“Me and family went there recently after a long hot day and the place had a long line, a young man by the name of Sam if I recall it correctly, was at the time by himself and even though the long line, he was treating everyone with respect and close attention.
The ice cream is great, don’t get me wrong, but the manners that this young man has is what will bring me and my family back many more times.“

“While I love Mitchell’s and their ice cream is my absolute favorite in the city, I especially appreciate how friendly and patient the counter staff is, despite being thronged by crowds and repeated questions. They let you take your time, give out samples and will serve you with a smile. They have a ticketing system that works pretty well, expect a wait if you’re there at peak times over the weekend, but also expect to always walk away ecstatic.“

“I'm hesitant to tell you how good the buckwheat financiers are, because they will likely sell out even faster, but they are remarkably good.

There's a reason there is almost always a line outside the door here. Great treats and coffee, along with quick, friendly service.

Tina, the owner is amazing at what she does and puts much so effort into her work. I can’t pinpoint a specific dessert because they can whip up just about anything. My favorite in particular is Tina’s delicious red velvet cupcakes. The treats are tasty and made with love. More than that, Tina provides superior customer service. Tina’s staff at the UC Berkeley location is always going above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect and with a smile. “This place is a hole in the wall. We ordered a slice of the following: matcha slice cake, tiramisu slice cake and black sesame slice cake. Omg. Their slice cake is a bit expensive but it so worth it. My favorite is the black sesame cake. My sister in law was the matcha cake. We had to order a cake for a birthday so guess what we ordered?“

“You definitely need to know what order here:
Egg tarts and BBQ pork buns are made fresh in the morning and honestly quite the hidden gem here. I'm an egg tart connoisseur, and for a hole in the wall in the Mission, it actually is one of the better egg tarts in SF, in fact, the peninsula. (Try to buy them earlier in the day though).

Many of the other items are a gamble though; many of the cakes don't seem fresh. It's probably best to ask the employees when each thing was baked.“

“Highly recommended bakery! Everything here is outstanding. The cannoli I consider the finest in the city and the cream puffs are the best (and biggest) I've ever had.
Also very good are their cakes, which are sold whole or in slices. If you buy a whole cake they'll offer to write on it if you'd like.
They make special baked goods for notable holidays, such as St. Honore's Cake, Casata de Santa Agatha, and Pannetone, but I've unfortunately been unable to try these yet, save for the pannetone.
In addition, they also have a vast selection of cookies available.
When you've made your selection, all your baked goods will be neatly boxed and wrapped in string by their vintage box wrapper machine. 5/5 stars.“
