Food came out fast and tastes amazing! Coming from the land of dry ass tamales, I so dearly appreciate when it’s not and these tamales are perfect.

“For our late lunch on the way to Whitewater and Idyllwild, we decided to try Mexican food since my husband saw it had good reviews, so why not! The salsa for the nachos was a bit watery, but still tasty (I ate it anyway, haha). The portions were big! I had two tacos, one shrimp and one fish, while my husband had three tacos. The food was worth it: big and tasty. The staff were okay; they were busy, but at least three different people still checked in on us to ask how we were doing and what we needed, which was nice.“

“We stopped by after work today and I have to say the food was awesome, the employees were friendly and really wanted to have our feedback on the food, even if there was something we felt was wrong with it. We assured the waiter the food was top notch and I have to say for a hole in the wall place they present your food like a five star restaurant, the only difference is you get a lot of food here, not so much at a swanky five star place. “husband ordered the all meat (pollo/chicken) with no onions and added cheese. Said it was amazing and the chicken was perfectly grilled. I however did not favor my meal. I ordered the meat (half pastor/half lingua) nachos. I think I expected either homemade nacho cheese sauce or cheese blend on chips then put under broiler to melt. what I got was canned nacho cheese sauce that had been thinned down with water as it was rather soupy. The chips sadly turned to mush due to the watery cheese sauce and the easily half cup of red sauce that was poured over the top. Sadly I cannot tell you if the meats were good because they were drowning in red sauce. For 14.00 I expected better quality. we will go back, I will order 2 tacos no sauce next time.“

“Mr. Taco is easily one of the best spots in Beaumont for fresh, delicious Mexican food. Every time I stop by, the food is consistently amazing — flavorful, hot, and made with care. Their tacos are packed with meat (the el pastor is great), the salsas are bold, and everything tastes like real, authentic cooking. You can tell they put pride into every plate.

The service is just as good as the food. When we went there was 30 minute wait because it was very busy. However, the staff is friendly, fast, and always makes you feel welcome. Even when they’re busy, they keep things moving and never compromise on quality. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and perfect whether you’re grabbing takeout or sitting down for a quick meal.

My favorites are the carne asada tacos and the burritos — big portions, great seasoning, and super satisfying. If you're in Beaumont and craving Mexican food, Mr. Taco should be your first stop. Highly recommended!“

“Food is ok. I would say there has been a major shift in taste since the reopening. The portions are more than decent but the actual food seems to lack flavor. It might be a new meat vendor or cook but the food just isnt as flavorful as before.
They have definitely improved their service as the waitresses are available and will usually get you what you requested pretty quick.

I'll breakdown exactly why I gave this place a 3 on food.

The meats such as Steak, beef and the chicken all seem to just have no flavor.
It's so weird because you get a meal that looks amazing but as soon as you taste the main element of why you bought it there's nothing there.
I've ran into this in other locations and its usually the source of where they bought the meat and in rare occasions its the recipe.
Also their chicken seems soft but not a positive way. This is a weird one to explain. The chicken seems to feel like as if it was boiled in order to make it more tender and easily cut but to the point it feels mushy in your mouth but in a way you didn't want to.“

“Ok at first walk in, I was like ok not over fancy or Mexican atmosphere but it was clean and looked good. I'm married to a Hispanic woman who cooks from scratch so I'm quite the picky foodie..FANTASTIC menudo, high quality, not much grease very clean, the Pata was meaty not just a piece of bone and some skin. The chicken enchilada with green chilie salsa, super favorable, authentic like it was made at home another 10, finally the chilie relleno the from the egg to the cheese and the sauce was another 10.. The rice excellent tomatoe flavor and the refried beans, a very enjoyable flavor and texture profile on the palate. Finally the prices compare to taco bell now a days, amazing value and bang for your buck. Last but never least our server JANET, what a bundle of joy, such a big smile and so very kind to my wife and I. Thank you Janet, when we cone back to the area this will always be our spot!. To management kudos to you for actually being able to bring authentic Mexican flavor and food into the restaurant scene.. not easy to do, but we'll done in this case!“

“Fantastic food. Loved the refried beans. Came back a year later since I don't live in the area. The food is still great. I had that humongous Margarita again .....and I'm feeling it. This time I had Las Marias enchiladas. Great way to sample the green, red, and mole enchilada. I couldn't make up my mind which one I liked best. My husband ate the same thing as last time. The chicken fajitas. The man is very consistent with what he likes. The enchiladas were great because there was no beans or rice which would have been too much food. Service was outstanding. Love the employees. The large
margarita gave me a serious buzz.“

Everything on the menu is so good! When I say the portions are LARGE, hubby and I usually share their dinner plate's.
