“The service was like any place. Some were superstars, and others couldn't be bothered. But the superstars won! The Fish and fries were incredible - best fries I've had in a long time. It's situated in a very rural area, but the drive is worth it. The building is right on (next to) the water and place is nice.”
“We were celebrating my partner's 84th birthday so we wanted a special experience and Terapin Creek was the perfect choice. I had the seafood stew and my partner had the steak - both were fabulous. The service was excellent. Our waiter explained things very well and was very kind. We sat in the alcove (enclosed porch) which was perfect because my partner is sensitive to noise. The candle on our dessert order was a very nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience!”
“We have been coming here for years & raved about this spot to everyone we knew. Sadly, I know they've had to make changes recently. As a small business owner, I get it. But dang...I do GREATLY MISS shucking your own oysters, being able to bring your own items for a picnic, & being able to reserve a BBQ to use. Now, it just feels pricey - I'd rather sit inside (somewhere warm) & enjoy fresh oysters nearby. Yet, they deserve mad respect, gorgeous location & product :)”
“Extraordinary bread! The Egyptian Sweet Bread was beyond what I expected. I wish I bought more to take home, I ate the whole bread on my way home haha. Mind you, I live 2 hours away. I would definitely drive 2 hours just to come here. Thank you for the yummy bread!”
“Some of the best coffee cake I’ve ever had. Clearly fresh made, tangy, not to sweet, and perfectly spiced and filling. Coffee was good too! The woman working was very nice and efficient. Would recommend if you’re in Bodega Bay!”
“The oysters are fantastic - we had the Chorizo, Kilpatrick and Raw. As was the bread that came with them and the fish tacos. The smoked trout salad and pulled pork sandwich were ok. Wouldn’t recommend compared with the oysters.Beautiful location and view - especially on a nice day!”
“The pizza was delicious!! We were a little confused about how to order, but figured it out. It's a walk-up counter and you order at the window. We were there on a Thursday, so could only order slices of pizza, but the slices are very generous. We also got a fresh loaf of sour dough bread, meatballs, and pasta salad. The food was all so good! We ordered glasses of wine while we waited the 10-15 minutes for our order. Cute spot in downtown Tomales.”
“You order from a kiosk or at the inside counter. We ordered from the kiosk outside. We ordered fish tacos, garlic butter oysters, clam chowder and kids grilled cheese with 3 drinks. Flavor was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. We opted to eat on the picnic tables right next to the beach/cove area during sunset. It was amazing! Bring a sweater cuz it was a bit chilly but awesome nonetheless. They don’t serve you, you pick up your food after being called. Overall great place.Parking: Plenty of free parking but it fills up fast.”
“We drive from Auburn to have clam chowder and a crab sandwich. It is always worth the time. It is consistently delicious.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: We are almost always able to park in their handicap parking in front.”
“Just ate here today— best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Seriously. So so so great. Small, quaint, humble atmosphere with a dynamic, flavorful menu.Love it all. Will be back. Driving from Rohnert Park to eat here again.”
“Excellent food - we ordered the lobster roll and crab sandwich and both were delicious! I preferred this restaurant over the one next door. There is a great amount of seating inside and outside, quick service, and small parking lot but there was street parking behind the restaurant. And there was a restroom there which was perfect for those traveling”
“I found this Beautiful Place cozy and warm.Is being almost a Year I went for my coffee and pastries. If I have chance I will go every single day.I love this Coffee Shop And the Grocery Store next to the Coffee shop.I highly recommend. Please support small business.Vegetarian options: You will love it.Kid-friendliness: Kids friendlyParking: You can park right in front.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessibleDietary restrictions: They have selection for everyone.”
“Really nice people working here. We were so happy to find something that had outdoor seating and was dog friendly during a weekend where rain was heavy and often. Parking is limited and lotsa tourists around. Park at the cute country store and buy a soda and then go over to Estero. Great menu, lots of little creative dishes and the service was so nice and friendly and sweet. Well run, deliciously satisfying food, cooked well, and lots of crab based specials that looked awesome. On a quiet part of Highway 1, go here and be impressed and well taken care of. Thanks for the delicious coffee and food!”
“Family run catering and take out business in Bodega Bay. Food is outstanding. The owners are genuine and very nice people. The place deserves everyone's patronage. We purchased almost every item on the menu. Everything is fresh and high quality. The hummus is world class. Previous, the best hummus I ever had was "on the deck" at Ku de Ta Bali. Huria's is the only hummus in the US that rivals it. The freshly baked pita bread is even better. Check it out!”
