“We were looking for a taco place with my sister and we found this place. It is very clean and very friendly. It is so delicious, especially the tacos al pastor and the burritos are super large. I recommend them“

“10/10 highly recommend! Fresh, tasty, quality ingredients prepared and plated to perfection! Portion sizes are worth the price. Affordable, tasty eats with excellent customer service in a lovely outdoor setting. My son and I had the fish tacos and shared a steak & shrimp birria taco. OMG! INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS AND FLAVORFUL, down to the sliced carrots! I was visiting from the East Coast where they know NOTHING about authentic Mexican food! I could eat at La Grana Fish EVERY DAY!“

“This is a Very Small Hole in the wall Taqueria, ( just the way i like them) with Excellent tasting food & big portions, I would say 99% of the customers take their food to go! there is table for 2 right outside the door under a tent. Great Menu only NO FRIES, I love Carne Asada Fries, But still 5 Stars on Everything!!“

“This place looks a little 'sketchy', BUT the food is very good. I was working an event at the Oakland Colesium, and this was the only place you could walk to. If you can speak a little Spanish, it goes a long way. I got the Cubana sandwich, and it was so big, I could only eat half of it.“

“Felt like I was back in the motherland (Mexico). The dark, sketchy street just adds to the atmosphere. This place takes zelle if you don't have cash. The tacos are 3 bucks a pop, and they fill them fat. Best dang taco I've had in a while.“
“best street corn ever !! looking forward to trying there other stuff“

“Sweet Mex makes the BEST Mangonada around! They're unmatched. They also make delicious food. The Carne asada tacos are delicious, the street corn is tastey, & the tostiloco's satisfies every bit of my savory craving for the day. Basically, they have a little something for everyone! Salty, Sweet, refreshing...you name it, they GOT IT! 🤩“

“Amazing food! I go here twice a week probably and they even remember my name now. It’s all really good so I switch it up. The buche is unusual so I like to get that and it’s very fresh . Very nice people and clean. My go to is 4 Asada tacos with a chile on the side. You won’t regret making this place a new favorite.“

“The food was delicious! I had a super burrito and two tacos. My girlfriend ordered two tacos and carne asada fries. Honestly I don't remember the meat we got in our tacos but it was so good and the salsa wasn't too spicy but it had a kick. The burrito was so great and very filling. Oh and the cucumber water was so refreshing and my girl liked her drink, I don't remember what it was though.
The service was great. They brought our food out, were attentive to our needs when we needed an extra fork or napkins. And the ambiance is really welcoming. It reminds me of my tias houses when I would visit in Mexico.“

“I recently moved to the neighborhood and called a pick up order for a burrito. They were so kind to call me back because I forgot to mention the type of beans I wanted. When I went in, they were extremely nice and my burrito was massive. Chips and salsa were great. Large drink selection. Everything they do is in house. Can’t wait to go back!“

“? Alright folks, here’s the deal: Living in Alameda has me often yearning for some legit taco action. But I’ve found that I usually need to head over to Oakland to truly satisfy those cravings. And that’s exactly how I ended up at this taco truck!Nestled in Oakland, this spot was a serendipitous find on an evening adventure. The setting is chill, making it the perfect backdrop for some true street taco vibes. And speaking of streets, there’s a handy parking lot right at the corner, so you can just park and wander over with ease.I dove into two pastor and two carne asada tacos, and even though they’re on the petite side, they don’t skimp on flavor. My plate was brimming with extras - a generous helping of radishes and jalapeños which added that fresh zing to every bite. And oh, those salsas! Perfectly spiced and absolutely delightful. Now, are these the all-time champions of my taco experiences? Maybe not. But when the taco craving hits in Alameda, this Oakland gem is definitely worth the short trek. Can’t wait to see what the rest of their menu holds on my next visit!“

“I hope I find this in heaven. Hands-down, one of the best Carnitas I’ve had. Run out of a taco truck in a very unassuming location. Juicy, tender and they give generous portions. I got that fairly late at 2PM and everything was sold out except for the carne. The person I spoke to said to come early usually before noon if you want to have a taste of everything else. There are two tents set up with tables and chairs.“

“Thrifty prices for this food truck if you’re hungry and near Hegenberger. It’s a good find particularly since they offer a $8 veggie burrito ? tax is included so that’s a bonus. I had the chicken one and it’s ok.-the red sauce was better that average and fresh radishes, pickled carrot slices and quality jalapeños.The churros were fresh, temperature hot, 10”, and outstanding— nice servers plenty of parking ?️ I will revisit ? grateful they are there ☀️“
“Good honest taco truck, great value, huge portions. Takes cash, Zelle, and Venmo.
If you’re an Olympic swimmer who just finished a workout then the super burrito here would be perfect for you. I stopped by after a 40 min bike ride and even the regular burrito had me stuffed.
Only possible downside is you’ll sit at a plastic table in a gravel patch shaded by trees. Or in your car in the parking lot just adjacent. But let’s be honest, that’s EXACTLY the vibe what you want from a taco truck :)“

