“Wow wow wow!!! The fish and chips here are delicious!!! My husband and I ran in right before closing and the fish was so fresh and the batter was so crispy! My husband grew up in Washington eating fish and chips at Iver’s and he said this is the closest he’s ever had to their fish and chips. The owners are so sweet and hooked up us with a couple extra pieces since they were closing in a few minutes. Tugboat Fish and Chips is becoming a staple in our household!

“Small little place by south sacramento by Kaiser. Was craving some fish and chips saw this place had good reviews so gave it a try walked in wasn't to busy was greeted right away. Got 3 piece cod and chips with a side of shrimp. Nice crunch to the fish and shrimp really tasty. Im sure it was cooked to order as I did have to wait a moment for it but not that long so no issues there. 4 stars this time but will try again soon as it was good eats.“

“The food was pretty good the service was pretty good we were just looking for a place to eat some fish and chips near home and this place popped up on Google we stopped in and ordered some fish n chips and the rest is history my only negative about the experience was the restaurant interior itself could use an update“

“Ordered the #4 fish, prawns, and chips. Generous serving of all items and came with three sauces: tarter, cocktail, and malt vinegar. Quality was pretty standard but freshly made and crispy.
Vibe is modest and old school with fish and oceanic decor. The maps on the tables are cool too. Service is kind and quick. Only took about 10 minutes. Went in about half hour before closing so it was to-go only.“

“GREAT fish and chips, don't judge a book by its cover. A handful of 4-person booths inside to enjoy your meal at; tables are clean and nowhere near as sticky as other fry shops I've been to.
Very reasonably priced and the pieces of fish are HUGE (like 9 inches of cod each). Family sized dinners are a good value--we got the 6-piece Rowboat--and they have Mug root beer in the fountain! (Pepsi products) The hushpuppies had good flavor and were not soggy or chewy. Fried oysters were huge and also good.
The house white sauce is more garlic cream than tartar sauce. There was a very tomato-forward slightly chunky spicy mock cocktail sauce that was also pleasant. Coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with some light creamy dressing, which was enough to offset the fried everything.
Overall one of my favorite stops on this side of town!“

“Best Bar Pub to watch football⚽⚽⚽ aka soccer matches. I am so happy I found this place to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup on television and will definitely go down as my favorite place to go to watch these matches.“

“I had a great experience at Rays Chicken and Fish! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the fish was crispy and tasty. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot.
The customer service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they care about their customers and take pride in the food they serve.

“Stopped by Tugboat Fish & Chips and everything was sooo good. The fish was fresh, crispy, and perfectly cooked. The fries were top tier, the coleslaw was super fresh and crunchy, and the prawns were honestly to die for. You can tell the food is made fresh and with care. Definitely coming back!“

“The only complaint I had was they don’t have a condiment bar! You have to ask for lemon, catsup, or even malt vinegar! All those things come in small quantities, except for the lemon!“