“You have to go here if you visit Bodege Bay. We are obsessed with this place. Some of the biggest ice cream scoops I have ever had. Captain Davey himself works behind the counter and he does not fool around. He was giving it his all scooping ice cream for me and making amazing coffee with his very nice-looking espresso machine. If I lived here I would come once a week. This is a small place and its only one man so if you can go in the middle of the day you will avoid a line. There is not a lot of seating. The hot dog place next door let us use their bathroom.”
“We brought our dog and sat outside on the pier. We had great service amazing raw oysters chowder and homemade soft buttery bread, so good! It was quite a drive but the scenery along the way was pretty and we enjoyed the drive. They have an inn across the street, perhaps we'll stay next time.”
“Lana did an amazing job creating our perfect carrot cake. Our communication was thru email as we did not live in the area. She made our 1 year wedding anniversary cake/gender reveal cake all in one. It was perfect for the two of us. Super delicious and very elegant. We loved it! Thank you Lana!”
“We have loved dining at Stormy’s for years, and always enjoy taking loved ones here for celebrations. Wonderful ambiance with big fireplace and old school vintage items for decor. Roger, Carolyn, daughter Taylor and son in law Fabio always cook/serve amazing food and are very welcoming and accommodating to us. The rib eye steak is the BEST we’ve had in Sonoma County!”
“You know you’re at a good joint when the owner is joyfully roaming around enjoying the customers, both local and those on vacation. The steak sandwich and bottomless is phenomenal! Tourist locations are supposed to all be stuffy right? Wrong”
“Great little spot on the north side of Bodega Bay off of route 1. It has a little restaurant, a coffee shop, and a gift shop in three separate small buildings. We ordered the fish & chips and the fish tacos. Both were pretty good. The homemade tartar sauce had a unique flavor and really went well with the fish. The parking is right off route 1, which I would imagine is crazy packed during high season. Great place to stop with a nice outdoor patio! Decent wine selection by the glass.”
“This was a surprise! I didn't even know this is what I wanted to eat...lol. We grabbed a pesto and basil pizza to start and it was the perfect amount of cheese and flavors...paired with wine and pliney, we continued on with the cauliflower that was out of this world and the decadent paella! Wow! We'll be back. Service was great too...didn't hurt we had a front row seat to the bay...but the pizza is the one and only pic I took! That says a lot.”
“Stopped in for the first time this morning, was pleasantly surprised by this local gem. Nice people working, the owner shows real pride of ownership with this establishment. Clean bathroom, good coffee, nice snack, regulars are welcoming, highly suggest you give it a try. We will be back.”
“The food here was hot and delicious. The upper seating area was cozy, and the bar was chic and casual. Our server, who was new and had moved from Alabama to California in 2020, was gracious and wonderful. Many thanks to him, and to the kitchen.”
“We had a great time eating here. The Fish and Chips are on point! The Clan Chowder was ok. I think we're going to go back and try a Fish Sandwich and the Calamari. The Calamari looked and smelled amazing. I do recommend it.”
“Very much enjoyed my time at the casino bar and Grill. The bartenders were very kind and Fantabulous at their job. The tamale pie was awesome. Love that it was a place where locals go. I felt like I was back in time when the days were Grandioso.”
“Every time my husband and I stop in to eat it’s always the same superior food quality and friendly staff! The food is very fresh, yummy and the staff is welcoming- like you’re eating with a friend.A GREAT. place to eat in bodega bay. Highly recommend La Bodeguita!”
“Awesome food and really lovely people. The grilled prawns and clam chowder were so delish. There was easy open seating, a relaxed outdoor casual atmosphere. Can’t wait to visit again.”
“Three of us ate lunch here as first time patrons. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The grilled chicken sandwich is the best lunch I’ve been served in years. Very personable service. We sat at an outside table with our two dogs, a very pleasant setting.”
“Go to place for good eats on the Coast. Some go to Bodega Bay for the fishing, the rest of us go for the BEST Italian meals in West County! With love in our tummies we make our way home!”
“Exceptional chowder - clams, cod, leeks and bacon - delicious. Visited for an early dinner after an afternoon at Dillon Beach with my dogs. The views from the restaurant are gorgeous; Highly recommend making this part of a North Marin/Sonoma Coast trip!”
