“Me and family went there recently after a long hot day and the place had a long line, a young man by the name of Sam if I recall it correctly, was at the time by himself and even though the long line, he was treating everyone with respect and close attention.
The ice cream is great, don’t get me wrong, but the manners that this young man has is what will bring me and my family back many more times.“

“After another local bakery redesigned our family favorite, I found Black Jet based on locals' recommendations on a message board. Their funfetti cake is the best and got so many compliments from grown up guests at our daughter's birthday party.

I also love their sourdough. We've found our family's new go-to cake place. I can't wait to go back in the meantime.“

“You definitely need to know what order here:
Egg tarts and BBQ pork buns are made fresh in the morning and honestly quite the hidden gem here. I'm an egg tart connoisseur, and for a hole in the wall in the Mission, it actually is one of the better egg tarts in SF, in fact, the peninsula. (Try to buy them earlier in the day though).

Many of the other items are a gamble though; many of the cakes don't seem fresh. It's probably best to ask the employees when each thing was baked.“

“Dianda's Italian American Pastry was exactly what I needed to keep my morning going. Located in a Hispanic area, with a classic old-school bakery feel, pastries filling the display cases and that amazing smell hitting the second I walked through the door. This place was incredible and the staff were super nice and gave us a bunch of recommendations, which definitely helped.

I ended up going with the Almond Coppini, this tiny little pastry dusted with powdered sugar and topped with almonds. It didn't look like much at first, but that first bite was so soft and delicate. The texture was slightly chewy with a nice nutty bite, and the flavor had this warm sweetness of cinnamon, at least that's what I picked up. There was also that almond flavor coming through, with a little vanilla in the background that made it taste even richer.

The powdered sugar added just enough sweetness without taking over. It was small, but every bite had that soft, nutty, slightly spiced flavor that made me want another one almost immediately.“

Tina, the owner is amazing at what she does and puts much so effort into her work. I can’t pinpoint a specific dessert because they can whip up just about anything. My favorite in particular is Tina’s delicious red velvet cupcakes. The treats are tasty and made with love. More than that, Tina provides superior customer service. Tina’s staff at the UC Berkeley location is always going above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect and with a smile. “The perfect choice for our wedding dessert! Stevie helped plan our event and was so great to work with. For our cake cutting, we decided to have a small ice cream cake, which was so cute and very delicious! We decided to serve both sundaes and bars so our guests could customize their sundae flavor and toppings or grab a bar quickly and get back on the dance floor. The ice cream was a huge hit!
