- typically chain restaurants have a cookie cutter feel to them but The Manager Noel prepared my first ever poki bowl and while I might be biased because I’ve never had it before - I can’t but say it was AMAZING. 10/10 will be back. Great and friendly service from everyone on staff made this place unique and feel welcoming. Chill not rushed atmosphere - good spot to find.“

“Everyone in our house used to like poke. After we found Poke Chop, we LOVE poke! They have so many options of fish and sauces and toppings. I’ve never found as big of a selection. My daughter would eat here every day if I’d let her. There aren’t many places in Hillcrest where a family of 3 can get dinner for around $30, and be totally stuffed, and not feel blah afterwards. The fish is always really fresh. The only thing that could make it better is if they added mango, mmmmm. We try to eat there as much as possible because it will be a very sad day if they close. (It’s a reality in the Hillcrest restaurant business ☹️).“

“I ordered 2 create your own bowl, the fish is really good but their portions aren't satisfying. The fish portions are good you get 2 choices but the rice is like nothing. They give you a choice between double rice or rice and seaweed salad, id recommended the double rice but then you get no seaweed salad. Compared to other poke places, they don't offer topping like the crunchy onion or sesame seeds. Overall it taste good and the scenery is really comforting, the worker seemed a bit distracted or annoyed though.“

“I've been to this location and ordered online a few times. It's always been friendly, fast and fresh. I'm surprised at the bad reviews, but maybe I've just been lucky. I find The Poke Co. is one of the better, more solid options that doesn't try to nickel and dime you for ingredients and gives good portions.“

They charge $1 for literally the smallest piece I've ever seen and when I called to voice my concern about feeling ripped off, they didn't care. “I got a lobster with huge worm inside. I don't want to post the photos because that's just ocean life. However i do believe a better inspection could've been done before allowing the sale. They made it right and simply offered a replacement, they still triumph the other local shops.“

The noodles were a good size & texture and the right portion for me, but some ramen lovers might be left wanting more noods. The spicy miso broth was good and not too greasy and the meat had a delicious charred taste. The soft boiled marinated eggs were also surprisingly good. We also got the garlic edamame and some sushi.“
