“Ok so this is a review for a particular visit and not this location and establishment overall. The experience was significant enough for me to feel compelled to do this despite the understanding that this isn't the generally accepted and common usage of reviews. So, this temescal rd carls has been hit and miss over the last 20 years I've been visiting it. Mostly just ok with a relative slightly above average when comparing to other locations. With that being said I'm of the opinion that food serving establishments product has went down the tube's in comparison to that of 20+ years ago. This could be a not necessarily accurate "personal" perception issue or an accurate in reality across the board issue but that is here nor there. This reviews is to express my amazing almost time traveling threw taste and eating experience that I really have only come a slight inclination of experiencing before. I made my famous star"no cheese' combo with onion rings and cherry coke order on the app and proceeded to drive thru to pick up. When I got to the window I pardoned myself and asked the girl if she could possibly assure that my onion rings where cooked well because I had received undercooked ones on the last few visits. I was given my food and my stomach decided I would park and immediately eat my food. I do realize that this(my hunger and immediate consumption could) have a significant influence on my experience but with that said. It was great. I was a kid again devouring what at different times could be accurately described as my favorite fast food. The burger even looked the same as years gone by(with the exception of the split top bun which they adopted several years back) with all the condiments including mayo and ketchup-relish in the perfect proportions the onion rings where almost unrecognizable when compared to those recently encountered. Cooked perfect and if I didn't know better I would be suspicious of them being sliced from whole onions dipped and dregged in store. Anyways the whole experience was too good to not say(write) something. For the record I've had some not too great luck at this location once or twice and before this if you asked me about carls I'd respond with meh or what are my choices? But this experience has me very(hopefully not too) hopeful for the next time I find myself with them as a choice or option.“

“Service was ok as it took a couple of minutes to be greeted and our order taken. This was due to one employee working the front line and they were concentrating on the drive thru.
Ordered 2 Western Bacon Cheeseburgers and they were fresh and hot.

Unfortunately while were finishing up our meal a homeless person came into the restaurant and asked us for money, when we said no he left but came back 2 minutes later and sat at the table next to us and just started. I did not feel safe and got up and left.“

“Okay so let's start bad too good , in my opinion it does kinda take awhile too get your food and it is kinda pricey depending on what you get but if your gonna complain about the prices just don't buy it ! But the best thing is their chili cheese fries. its my favorite thing to get their ! And the workers are super duper polite . It's close too my house and that's why i go their a lot because it's the only close good food place near my home too walk too apart from albertos and little Ceasars, and when I feel down I can come here and get my favorite item and feel a bit better ! Recommend this place and thank you for whoever works their, your all awesome and hard workers keep up your good work ! I wanna work here when I'm older too“

“Same good food as many years ago! The service was great, very friendly! As far as atmosphere, this one is by a busy street, bot the restaurant's fault. I still love the catching A-Frame building that immediately let's you know it's DerWienerschnitzel. I love their chile fries, and Chicago hotdogs, and, of course, the chile dogs!“

I go here as often as I can, and I always bring a MOD newbie with me. I absolutely LOVE their pizza because it's fired in a brick oven. “The sandwich is very simple but it's done very well. The main sandwich is a fried chicken breast, pickles, and a buttered bun.

Now you can add cheese bacon lettuce tomato and they have wraps and salads. They have pretty good macaroni and cheese.

They have a salad that has fruit on it which is very delicious.

They have a very good breakfast selection. I used to love their sandwich that had a bagel a chicken breast and egg and cheese but they got rid of it. Now I usually get a chicken burrito.“

With California raising minimum wage to $20 an hour fast food has become too expensive unless there is a special promotion. Unfortunately I think the result will be fast food restaurants will begin to close locations as customer demand drops off due to increased prices.“

The only issue I had was that the menu posted online was not the same menu used in the restaurant. I'd decided on the sandwich that I wanted prior to my arrival, but when I got there the worker looked confused, and I was told they could not make it. Because there were people in line behind me waiting to order I had to make a quick, last minute sandwich choice.

My second choice was okay but, other than the super fresh bread, it was nothing that I haven't had before. Doggone it, I really wanted to try that other sandwich and left disappointed.“
