“We came to Coastal Kitchen at Dillon Beach Resort to celebrate my mom Angela’s birthday, and everything about the experience was outstanding: warm service, delicious food, and one of the most beautiful coastal settings anywhere.

But what really made the visit unforgettable happened after the meal. My motorcycle ran out of fuel, and the team went far beyond what anyone would expect to help us. First the restaurant staff jumped in, then the gift shop team, then the maintenance crew. Together, they found an old hose, helped us fashion a siphon, and got us back on the road. They genuinely cared, and they stayed with us until we solved the problem.

As the owner of Angela’s Organic Ice Cream and Iggy’s Burger, hospitality is something I think about every day. My name is Iggy, and together with my mom Angela, we’re Sonoma and Petaluma locals. We know great hospitality when we experience it, and what we received at Coastal Kitchen was exactly the kind of service we strive to deliver ourselves—treating guests like family.

“Terrapin Creek is a first class dining experience! The food is outstanding, the ambiance warm & friendly and the service is exceptional. “We had visited The Marshall Store before as a quick road trip pit stop and absolutely loved it—it’s no surprise the New York Times named it one of the top 50 restaurants in the US! We loved it so much that this time around, we made a special trip up from SF just to have lunch here.

The good news: the Rockefeller and Kilpatrick grilled oysters were just as incredible as we remembered. I highly recommend ordering both! The downside was that they were running a limited menu on the day we visited (a Wednesday), and they are currently not serving alcohol.

Since the menu was limited, we branched out and tried the crab sandwich and the campechana (shrimp and octopus cocktail). The crab sandwich was solid, but the campechana missed the mark for me. It came served in a sealed plastic container, which made it feel like it was store-bought, and the seafood was a bit too chewy for my liking.

Despite the hiccups, I'm still giving them 5 stars. I know firsthand how amazing this place can be, and it's on me for not checking their weekday menu changes in advance. We will definitely be back—probably on a weekend next time”

“I didn't get a picture but let me tell you, my coffee was delicious! I am very basic. I am not hip to all the coffees lingo. The girls there were patient with me and asked all the right questions to help me place my order and it was hands down absolutely delicious! I literally talked about it all day! I wanted an iced white mocha with almond milk and hazelnut syrup and they delivered! I would definitely recommend and will be going back!”

“We stopped here for a little break on our trip back home to Canada and to grab some lunch! We enjoyed our sandwiches. They were definitely filling. We had the turkey sandwhiches and rly liked that it was real turkey as opposed to deli meat. The green sauce on it was different....Miracle whip/mustard may have been better...although they were still really yummy! We had some dessert as well. I had a lemon merigue tart that was delicious! ⅚ț”

“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.”

“Very great experience. My cousin and I tried the Hot Mama, I think it was called, a mushroom mocha. It was delicious and we enjoyed sitting in the garden on a lovely October day. The woman who helped us was really nice!”

“I saw a post with pic of snickers cupcake and couldn’t stop thinking about them. Contacted Lana and ordered. Yum! Yum! Yum!! Moist chocolate cupcake with a light peanut butter frosting, drizzled with caramel then topped with bites of snickers! Even better than I thought they would be - thank you Lana! “Amazing visit with Andy, comprehensive about the biodynamic and all the thoughts put into the farming and reaching the regenerating threshold as close as possible.

As far as the wines are concerned, I had 6 + 1 2019 from the Library. The differences in profile and taste were striking and with such a beautiful view and setting, it is impossible not to like the wines.

Personnally the Wendling Block E Pinot Noir pleased me the best but Charles Heitz vineyard was a damm fine wine as well !

“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.”
