“What an underrated spot. I'm surprised SF Chronicle and Infatuation haven't really picked up on this spot yet. This place deserves to have lines out the door.As recommended by the head chef, I got the pan con chicharron sandwich with yucca fries with a drink. It gets messy, but the sandwich over delivers. It's the perfect balance of meaty and crispy, without being greasy.Yucca fries are super fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.Sandwiches aren't unreasonably priced. At around 15-16 dollars per sandwich, it's cheaper than other hyped sandwiches in SF. Sure, with fries it hits $20+, but the fries are way better than some bag of chips you'll get elsewhere.Pleaaaase try the chicharonne sando!“
“The meals was just delicious. Wouldn’t have it no other way.Vegetarian options: Just read the menuDietary restrictions: OptionalParking: First spot grab it are just park in the parking lot across the streetKid-friendliness: Just amazingWheelchair accessibility: Yes and very helpful“
“La Fusión was an amazing find by one of colleagues. This was suggested as a team outing since we finally have a full team now! They opened around 11:30, but to our surprise there was no line and no one at the restaurant at all. We were seated and greeted immediately by the manager and staff there. This is close by to Sajj Mediterranean! This is a smaller restaurant, but there are plenty of tables and chairs at the bar to enjoy everything. Everyone was super nice and friendly, and they made sure to go over the menu with us, as well as any specials they had.Water was being brought to our table before we ordered anything. I ended up getting the como saltado and that was $34. My team also ended up getting one of each empanada to share among us. Everyone else got the same item, or the rotisserie chicken. The como saltado was delicious! It was made fresh to order and I absolutely loved the flavors of this dish. You got chunks of tender, juicy beef with refreshing chunks of tomato and French fries! I typically have a love hate relationship with tomato's, but I ate everything UP. This does come with a bed of rice which was cooked perfectly. The only empanada I got to try was the seafood one. That one as delicious and I loved the outer shell, which was super crispy. Definitely a great starter to our meal. I'm not too sure how much we paid since our supervisor paid for our meal, but this is definitely on the list to come back again! Very pleased with our experience, the service, and how warm + inviting everyone is.“
“Place totally exceeded expectations. Peruvian classics with killer sazon, standout dishes were the Vaca Frita and Lomo Mar y Tierra. The ceviches and wings were also both very nicely executed. Pretty good portions at overall reasonable price point. The place is set up with a DJ/live band for dancing on weekends, is a good option for salsa/bachata but the ambience can vary depending on the night. Definitely recommend this gem hidden in plain sight!“
“Very nice rooftop bar. The ambience is very successful. Unfortunately, two cocktails that we wanted to order were no longer in stock, so we unfortunately had to switch to others. But the nice waiter made up for it with his friendliness. A beautiful evening with a great view of the skyline.“
“So I can’t say enough good things about this place. First I have been to Peru 4 times in the last 2 years and once you go you will forever be searching for those flavors once you get back to the States…The food is amazing the Lomo Saltado is a must have!!! it is as close to Peru as I can get. The ceviche is super good and fresh, My favorite is ceviche carretillero, it’s not your topical Mexicali ceviche trust me it’s worth trying!!! And there deserts are incredible!! Peruvian food all revolves around the sauces and they know what they are doing with the sauces. I am very fortunate that we live 2 blocks away, but what makes me wanting to always come back is Manny “ the owner” I have only meet home once but have seen him every time I am in there and you would think we have known him for years always comes up and says hello and is so nice and even crazier this is his second Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco!!! When most people are closing there restaurants he is opening more places!! I will stay coming back supporting my local Peruvian restaurant and I know Manny will be there to welcome me and my “Peruvian” girlfriend back!!!Parking: There is a parking garage right above the restaurant perfect safe parking!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible!!! Plenty of room“
“Heard about this new place on IG and knew I had to give it a try. Peruvian food is one of my top 3 so I was so excited. The restaurant is located on the industrial side of Cesar Chavez, right off 280. There aren't any other restaurants or bars nearby. Plenty of parking during dinner on a weeknight. The ambiance is causal and spacious. All the staff were attentive and very nice. Even the chef came out to ask us how our dinner was and thanked us for stopping by. All the flavors are there and each dish was really pretty. My favorite had to be the tallarines verdes. We ordered them as a side dish which isn't an option on the menu, but the chef accommodated us. Only thing I wish was that they had more wine options. But I'm sure that'll improve with time. Here's what we ordered: Lomo Saltado with Filet Mignon-10/10 Bistec a Lo Pobre-8/10 (wish my egg was a little more runny but still soooo good, could have done without the fries) Tallarines Verdes-10/10 Pisco Sour-9/10 It wasn't very busy which is expected being that it's fairly new. I really hope more people hear about this place because the food is solid! Excited to try more from their menu.“
