“Initially weren’t sure we descended upon the right place as we saw the sign on a gas station, but we were craving shawarma so we gave it a try and we’re glad we did. We were welcomed in by very friendly people. The food was AMAZING. I got the chicken shawarma salad and my husband got the beef and lamb shawarma plate. We devoured it in our car. There’s currently no seating but it’s in the plans to add some outdoor seating. Would def come back again”

“I'm so glad the first bakery I drove to was closed. This was such a great find! I bought several things to try and share with my coworkers, but hands down, the cinnamon bread was the BEST! The employee was so sweet and helpful. Hope to be back again when I'm in town!”

“Omg, came in for some breads and walked out with one awesome Burrito. I ordered a large Chile Verde Burrito and I was not disappointed.
It's a basic Burrito: Tortilla, Beans, Rice and your choice of Filling (Care. asada, Adobado, Pollo, Chorizo, or Chile Verde).
I ordered mine without Rice, which is really the best way to enjoy Chile Verde.”

“The cheesy garlic bread, jalapeño poppers, garlic twists, mozzarella sticks, thin crust, and original crust are all on point here. Couple that with an amazing service and that it's owned and operated by a navy veteran that prides himself on perfecting his craft and you have the perfect recipe for a fun night for the family! If you haven't tried them, you need to today!”

“When the lady at the local fruit stand suggested this taco truck, we knew it would be good. A steady flow of locals ordering from the seafood-focused menu was all the more assuring. The tacos made with shrimp and with fish were yummy, staying true to the actual flavor of fresh seafood. Minimal dress up. The mixed ceviche served on tostada came with hot sauce and ketchup — a must. One of many Mexican taco trucks along Highway 1 well-worth a pit stop.”

“I stopped by the taqueria inside Santa Fe Foods and was unexpectedly impressed. I ordered three regular carne asada tacos and a large horchata, and the total came out to $16.66, worth every penny.
The carne asada was flavorful and juicy, and the meat-to-tortilla ratio was perfect nothing skimpy here. I’m a big salsa guy, that either makes it or breaks it for me and their salsa definitely made it. The green salsa is full of flavor and the red has the kick.
The horchata looked hand made and was smooth, refreshing, just the right amount of sweet. Overall, a great meal with authentic flavor and generous portions. I left full and satisfied. I’ll be coming back for more real soon”

“At least the place I went to the previous afternoon seemed to be understaffed because they took too long between ordering, cooking and delivering my hamburger. Despite this, the employees are few and they know that in reality my father asked me that Vienna would honor our new”

“Incredible food! The chicken mole was on special today and the chicken was literally falling off the bone, and the mole was some of the best I've ever had. We also got pupusas, which were yummy. And high quality chips and salsa. My partner wanted grilled jalapeños, which were not on the menu, and they agreed and then didn't charge us. Prices also very reasonable. We spent $30 with no drinks. At lunch on a saturday, the place was busy but still plenty of seating. Clearly the locals love this place too. And the waiters were all super sweet.”

“Although located in an unassuming little yellow cottage off the main road, Siam Marina Thai Cuisine tries its best to make its presence known. Its magenta trim and string lights guide you in. As you enter, the cozy building is cleaved in twain, leaving a tiny yet comfortable and inviting dining room on one side and a cloistered kitchen on the other. You find yourself blanketed within bright pink walls and cheerfully colorful decor. The kitchen is close enough to where you can hear the bubbling of fryer oil and vigorous conversations in Thai -- I can imagine it's quite fun when the place is full (I came for lunch and it was completely empty).
I wanted to try something really spicy as I like to test my limits (and the restaurant's), but the mango curry caught my eye, so instead I decided to see how a fruit would fit in to the meal.
The fried fish cakes I ordered as well were quite good, but I was mostly impressed with everything around them. The sauce they came with was delightful and filled with fresh vegetables, and they were topped with freshly fried basil that was maybe just a tad undercrisped. The fish cakes had a bit of a leathery exterior, but were juicy and not soaked in oil as I had feared might be the case.
As I first began trying the curry, I was a little disappointed. The mango, I thought, felt out of place in both taste and texture, and the curry itself did not have an identifiable mango flavor beyond that. But it quickly grew on me, and again I found that everything tasted very fresh: the vegetables were just crunchy enough and the curry sauce was bold yet sweet. I ended up eating every last bit of mango.
Thai cuisine is not one that I am well acquainted with but it is one I'd like to try more often, and Siam Marina was a decided boost of confidence. I commend their practice and wish them well.”

“We went to a side street for a foot massage because of the traffic, and there was a Korean chicken place right next door, so we went in happily.
The owner was already preparing to close, but he gladly took our order. The interior was really clean and comfortable, and the owner's kindness and the taste of the chicken were the best. 👍👍👍
I strongly recommend you stop by at least once.”

“We went to this place because we wanted sushi and it had a good rating. That said, being from out of state headed to Monterey we didn't know that Castroville is not a place a lot of folks familiar with the route to Monterey would stop. THINK AGAIN.
If you want Asian food or specifically Sushi, OMG
the Chef/owner prepares generous portions that are Outstanding.
The place is in a shopping center and the exterior was a little tired. Then we walked in and the interior felt a little cramped, but the dining area was clean. So the atmosphere isn't special. However, the food and the service was worth the time to pull off the main drag and have a filling meal at a great price 👍”
