“The restaurant and food were really good and authentic, but a bit pricey, otherwise it would be 5-star. I got the Grilled Chicken Avocado Salad, and my wife got the fish tacos. Both were very good. The Margareta was a little pricey for $11. But service and food were good.“

“I've tried few different plates at Mr Taco, and found that they have pretty Good Food. Place has Good Vibes, and the Ladies do an Amazing job accommodating. I find cook looking out towards eating area and I'm sure he's checking on patrons. I bought a hat from the restaurant a well.

“10 min. Drive from cabazon outlets, got there 30 minutes before they closed. This was our first time so we were a little skeptical, but let me tell you.
Food was delicious.The gentleman at the register was very welcoming.
Ordered surf and turf tacos for my hubbie. I had a bite OMG so bomb.
Also 2 street tacos (pastor) was my choice of protein & a Asada burrito that my two little ones shared.
Everything was very well seasoned and fresh.
Definitely will be coming back!“

“Fantastic food. Loved the refried beans. Came back a year later since I don't live in the area. The food is still great. I had that humongous Margarita again .....and I'm feeling it. This time I had Las Marias enchiladas. Great way to sample the green, red, and mole enchilada. I couldn't make up my mind which one I liked best. My husband ate the same thing as last time. The chicken fajitas. The man is very consistent with what he likes. The enchiladas were great because there was no beans or rice which would have been too much food. Service was outstanding. “husband ordered the all meat (pollo/chicken) with no onions and added cheese. Said it was amazing and the chicken was perfectly grilled. I however did not favor my meal. I ordered the meat (half pastor/half lingua) nachos. I think I expected either homemade nacho cheese sauce or cheese blend on chips then put under broiler to melt. what I got was canned nacho cheese sauce that had been thinned down with water as it was rather soupy. The chips sadly turned to mush due to the watery cheese sauce and the easily half cup of red sauce that was poured over the top. Sadly I cannot tell you if the meats were good because they were drowning in red sauce. For 14.00 I expected better quality. we will go back, I will order 2 tacos no sauce next time.“

“stopped here on the way to joshua tree to have an excuse to drive through the mountains. it was a very nice treat and put waitress was lovely, i had a gordita for the first time with shrimp, would recommend! great mountain view’s.
we were able to walk across the street and see a free petting zoo where we watched a big pig pee on a tiny pig“

“We stopped by after work today and I have to say the food was awesome, the employees were friendly and really wanted to have our feedback on the food, even if there was something we felt was wrong with it. We assured the waiter the food was top notch and I have to say for a hole in the wall place they present your food like a five star restaurant, the only difference is you get a lot of food here, not so much at a swanky five star place. We will definitely be coming back. Prices were fair, food was fantastic and generous, employees were friendly and attentive the ambiance was quaint.“

“I come here most Fridays with my husband for lunch and I love the hardshell chicken tacos so much I get them every time lol. I treated myself to some guacamole this time since he had an appointment. So good.

“Welcomed as I walked in the door even though they were busy. Friendly cashier, Iventh J, suggested menu items I might enjoy when he saw my confusion. Invitation to the salsa bar by cashier. Salsa bar spotless. Encouraged me to enjoy the salsa. Drink station spotless. Table tops clean, seats and floor clean. When order was called by a young male team member he waited to see if everything was acceptable. Looked me in the eye and said, "Please enjoy the rest of your day"! Such a pleasent experience. I will be sure to tell my friends and family about this exceptional El Pollo Loco. They deserve absolute congratulations for maintaining quality, friendliness and cleanliness. Thank you.“