“My Father and I enjoyed eating here all the time together. He's in heaven now, I miss coming here, so I've decided it's time to come back, enjoy a meal, and remember my Father by eating a delicious Ceviche. Muchas Gracias, I love you Papi.??“
“Great service, friendly staff, DELICIOUS food! First time at Mixto and it did not disappoint. We went there for dinner and ordered ceviche mixto, birria taco’s and arroz con mariscos. The portions are very generous (two people couldn’t finish a starter, ceviche and a main, took some of it home) and everything is freshly made which makes them very flexible when it comes to food restrictions. I like the dim lighting because it made the dinner feel like date night on a Wednesday. Also, it is located in a quiet neighborhood which gives so much privacy and the time to properly enjoy your food without rushing to empty the table. Will visit them for brunch next time??“
“We ordered ~20 lunches from Lima Peruvian Food Catering today, and WOW, the food was all COMPLETELY DELICIOUS. I mean, unforgettably good. WOW!!! Everyone had fun with the delicious, fun choices and all the meals were scrumptious. The lovely man who delivered the food was so sweet and helpful, and I hope you take my advice and use this company!! :)“
“The ceviche here is truly top notch. I've tried so many places around the Bay and so many have been overpriced and didn't taste as good as this place. Portions are also generous. Wouldn't come here for a fancy date but def for casual eating. Service is nice and friendly.“
“The food is amazing! We got the Ceviche Limeño de Tuna as our appetizer. It was delicious, a beautiful lemony tang. One of the best tiger milks I’ve had in the USA.As our main entre we had La Gran Jalea and Lomo Saltado. It is a huge portion and would recommend as a family dish. You can share with +4 people it’s a grand portion. All the seafood that comes in the dish is fried and crispy. The sauces are everything, but do not miss out on the salad that comes with the dish! It compliments the fried food well! The lomo saltado was so tender and juicy. The vegetables and fries keep their integrity which is sometimes hard to do with Lomo Saltado. Highly recommend! The service was also swift and attentive. The ambiance is lively with great Latin hits. I’d recommend for a girls night out to get the vibes started.“
“This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Potrero. It is quite pricey but the food is DIVINE, all my compliment to the chef(s). The best starter dish is the tequenos (so good!!) abs my favorite mains are the tuna and salmon dishes. Their cocktails and mocktail are excellent, and the servers are all very friendly. I've also discovered their brunch and fallen in love. Such a great restaurant, I will always come here to treat myself or treat out of town visitors.“
“This was our first time at Piqueo's. They have a nice range of small plate. We had the salad, pescado ceviche, quesadilla de pato, scallops, and mushroom empanadas, as well as lime margaritas. We enjoyed everything. Some particular standouts were the potatoes served with ht scallops, the duck in the quesadilla, and the crust of the empanada that was crisper and lighter than traditional empanadas. We did find that we prefer traditional margaritas to those served here that use sake infused tequila.“
“I made a reservation and visited at 6pm. We sat on the terrace, close to the sea, and had a great atmosphere. It was a chilly day, but the stove was very warm and very comfortable. I want a seaside restaurant like this in Tokyo too.All the food was delicious in general.“
“Hard to find with only a small sign in the window. It is located in a coffee bar. The food was good. Order at the counter and food is brought to table. I went with 3 friends and we enjoyed our shared meal. Minus one star because I was overcharged and not given the happy hour price for the item I ordered.“
“The food was very tasty and the portion sizes aren't too small! I hear it gets busy for dinner, but it wasn't too busy at lunchtime. We got:Tacos Birria- Absolutely to die for. The braised meat was so tender and juicyPupusas- Very good, not too greasy, and the pickled veggies were fresh and crunchyFried plantains- cooked well, not too greasy or soggy“
“We loved the fish ceviche and the lomo saltado the best, but all the food was very good. Our server (young lady with blond hair) was super nice, made us feel welcome since we first came in, we sat outside since we had our precious dog with us, she kept checking in with us to make sure everything was good all the time. Great customer service, food quality and price. Will be definitely coming back when we are back in Pacifica.“
