“We stopped in here during our visit to San Diego. We were here over the Thanksgiving weekend. The place wasn't that busy. We got seated very quickly. We ordered the Steakhouse burgers which was very delicious and full of flavor. We also had several draft beers and a margarita. The drinks were very refreshing.
We enjoyed our visit and the staff were very nice and friendly, however the music was obnoxiously loud which shorted our visit.“

“We are from out of town and decided to stop by since it’s close to our rental. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is so good and the service is amazing. I ordered “To The Bitter End” that was created by our bartender, Janeli. That drink is fantastic and she (Janeli) took great care of us. My husband had been traveling all day and was so hungry. We are so glad we stopped in. Thank you so much!“

“JT’s is a neighborhood bar. You’ll mainly see locals and regulars here. They don’t have a drink menu so be prepared and know what you want.
Very casual place and they have karaoke on certain nights. You basically just seat yourself and make yourself comfortable.
The kitchen is closed on Mondays and open at 3pm on other days. Cash, Venmo and Zelle only. It’s operated by one chef called Beto’s Kitchen at JT’s.
We’ve been here many times. Wings take awhile so we call to place an order and come pick up.
We had Prime Rib Friday’s for $24 that comes with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Perfect seasoning but the piece of meat was very chewy. Loved that beer battered onion rings did not fall apart and maintained crispiness. Also got chicken nachos which were loaded and had fresh fried tortilla chips.
Parking is tight, either in front of 7-11 or in the back. They have an outdoor patio with a pool table and games as well as tvs.“

“A great place to get a drink or a snack before the theater. it's a bit expensive but that's what you should expect at Balboa Park. We arrived 45 minutes before the start of the play last Saturday and were delighted to discover they had created a heated patio where you could sip your drink.“

“Best hotel restaurant/bar I have visited in a while. Food was excellent, service is great. To-go orders are packaged perfectly and with lots of condiments and essentials. Definitely recommend, especially if you’re staying in the hotel. I ate there 3 times for dinner during my week at the hotel.“

“I met my Comic-Con friends for a late lunch before preview night. We had to sit outside, which was fine until the sun sank low enough to hit us right in the eyes! The food and beer was first rate. I highly recommend the poke nachos and fish and chips.“

“Place is fire. So many beers to choose from you don't even know where to start. I'd say ask the bartenders to pick your drinks for you. It's funner that way.“

“I stopped by late at night for a final pair of beers, and they really hooked it up. Rosemary, the bartender, is like the most wonderful grandma you could imagine, and I’ll definitely come back to see her next time I’m in town. We arrived very late on a Thursday, and they took great care of us. The place truly embodies everything you’d hope for from a genuine Irish pub!“

“Glad to find some Korean food in downtown San Diego. I’m visiting from out of town and was craving comfort food. Quite expensive for fishcake udon soup but it was good. I got the fried Mandu/gyoza because of a special. Usually I don’t buy dumplings when I eat out since they usually taste solid but never wow me. I was surprised I enjoyed them as much, of course the filling is good, but the texture stood out to me! It was so light and crispy - idk if it’s the skin or temperature they fried it but I looooved it. I just Wish they did not charge extra for kimchi, at least for the Korean dishes 😢 Service was good. Unsure if I’d come again for the traditional korean dishes, but I want to try the sushi and ofc get the dumplings. it was very clean and organized inside“

“Great selection of refrigerator beer, sours, hard seltzer, and slushy! Bartenders are beautiful, and friendly and provide great service. Venuen is divey, and small, a small back patio, music box, and pool table.... missing a star because almost zero parking. Food pops up with delicious varying menus at reasonable prices, nothing over $20!“
“When I worked there I would hoist the flag first thing every morning. In the evening the commander and I would retire the colors, fold them neatly and shake hands“
“Halloween night at this place was nothing short of amazing. My friend and I decided we wanted to go out, aiming to stay close to home and within walking distance. Surprisingly, despite living just a few blocks away for years, it was our first time visiting. Early in the night, we both wondered how we hadn’t discovered this spot sooner. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, while still fitting the vibe of a great dive bar, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
One of the highlights was Carol, our bartender for the night. She was fantastic—an absolute gem. Her attentiveness and dedication to making sure we had a great experience truly went above and beyond. Carol took the time to check on us frequently, making sure our drinks were perfect and that we had everything we needed. It was clear she genuinely cared about her patrons’ experiences, and her warm and friendly approach added so much to our night.
We couldn’t have asked for a better Halloween outing. The overall vibe, combined with Carol’s exceptional service, made it a memorable evening. We left wondering how this hidden gem had been right under our noses all these years and feeling excited to return. All in all, a great night was had, and we’re already planning our next visit.“

“Great little spot almost on the beach. We came and enjoyed some cocktails with a view! It was kind of cold outside so the big windows made it feel like we could still be enjoying the beach while staying warm. We did not eat so I cannot comment on their food but definitely come here and enjoy a drink or two.
I did knock off a star for service. Our hostess was great, very friendly but none of the servers were anything to write home about. Made us feel like a burden more than anything. Didn't check on us often until a younger guy bartender/server got there on shift change. He was a lot better. Didn't get his name but younger guy with a mustache, wore a hat.. I know that's so vague but it's all I've got. Thanks guy!“

“This place is exactly what you'd hope to find in the Gas Lamp Quarter. It's obvious that it has been a staple in this community for a VERY long time by the decor, clientele, and servers there.
You know when you've found a place like this because you're greeted with a smile, welcoming demeanor, and some strong pours for a reasonable price.
I went in for the first time in a few years. I was happy to stumble back on this place after originally finding it in 2018 on another business trip.
Tonight was specifically unique because The Zach Gutierrez Trio was playing live. Can't say enough good stuff about the music!
If you're looking for a place where you'll be welcomed with friendly and attentive staff, a laid back vibe, and occasional live music, you have to check this place out!
10/10 recommend!“
“SBTH is one of the best places in San Ysidro to get a good drink at a good price. I come here often for a drink or two and good from the fish place near by and some times from the market. The best part is that you can watch various PPV events, have a great drink and eat delicious food from the shops near by. Customer service is great and very friendly. Like any small shop expect longer queue times when they are busy but they will always take care of you.
Parking: If you come to SBTH while the near by shops are open you can get food from their but parking will be harder to find. Worst case scenario you can't park in front of SBTH so you will need to walk from either end of the parking lot to SBTH but this will take you a minute or less.“

“Great place to hang out with friends and listen to live music. Great selection of beers and cocktails. Lots of food and shareable items. I had the mango fish taco and loved it. Lots of great items on the menu. The nachos uses a nacho cheese rather than shredded cheese, so if you are into that, you will love it.“
