At first, I was a little intimidated because there’s lots of options on the menu, but the staff is friendly and willing to help answer any questions you have. We come here at least one a month, more times if we have family coming in from out of town as it’s a great spot to to take them that I know will be different than they have in their home town. This place is my go to for great food, awesome service and a fun atmosphere. It is also my go to if I have a larger party. Anytime I have come here with a party of 6,8 or even 10 people, the host doesn’t even bat an eye and space is found for us. I love the ability to get great Korean comfort food along with the best yakatori. We love the vibe, the people and the food here. Thank you Sojuya! It is always a treat to come.“

“Came here for the halloween theme —since we were finally able to get a reservation in! First, I personally am very picky with my alcoholic drinks and this place made one of the BEST drinks I’ve ever had. I ordered the pumpkin punch, which I thought was going to be sweet but it was so uniquely sweet without being overpowering. I would recommend this to EVERYONE. Not only were the drinks immaculate but I absolutely loved the vibe & theme they had going for October. Great photo op, vibes, & drinks. If you can land a reservation, definitely check this cute place out.“

“I only come here during the daily, karaoke nights and, soon, maybe you will too. Shanghai’d Room is a divebar thru and thru. But I can count on one hand how many bars I’ve been to where I felt welcomed on my first night. And this is the ONLY bar I ever made friends.

There’s usually one or two bartenders being very attentive — making sure glasses are full, singers are purchasing drinks, and new faces get a turn on the mic. each of them has their own charismatic charm and seductive appeal. I can’t help but call out MeowMeow as my fav tho because you cant help but get drawn to her personality (plus the music/mic balance is always on point all night). She was there my first night and the energy in the room was electric.

This is the only karaoke bar where you don’t have the pressure of singing in front of the crowd on stage because there isn’t one. If you’ve ever been in a private karaoke room with friends it’s like that but with 20+ people and ur own bar LOL. If ur flyin solo and like to sing with libations in hand: check em out, sing a song, compliment ur fav singers, and soon you’ll be makin plans to comeback and meetup.

Few tips and house rules to emphasize: no food served so you can byof, only one M & one F restroom, only patrons sing so if you don’t drink buy one for someone else (lol), try the WATER OF LIFE, respect every singer and ask them for permission before you grab the second mic, and FTLoveOG don’t pick multiple songs back to back. Even when a group changes singers with duets, singing 4+ songs looks like ur group is hogging the mic. Lets spread the love and elevate the vibes.“

Also, all the finger foods are amazing and I’m able take home to indulge during my movie nights at home. One last thing - Amanda the bartender is one of my favs she’s so nice and even with a full bar she makes you feel like you’re the only one there giving you all the attention.“

“The girlfriend and I just moved here and checked this place out as it was close to home and had great reviews.

I had the smash burger and she had the chicken sandwich; both were delicious and the fact that they offer sweet potato fries is a plus. Extra points for the ranch, which was some of the best I’ve had and I never have ranch with anything.

Bartender didn’t have what I wanted but suggested an alternative and we both liked it.

“Love neighborhood bars, and this one was no exception. I did not rate the food because we didn’t eat and I’m not sure if they have food or not. The drinks were great, the bar is lively and there was a DJ. Super fun vibes and great crowd. Reminds me of the pre Covid days. Everyone was friendly and talkative, buying drinks for each other with no drama. I went here on a whim with my friend after the Beyond the Grave pop up bar. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but places like this are my favorite. I will definitely be back! The bartender made a perfect Midori sour, which is actually one of those cocktails that seems easy to make, but can be easily unbalanced. Definitely some pool sharks which made for a good viewing“

“The only really good “bar” in Anaheim. We were here with family for a week and this bar was my best find. Very cold pints of beer, clean lines and some premium tequila on their back bar. Didn’t play any of their pool tables but loved the bar and the bartender who was very welcoming. Everything was spotless despite being a dive bar.“
