has been getting food from here since the original gentleman started this place, when it was just barely a shack. I started 35 years ago, and it was barely much more than that. The food, the atmosphere, and everything else that makes a place magical, still exists here, in this place. Now, I bring my adult son, and his friends, as well. Thanks, from my family to yours, for continuing with the impeccable service, food, and family feeling that was started so many, many years ago.“

“I wish they offered sizes for the burritos.

I like what I order but I'm paying almost $27 for a burrito and softdrink.
And recently the burritos I've been getting seem like they're getting progressively smaller. Today I got a burrito that was like 75% of the normal size it seemed. I ask for light guac and light chipotle on the hemecula burrito because i dont want a cold burrito, and its delicious! But then they do light meat instead to.. so its like, still the same ration of ingredients but . And its like well wait a second... now im $25 deep in a light burrito.
And I was stuffed after eating the whole thing. Normally its like i'm stuffed 60 or 70% through and then I want to take some home but its not worth taking home just that last bit so i hangout for another half hour and let my food digest a bit then finish it.

But if they had a half size or 75% size that would be ideal. Cuz i like what I order but it seems like they dont want to keep giving you that much but they wanna keep charging that amount.

Idk the fries are cold sometimes.
The meats always hot though.
Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you dont.
Its really good meat but walking out $30 later Im kinda like uhhh was that really a $30 burrito?
It was 18, but... by the time you walk out the door its 27.
I had to edit my review, maybe i was just in a bad mood that day.
The fries were cold one time and it just so happened to be busy, stuff happens. I like it here. I like the food, and the people, and the atmosphere idk why i put 3 stars at first i was probably just upset about something else that day. But. It was just that one burrito that was like a 3.5 out of 5 stars and normally its like always 5 stars so idk. I left the top unedited buy i felt they deserved more stars because its almost always good. It was just that one, and now i feel guilty cuz I wrote a bad review about a place I really like so im editing it.“

“My favorite place for chilequiles! So much food for great price. Forgot to take a picture before I started eating because its just so good! Chilequiles are in strips which are so much easier to eat too. My hubby got a torta and they gave it to him in a heart ❤️.“

“I really wanted to like this place, because the food was really good. A girlfriend of mine and my 9 year old son visited here on Tuesday around 4pm. We walked in, we're immediately greeted and sat in a comfy booth, noticing the very unique artwork and decor. Pros: The Cadillac Margaritas on the rocks were very good. Ordered to start the guacamole and chips, was very tasty. We shared the Main Lobster Puerto Nuevo Style, the cook level was on point, and the seasonings were delicious. Now we were told it's 2 lbs of meat, which was definitely not the case. The cost for how much meat, I would say, is not worth the price at $95 an order. My son had grilled chicken tacos that he said were good. And we all appreciated the little churro ice cream dessert I received for a special birthday surprise. Cons: On a 1-10 level of volume, the music was at a 9, for 4pm on a Tuesday, it felt like they were trying to turn the place into a dayclub. Just seemed unnecessary to have it that loud. We could barely hear each other across the table. After sitting a while listening to the music, I would absolutely never bring my son back here. A couple of songs passed as we sat, where every other word was N$gg@#, F@$k, or other explicit words. Some may not agree, but I'm only 38 and find that highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Now, if that's the ambiance you want to have in your restaurant, no argument, however, then make it a 18 and up place or post something stating children may not be the best audience for your restaurant. We even made a comment to our waiter, and he just smiled and said, "Ya, there's a lot of songs like that we play!" and walked off. Our service was definitely less than stellar with him, let me tell you. As we walked in, we stated it was our first time. Anytime we asked a question, before we could finish our question, we were cut off and met with a very dismissive, hasty response as he would be walking away as well. It felt as if we were offending him or he just had more important things to do. Their menu is very confusing, as we were trying to figure out the taco pricing (since it was Taco Tuesday). The service from our waiter, I would say, was a 1 of 10. He was not friendly (even though he smiled) his demeanor was uninviting and sometimes condescending. In the end, thankfully, we had another young lady who was taking care of us. She was very sweet and pleasant as we commented on our concerns she stated she would let the manager know. In understanding, it's not her fault, we would've told our waiter. However, he disappeared after we received our food. All in all, this place has good food, but it is not good enough for us to spend almost $200 for horrible and condescending service.“

I had tacos and ceviche yesterday and came back to try the aguachiles today because I couldn’t stop thinking about that ceviche. “Yesterday I ordered a carne asada fries from here on DoorDash , they were delicious and also the salsa brava and the green mild sauce were delicious. I read a comment of Manuel did you know Manuel !! that you have to put that you want some utensils and condiments so they can added to your order 😂 I mean I always get my carne asada fries from DoorDash and I never have any of this problems, you have to learn how to use an app if you want you keep getting orders from DoorDash or any app :)

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! I've been going here for years and I actually go every week sometimes twice a week. This place has great traditional Mexican food recipes. All the comfort food that you love. I always like sharing great restaurants that can save you money, This is not one of those . prices are fair but for us it's one of the more expensive places we go because it so good. The service is excellent from all the staff. We go there so much that the wait staff usally bring out things we always order as we are seated before we order it. The photo below is of one of our favorite waiters Armando and his trainee Alexa.

“Seems like most customers don't know you need to walk to the second counter to communicate to the cook how you want your food made. Creates frustration for the cook and other customers as he calls out order numbers and has to wait for customers to realize they need to communicate how they want their food made.

My recommendation is to either standardized orders (burritos come with the following: Rice, beans, onions, cilantro, (meat of your choice) cheese, crema)
Or make sure its communicated at the register to each customer that the need to go to the cook.“

“Every other store is at least 20 minutes the wrong direction, and then you have to drive all the way back in one lane traffic. The convenience is amazing compared to the unnecessary driving. Obviously, it caters to the Mexican cuisine, fresh veggies and some of the biggest avocados around or buy a freshly made pint of guacamole. The deli menu is scrumptious. The breakfast burritos are my daughter's favorite. You can literally park right next to the front door. The staff is ready & helpful and you know how rare that is these days. Yes, I said a lot of nice things because I shop there frequently. Lots of cold drinks, no booze but that is handled a few steps away at the neighboring store.“

“DELICIOUS HOMEMADE TORTILLAS! I’ve been following Aztlan Tacos on Instagram for a few months now and I finally made it in! The girl at the counter greeted me with a smile and was INCREDIBLY professional! I asked about their namesake taco the “Aztlan Taco” and she broke it down for me. I didn’t get her name but she was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

I ordered two of the “Aztlan” tacos with carne asada as she recommended, they were really tasty! I think the carne asada could’ve been a bit more savory but it’s only a minor suggestion. The authentic flavors and in-house tortillas wrapping the tacos were phenomenal. My highlight were the sopes! I cannot recommend them enough, you MUST try the sopes! I ordered one chicken sope and it was hands down one of the best sopes I’ve ever had! The cream, cheese, meat and sope itself tasted like ingredients I would get in Mexico! Trust me, I know authentic. PRO-TIP: Squeeze a little lime on your Aztlan tacos, I did!

Everything about this taco shop was quite convenient and accessible. There’s a salsa bar which is covered at all times, a small fountain with classic soft drinks and a side fountain with jamaica and horchata. The restaurant was very clean and modern. I appreciated the quality AC too!
