“What a great place!! We stumbled across this place when we were out to dinner. The staff is friendly and kind. The owner Deano does all the work with the awesome bands they host on the weekends. From Country to hard rock. We haven’t heard one band we haven’t loved. If your looking for a great bar with great music this is the place. Everyone is welcome in this bar. Great atmosphere and you can even order food and eat while while you listen to fantastic music or play pool and watch sports. This is a true fabulous neighborhood bar. Come And enjoy. “Every time we’ve gone, the food is good. They also have a good choice of craft beers on hand rotating. The service can be either really good or really bad. They have forgotten about us and left us waiting for a check for 40 minutes. I ordered a hamburger with two slices of cheese, when they served it the hamburger only had one slice. I asked the waitress if she could just take it back and add another slice of cheese. I am more than happy to pay for it. She blew a huffing sound, shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes and said whatever and walked away with the plate. When she brought it back, she sat the plate down and said, “Do you have enough cheese now”. My wife and I have actually enjoyed going to this place, but that waitress has turned me off for a while for sure.“

“Cool spot right off fairmount. Variety of drinks on tap and a kitchen inside if you’re hungry.
Pool outside was free which was awesome, worth checking if you’re on a trolley bar crawl, as it’s a 5 minute walk from the station.“

“Place is fire. So many beers to choose from you don't even know where to start. I'd say ask the bartenders to pick your drinks for you. It's funner that way.“

“I stopped by Lady Carolyn's Pub in Balboa Park and it’s a nice little place to grab a drink or quick bite before a show at the nearby Old Globe Theatre. The setting is pleasant, with outdoor seating and a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying the park surroundings.
I had a beer and a light snack, and while the menu is fairly simple—mostly sandwiches, soups, and drinks—it does the job if you want something quick before heading to a performance. The prices are reasonable for such a popular location, and the vibe feels casual and convenient.
Overall, it’s not a full dining experience, but it’s a convenient and comfortable stop if you’re exploring Balboa Park or catching a show at the theater.“

“If you want a spot to watch a Philly game, this is very clearly the place to be in San Diego. I've watched Birds, Flyers, and Phillies games here. It's absolutely packed for Eagles games, with the crowd spread between two indoor spaces and a large outdoor area. IMO, the IPA choices here have been comparatively weak when San Diego has so many great IPAs to offer, especially at both nearby North Park and Pure Project, but there is a decent selection of other styles. However, the pretzel is the real selling point. Whether on its own or as the bread of a sandwich (the Spicy Turkey was recommended to me and it is quite delicious!), the soft pretzels are the real deal. I saw lots of people coming in just to eat, and I can't blame them.“

“Been going to Kelly's for a few years now and mad a few friends here. The ladies behind the bar are all friendly, gorgeous and good people. I never have an empty glass when at Kelly's and prices are affordable.
Kelly's has fresh popcorn but doesn't serve food. There is a Mexican Take-out next door though if you get hungry.

“I stopped by late at night for a final pair of beers, and they really hooked it up. Rosemary, the bartender, is like the most wonderful grandma you could imagine, and I’ll definitely come back to see her next time I’m in town. We arrived very late on a Thursday, and they took great care of us. The place truly embodies everything you’d hope for from a genuine Irish pub!“

“Great pizza. This is a family friendly restaurant that has a bar. Kids can sit on the street facing patio. The staff are attentive and refilled our fountain drinks before they were empty. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is casual. The place draws a crowds throughout the day but more in the evening.“

“This place breaks my heart. Across the street from the park in downtown El Cajon, there is this inviting place. I love the huge outdoor patio with live music, the cafe seating out front and the indoor restaurant and bar. So much potential that promises more than they can deliver. Stars for having great bands outdoors and pretty good food, but every time I go, me and my friends are commenting about how understaffed they are, which of course creates tension amongst the staff (kind of a downer to hear it thoug), but who wants a bitter bartender telling you they can't accommodate a simple request, don't have the beer you want, while you can see it in their cooler, and they don't have change for $100 (on a large food and drink tab) or a food server who is obviously so stressed that we hesitate to order more...hint to the management, if you support your staff, they'll be able to create more sales.
No, they're not that busy, they are just that understaffed, and apparently under supported.“
