“Went for taco Tuesday and little to our knowledge it was karaoke night also! The music selection was something for everyone from alternative rock to RnB. There’s pretty much two sides to the restaurant the front is the dine in experience and towards the back is the bar and where they have activities like pool karaoke and more. The service was okay. There was a waitress that walked past us several times and finally after another came and took our drink orders, we over heard her say “I thought someone else was gonna take that table.” To me, a simple “has anyone helped you yet?” would’ve sufficed, especially walking by looking at us as many times as she did. Other than that it was a great time listening to the people singing and playing pool. We tried all of the tacos on the special which were: carne asada, chicken, pastor and shrimp. Would not recommend the pastor if you are use to having it been made a certain way. This one seemed dry, all of the others were delicious! Definitely recommend this spot for cheap and entertaining fun“

“As usual, El Unico never disappoints. My husband is diabetic, and has to watch his carbs. They offered to make him a carnitas burrito in a bowl, basically the burrito minus the tortilla. We brought it home, and he used the carb friendly ones, and the El Unico fix was complete! The burritos ? a gigantic, you definitely get your money's worth. My husband has been getting food from here since the original gentleman started this place, when it was just barely a shack. I started 35 years ago, and it was barely much more than that. The food, the atmosphere, and everything else that makes a place magical, still exists here, in this place. Now, I bring my adult son, and his friends, as well. Thanks, from my family to yours, for continuing with the impeccable service, food, and family feeling that was started so many, many years ago.“

“I really wanted to like this place, because the food was really good. A girlfriend of mine and my 9 year old son visited here on Tuesday around 4pm. We walked in, we're immediately greeted and sat in a comfy booth, noticing the very unique artwork and decor. Pros: The Cadillac Margaritas on the rocks were very good. Ordered to start the guacamole and chips, was very tasty. We shared the Main Lobster Puerto Nuevo Style, the cook level was on point, and the seasonings were delicious. Now we were told it's 2 lbs of meat, which was definitely not the case. The cost for how much meat, I would say, is not worth the price at $95 an order. My son had grilled chicken tacos that he said were good. And we all appreciated the little churro ice cream dessert I received for a special birthday surprise. Cons: On a 1-10 level of volume, the music was at a 9, for 4pm on a Tuesday, it felt like they were trying to turn the place into a dayclub. Just seemed unnecessary to have it that loud. We could barely hear each other across the table. After sitting a while listening to the music, I would absolutely never bring my son back here. A couple of songs passed as we sat, where every other word was N$gg@#, F@$k, or other explicit words. Some may not agree, but I'm only 38 and find that highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Now, if that's the ambiance you want to have in your restaurant, no argument, however, then make it a 18 and up place or post something stating children may not be the best audience for your restaurant. We even made a comment to our waiter, and he just smiled and said, "Ya, there's a lot of songs like that we play!" and walked off. Our service was definitely less than stellar with him, let me tell you. As we walked in, we stated it was our first time. Anytime we asked a question, before we could finish our question, we were cut off and met with a very dismissive, hasty response as he would be walking away as well. It felt as if we were offending him or he just had more important things to do. Their menu is very confusing, as we were trying to figure out the taco pricing (since it was Taco Tuesday). The service from our waiter, I would say, was a 1 of 10. He was not friendly (even though he smiled) his demeanor was uninviting and sometimes condescending. In the end, thankfully, we had another young lady who was taking care of us. She was very sweet and pleasant as we commented on our concerns she stated she would let the manager know. In understanding, it's not her fault, we would've told our waiter. However, he disappeared after we received our food. All in all, this place has good food, but it is not good enough for us to spend almost $200 for horrible and condescending service.“

“Hands down one of the greatest restaurants in Lake Elsinore. The food and service was awesome. My mom and dad had their reception there. Not only was the staff nice. They helped us with everyone and everything. They took good care of my parents, and our friends and family. And let me tell you there was a lot of people. Everyone at Emilio’s was family to us at the end of the night! They even partied with us! 🥳 Thank you so much for everything. One more thing the food was delicious!!!!!!! We had beans, enchiladas, flautus, rice and guacamole. I wanted more round of the flautus!“

“First time there. My son-in-law had the shrimp cocktail which had some black looking dressing on top which we have never seen and he said it tasted awful. My daughter got birria taco with an overwhelming topping of guacamole which she had to remove and I had a bean and cheese burrito and a steak and shrimp taco. My kids got sick on the way home and I got sick the next morning. I spent $80.00 and we had to take a day off work today just to recover. Will never eat here again. Be careful“

“Alright, first, real talk, the chicken hard tacos are fire, I recommend popping em in the microwave for 50 secs and GG, melts the cheese perfectly and they're just hot enough to not burn the hell out of your mouth, but you wanna eat em right after or they'll obviously get soggy from the oil and fall apart. I can't speak for their other food though, all I can say is the other location can't make Mexican food for s*** other than tacos, but I don't know if it's the same case here I'd be scared to chance it tbh lol. Now this may be false because I haven't eaten at both locations side by side on the same day, but the chicken here did seem to be more fresh and moist and that's surprising considering I got there just before closing so it had to have been sitting there all day and the worst of their scraps and I couldn't tell, so credit due.

Second, two reasons to come to this location over their other one. 1.) it's open later. 2.) customer service is nicer, I don't mean like they were especially friendly or anything just that the chick who takes orders at the other location is a b****.“

“Every other store is at least 20 minutes the wrong direction, and then you have to drive all the way back in one lane traffic. The convenience is amazing compared to the unnecessary driving. Obviously, it caters to the Mexican cuisine, fresh veggies and some of the biggest avocados around or buy a freshly made pint of guacamole. The deli menu is scrumptious. The breakfast burritos are my daughter's favorite. You can literally park right next to the front door. The staff is ready & helpful and you know how rare that is these days. Yes, I said a lot of nice things because I shop there frequently. Lots of cold drinks, no booze but that is handled a few steps away at the neighboring store.“

“Ordered To-Go when we arrived and was impressed by how clean and nice the restaurant is inside, restrooms clean too. Chicken quesadilla was a good size, had lots of slices. The cali burrito with asada had the best asada I have tried in lake Elsinore, wildomar, and Temecula for sure! Street tacos and big tacos seemed similar in size for the price difference but both had very tasty chicken and the al pastor was a great consistency, not too greasy but lacked a little in flavor. Grilled fish taco was tasty too! They have 2 mild salsas and 1 spicier, all had good flavor. Took about 10 minutes to have our food all ready which was a bonus! Happy with our first visit we will be returning to try more!“

“I have not been to El Apollo Loco for years but decided to tonight. After my experience, I had to pull over after I literally just left to write a review. I don’t know the workers name but the lady who helped me at the drive thru window was the most kind, happy and cheerful worker I’ve ever seen.
