As someone who is a lover of food, and will travel for it, id like to think my standards are high. Being from San Diego - there is a huge discrepancy once you leave the city to OC and LA for mexican food. Tacos Los Cholos is the exception. This is the best mexican spot in OC that ive had in my 10 years of being here (RIP Taco Maria - but this was a different experience).

Whatever I have had here, its been stellar. From basic meats, to premium cuts, the splurge is worth it. Burritos are the perfect blend of ingredients, and no filler needed. The tacos have plenty of meat - even find myself making one into two (double tortillas on them).

Even the secondary details - Salsa's and Chiles Güeros (the chili's on the side with every order). Salsa's have a range of spice and diversity that anyone can enjoy because they are all flavorful. Chiles Güeros are fire roasted with a little salt on them - man what a detail that I have never appreciated till here.

This place will be on the permanent (likely weekly) rotation for me - all locations.“

“Best birria I’ve ever had. And I have had a lot. I literally drank the consommé straight and I’m tempted to go back and order a gallon of it. The staff were so friendly. Parking was easy to find at noon on a Sunday. Lots of seats and not facing the road. Loved it!!“

“This is one of my favorite taco spots in Santa Ana. The tacos are soo good. Their salsas are delicious.

They have a nice assortment of drinks along with a nice selection of meats. Their meats are well cooked and seasoned so deliciously.

I can only eat chicken and am often disappointed with chicken tacos since they often lack flavor or are cooked poorly but this place is far from a disappointment. I love coming here time and time again.

There aren't any tables just chairs to sit at. You can also order your plate to go. You can also call to place your order in advance.“

“I wish I would have got the waitress's name. She was so nice and accommodating to me ,my wife, and our dog. She went above and beyond a couple of times during our lunch. My wife's dish was a little too spicy so we sent it back and they gave us another at no charge(minus the Chipotle sauce). The amazing part Was the sincere kindness of the waitress. Huge portions on the fries and the pizza was probably a average medium. I had the pork belly which was flavorful and delicious. I'm super picky on my pastor, so these weren't my favorite, though they were very good. The waffle fries were wonderfully crispy. My favorite was the pizza. It was crispy, flavorful, and freaking delicious. They're open until 11 pm and when we left there was a decent group of people waiting. The chef said that if there's a line they keep serving. Now, that's dedication. They also own the barber shop, so maybe check that out if you need a cut. I'll be back for sure. The food was on point and their customer service was fantastic. “It's a food cart stationed in front of the grand market. I had ordered chicken barito and the taste was good. The young boy spoke fluent English but the person making didn't but both of them were very present. I will do takeout again from them.“

“The tacos were good, I got the azteca taco that had cecina with the cactus, the asada and cabeza. The cabeza was soft, the asada was ok the cecina was pretty good along with the catcus. The salsas were also decent. It's in a market station so you can grab your own drinks and snacks too.

The staff was nice and helpful with the choices on the menu. The seating is outside with a couple of propped umbrellas which is nice during the hot days. Overall decent place.“