“This Mexican restaurant is a hidden gem. Their enchilada plate is delicious. Their tacos are flavorful. The burritos huge, are filling and very good. The service is excellent. Portions are generous. The staff always has a warm smile and makes you feel appreciated and welcomed. It's very casual. You can eat there there's plenty of space. A lot of people get their orders to go. I've always got mine to go & we eat it at the bar next door. I love their salsa bar so much. There's different salsa to choose from. Their chips are authentic and fresh. Very crispy. Shrimp is not overcooked but just right. My husband gets the burrito carnitas extra crispy. The nachos are hella good too. Friendly people, good food.“

“Buen dia. This roadside taco stand is 🔥🔥🔥. Fresh tortillas, al pastor on the spit, suadero, tripas, a little table to sit at; it's a really nice family-run-joint, and cheap. I know I sound n smell like a gringo... but this place is the real deal. Sincerely, Mr. Poco Tonto“

“The tacos and everything are very good, they just have to improve the issue of the lemons, where they buy them, because they don't have anything sumo, and you only ask and order lemon because they don't add any sumo, but otherwise the food and the tacos I love them“

“Has it all: fair prices, good quality and impressive selection for a truck. Only a little seating and I like to eat stuff fresh, but since most get to go, prob a spot usually available. 3 tacos for $9 out the door (cash) hit the spot for lunch. Offered up chips and nice carrots, jalapenos, radish, and cucumber provided.“

“Great value and good flavor overall. The stewed meats like lengua were super tender and rich—definitely the highlight. The grilled options (tripa, asada, al pastor) were just okay; tripa could’ve been crispier, and the others lacked that seared depth.
The restaurant is clean, and service is solid, though it’s mostly self-serve—order at the counter and grab your own salsas and drinks. Easy, no-fuss setup that works. I’d come back and stick with the braised meats.“
“Everything is very well Seasoned, my family loves coming to this taco truck, the steak fries, the Torta Ronco, the birria tacos, the hamburger and the asada taquitos and the 10” pastor, my family is always satisfied, the flavored waters They are also very good!!“

“Tacos here are seriously good, and it's hard to find authentic tacos al vapor like these. I ordered the lengua and cabeza tacos, and they were so well-seasoned that I could tell right away they didn't need any extra salt—they were perfect as they came.
The red house salsa is extremely spicy, while the green salsa has great flavor with a milder kick. Both pair really well with the tacos.
I paid $31 for 6 tacos and 2 drinks, which felt like a fair price because they really load the tacos with meat. You definitely get your money's worth.
I gave this place 5 stars because the food was outstanding. The only minor challenge is parking. As for the dining area, there are about 4 or 5 tables plus a long wall counter that can seat around 10 people, giving you a good idea of the layout. It wasn't an issue when I visited, but if they get really busy, seating could fill up quickly. These tacos are so good that they're definitely worth eating fresh on the spot.
I'll definitely be coming back—the only trouble I see myself running into is finding parking.“

“You know how some places will have great reviews for the food and then you walk in and it's not so clean. This place is spotless and they are super nice. They even walked the food out to my car because it wasn't too busy when I went on a weekday. Their portions are generous and the neighborhood as far as immediate neighborhood is safe to park in while you're eating.“

“How have I not left a review yet? Because this place is a Blu3 Diamond in the rough. Excellent and delicious, high quality treats served with such ease and without that modern hassle of tip iPads and review receipts. Make a stop here and experience possibly San Lorenzo/Hayward/San Leandro's most uniquely authentic, fun and flavorful take on Mexican cuisine to date!“
“Probamos el churrasco, papas fritas y steak fries. Todo muy delicioso. Vamos a regresar a probar los caldos y atoles😄“
“I discovered this great gem of a bar during the final Hayward B street block party of the season! The owner was very friendly & the bar tender was amazing! She was working so hard because it was super busy. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken wings & they were the best I'd ever had. YUM!! They took awhile to come but as I said they were super busy at the time, but they were well worth the wait. Come on down to Blue Crown Bar & Bistro!!“

“If you are looking for some good tacos/Mexican food, this is a great place to come. They are located behind the am/pm gas station. Thier tacos are now $2, which kinda sucks since they used to be $1.25. They recently moved to that location and have been moving around for the past few years.“

“I've been going to The Mexican for years. The food was top notch with an awesome tequila bar. I went in last Saturday, Dec. 21st, 2024 at 5pm and it was empty. That in itself seemed strange. We got seated. No water. No Chips and Salsa. We received menus and that was why it was empty. You're paying for everything at 25% to 45% more than before with many meals and all Combinations GONE. To get a Taco, an Enchilada with Rice and Beans was $38... That's INSANE... We walked out and sadly will never return... He's the same reason Buffalo Bills was a ghost town at 430pm on a Saturday. Went there the day before and it's the same - prices 25% to 50% higher. Out of 3 popular beers. No milk. Menu changes for the worse. Miss Bill and the good food and great atmosphere that used to be since 1983. Another spot I'll never go back to...“
