“I went to The Hat to celebrate my buddy Gene's 80th birthday. The Hat is one of his favorite eateries. The place is CLEAN, the service friendly and efficient and fast, and the atmosphere friendly. The place was packed for lunch. I enjoyed their Pastrami Dip and yummy onion rings (small order, which was AMPLE!). Gene enjoyed his Steak sandwich and crispy French fries. “amazing food, amazing service, amazing experience!! found this place looking for vegan options & decided to go based on the google reviews. even with the pre-notion that they had 4.9 stars, my expectations were far surpassed! i didn’t catch the name of the guy who took our order but he was lovely & had great energy. for being a completely vegan spot, my socks were knocked right off. best chicken burger i’ve ever had. even my dad who eats real meat was throughly impressed. would definitely go again. 10/10“

“My order was taken soon as I approached register. The employee who took my order was a manager I'm pretty sure. He was very cordial, and accommodating! He kept a close eye on his employees, and gave a bit of guidance here & there, with a smile!The employees all seemed very plesant,and focused which created a tip top work environment! The drive thru was moving. He brought our food out for us, as he did for the other customers! The food was very fresh, burgers juicy, fries crispy & hot! Store was clean, soda area clean, bathroom old, but clean. Even smelled clean!“

“Had a really good experience at this location compared to other Carl's . One employee Charlene Cardenas went above and beyond that I gotten everything I order correctly. She also kept the inside looking great and smelling good and clean . The extra time she took to make sure my child had a clean high chair was very thoughtful.“

“I had such an amazing experience here at the Waba Grill. The staff was so nice and so patient when I didn’t know what exactly I wanted. The cashier on 12/28 at 5:30 pm was so nice and helpful I hope at every waba grill I go to I meet someone like her. She is amazing and quick and has such a great attitude.“

“Y'all owe me a "I Love Weiners" hat. I went in a week or 2 ago when you were selling the hats, asked for a hat, and was told you were sold out. The very next day I saw an employee hand a hat to the car in front of me and when I asked for a hat, I was told they're cash only. Personally I think that's illegal to deny a form of legal payment but accept it for food just because a part # is no longer in your system. And they didn't even have a manager on the premises that day. The day after that I went in again and asked for a hat and was told they were sold out indefinitely. Wack. Plus your employees are always gatekeeping the simple sauces like ketchup. Who orders a hotdog and expects to not get ketchup with it. Food is a solid 10 out of 10. But man these past experiences make it an absolute headache to go there.“

Thank you for that. the place was fine - and the only reason I really get into all this so deeply is that I wonder: what did those people expect? If I was on the route again, I would go again. Would I make a 30+ min detour just to dine here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars): hell no. It's a burger place - one that was on the way when we wanted one - and it did it's job.