“I would highly recommend this restaurant. Jenny the owner was so accommodating to my family. The restaurant was closed on Mondays and they allowed us to have a memorial luncheon to celebrate the life of my Mom who was Peruvian and passed away in December. The menu that we selected was food that my Mom had prepared many times over the years for a family. All who attended the luncheon could not stopped talking about the food and excellent service. You can't go wrong with ordering their Pisco Sours, empanadas and cerviche, just to name a few of the delicious plates.“
“We ordered the causa de pollo, it was very good, the fried yuca, it was very tasty, but it was a tiny portion. It's the reason why I am giving it 4 stars. Yuca is not expensive, the portion should be double the size! The huancaina sauce was amazing! The lomo saltado was maybe the best I have had in San Francisco. And it was a huge amount. Strange how some dishes are such a small portion and others are so generous. I totally recommend the place, other than some dishes really having minuscule portion sizes. Please fix this so I can give you five stars!“
“Five stars all around for this hidden gem! What a delightful evening with a surprisingly delicious fusion of Japanese and Peruvian food! If you’re looking for something different and delicious Kaiyo Cow Hollow should be at the top of your list! Our son said order some fries (even though we were full already) so I asked why and he said because I KNOW the sauce is going to be amazing! And he was right! It’s a quaint small space so I definitely recommend making reservations. Can’t wait to come back again! Looking forward to visiting Kaiyo Rooftop as well!“
“A wide selection of somewhat non traditional Peruvian food here.We got the ceviche and the rotisserie chicken since that’s what seemed to be the most famous here. The ceviche limon, the namesake dish, was served in a large bowl with such a wide range of seafood - it was interesting to have both calamari and fried calamari on the same plate. I liked the flavors, the seafood all tasted great, it just didn’t resemble authentic ceviche or other ceviche I’ve had before. The rotisserie chicken with two sides was a really healthy order, which was great. The chicken was somewhat unexpectedly a bit dry, you could tell that you had to use all of the mustard sauce that was served with it for the chicken. The yuca fries had an awesome texture though, perfectly crispy.I don’t think I’d recommend the rotisserie chicken though, I think going with other menu items (seafood) is probably a tastier bet.“
“They offer a great escaveche mixto sampler that is always a must try. The combination paella plater , chanchito de la abla and the empanada sampler are more than enough to fill your palette with joy. Don't forget about dessert. The tres Leches, chocolate lava cake and cup coffee will send you over the top. Great place and superb service .Kid-friendliness: They cater to the young customers.Wheelchair accessibility: Enough room to accommodate.“
“Very good place, I just went for the first time and I think I will return, the lomo saltado was very good, the drinks were very good, I am Central American but I like Peruvian food, obviously with good company from a pretty Peruvian woman??“
“Wow!!! Yes!!!!Ok so at first I looked at the menu and saw it was a bit on the pricey side and said ok I’m never coming here too expensive, but then I said ok well I’ll give this place a try…… and now I have to come here 1-2x a week it’s so good!I’ve been to all Mexican restaurants in Pacifica but this one blows them out of the water with their fresh, high quality ingredients. You know you’re paying for good quality food. The food quality is incredible, healthy, and makes for an excellent second meal the next day.I come all the way from SF craving this place!!You can tell the food is clean and healthy because you feel amazing after eating it! Chips and salsa always made fresh and salsas are amazing!People are amazing! A++!!!!“
“Mauricio was our server and he was EXTREMELY attentive ! The food was amazing and the service was just as good ! We went to celebrate my brothers birthday and they sang happy birthday to him and made him feel so special ! Will definitely be returning “
“This is one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants, and it has the best selection of chinese-peruvian food in the area! Everything I tried was fantastic. I went a few years ago for dine-in, and tried takeout this week and it's just as good as ever!“
“We stayed at the Pacific Beach hotel and this is their restaurant attached to it. We liked the reviews, the Peruvian food, and the fact that it had ocean views, so we tried it. The food was exceptional! There are so many options and if we came here again we would try all new stuff because I don't think we'd be disappointed. The service was just ok, and I guess we should have made reservations to get better ocean view seating.“
“This is more of a to-go place than a nice restaurant to eat at. But their food is high quality!! It's my go-to spot for salchipapas, they've got the best ones I've ever had. And their empanadas and alfajores are excellent as well!!!“
