“I’m a sandwich (and Italian hoagie) aficionado, constantly seeking out the best. I actually have an entire category of sandwich shops and deli’s saved on my phone. I will drive (or more likely ride my motorcycle 2+ hours just to try a new place.

Take it from me: Lucia’s is a rare gem. Five stars. Terrific bread, thinly sliced meats and cheese, fresh produce, homemade spread: they had it all.

And LOTS of it. I knew as soon as I picked up the bag: huge, loaded sandwich. I couldn’t get my mouth wide enough to get the whole thing at once. Then, I could only eat half. I brought the other half home and my wife could only eat half of that half. I enjoyed the rest the next day.

I should’ve taken a picture but was too busy devouring the thing. I will definitely be back, and I will remember to take a picture then. It’s as good an excuse as any for a return visit. See you there.”

“Excellent spot in Crockett from the crew that did Lucia's Craft Sandwich. I've tried their brunch and dinner, and both times had excellent service and food. They also have a nice local wine and beer selection. Note that the seating is generally communal, but even if that's not your vibe, don't let that deter you.”

“I didn't have any food, so I went here on a Friday night to meet a friend. I had never been to cricket before and now I wanna go back. This bar Toots is a big part of why I wanna go back, it's an amazingly cool dive bar with a back room stage for live music. Last night when I went it was a punk rock band and they were really good. The crowd as you might imagine was colorful and surprisingly diverse. The bar keep was friendly and on it so my drink was never empty, they had a really good porter on tap and it was always filled completely to the rim where you have to sip the top down just to pick it up. I wish I had stayed longer to see how the scene goes, my feeling is it's a great place to hangout on a Friday night, and if you happen to get bored there's like another bar a block or so away you can go between. I saw several small groups of peeps just hanging out together up n down the main drag. Parking might be an issue so either go early or Uber. I loved it!”

“Lovely place! I got the strawberry slushie with strawberry popping boba , AMAZING. Best boba ive ever had , and the service was eady , fast , and super friendly! With take out for the boba they also have these amazingly convenient little holders for the cups! Perfect for take out, lovely dine in, the place is nice and lively!”

“If you have the chance to eat here, DO IT! Wish I could give it extra stars!! Amazing, delicious, authentic food. Super sweet mom running it with her two kiddos there. We came with our two year old so it was really nice to be in a kid friendly place. She made sure to bring out his food and drink as quick as possible to keep him happy which we massively appreciate 🙌 She said there was going to be a little wait, except the food came out faster than anywhere else we’ve eaten in town haha. We got the chicken wings, grilled pork bahn mi, pho, coconut prawns, a strawberry smoothie and a coconut smoothie. Everything was delicious, especially the wings. We unfortunately live in Calistoga so we can’t be regulars here but if we could, we would! Support your local restaurants working hard over greedy corporations any day!”

“Totally worth the drive to fish and see Barbara when they open for lunch.. Barbara is totally awesome. Cash only don't worry. There is ATM in the back. Large food and alcohol selection. We had no problems finding a seat on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of amazing outside seating looking at the lake. Side note my friend comes here occasionally and fishes on the straight. He took me here today and we almost caught a Sturgeon together.”

“Went here a couple of times, coffee shop is located inside a beautiful historic building. I got a matcha latte and it was overly sweet for my taste and the pastries were definitely not made same-day, but it's one of the only coffee shops in the area — would still suggest a visit for the vibes, and maybe try their specialty coffee drinks!! Located super close to Touro University, good for studying or getting work done.”

“Excelente servicio y por supuesto la comida es verdaderamente deliciosa viajamos por una hr de San Francisco a Vallejo pero valió la pena el marisco es muy fresco y riquísimo todooooo!! los platillos mexicanos como el Molcajete es muy rico. Al principio ellos ponen chips crujientes frescos y salsa en tu mesa y tienen una barra de diferentes salsas las cuales puedes disfrutar con tus chips, el ambiente te hace sentir como en casa ellos son muy amables y al final te llevan unos ricos churros con crema de cortesía. Volveríamos una y muchas veces más a este lugar.”

“Heck ya!! What a fabulous dining experience! It’s a cozy restaurant in downtown Martinez. Definitely recommend making reservation as this place can be super packed esp. during live music hours. Everything we ordered, from their daily specials, to locally sourced ingredients give you a farm to table kind of dining venture. The house cocktails are refreshing-ly good. If you have a sweet tooth, their in-house desserts to finish off your meal-perfect amount of sweetness! Can’t wait to be back for more!”

“I had the pleasure of dining at Home Thai Cafe recently, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Thai spots I’ve visited! The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered a variety of dishes: the Pumpkin Curry with Chicken, which was rich and comforting, the Hawaiian Pineapple Fried Rice, bursting with fresh flavors, the Fried Fish Curry, and the Crispy Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli—everything was spot on. The flavors were authentic, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional, too. The server, who I believe was the owner, was incredibly sweet and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the meal. It’s clear that they put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated. We happened to visit during Halloween, and the seasonal decorations added such a fun touch to the ambiance. The overall vibe of the place was cozy yet vibrant.

“I recently visited Juice Breeze in El Sobrante, California and it’s easily one of the best spots in the Bay Area for fresh smoothies, açai bowls, and unique desserts. From the moment you walk in, the place feels inviting, clean, and full of options that are both refreshing and delicious.

We started with their lemon mint smoothie, which was light, fresh, and perfect for the California weather. The flavors were balanced and it really hit the spot.
