“We came to Coastal Kitchen at Dillon Beach Resort to celebrate my mom Angela’s birthday, and everything about the experience was outstanding: warm service, delicious food, and one of the most beautiful coastal settings anywhere.

But what really made the visit unforgettable happened after the meal. My motorcycle ran out of fuel, and the team went far beyond what anyone would expect to help us. First the restaurant staff jumped in, then the gift shop team, then the maintenance crew. Together, they found an old hose, helped us fashion a siphon, and got us back on the road. They genuinely cared, and they stayed with us until we solved the problem.

As the owner of Angela’s Organic Ice Cream and Iggy’s Burger, hospitality is something I think about every day. My name is Iggy, and together with my mom Angela, we’re Sonoma and Petaluma locals. We know great hospitality when we experience it, and what we received at Coastal Kitchen was exactly the kind of service we strive to deliver ourselves—treating guests like family.

Thank you to everyone on the team for making my mom’s birthday so memorable and for going so far out of your way to help us. We’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending Coastal Kitchen to friends and family.”

“We had visited The Marshall Store before as a quick road trip pit stop and absolutely loved it—it’s no surprise the New York Times named it one of the top 50 restaurants in the US! We loved it so much that this time around, we made a special trip up from SF just to have lunch here.

The good news: the Rockefeller and Kilpatrick grilled oysters were just as incredible as we remembered. I highly recommend ordering both! The downside was that they were running a limited menu on the day we visited (a Wednesday), and they are currently not serving alcohol.

Since the menu was limited, we branched out and tried the crab sandwich and the campechana (shrimp and octopus cocktail). The crab sandwich was solid, but the campechana missed the mark for me. It came served in a sealed plastic container, which made it feel like it was store-bought, and the seafood was a bit too chewy for my liking.

Despite the hiccups, I'm still giving them 5 stars. I know firsthand how amazing this place can be, and it's on me for not checking their weekday menu changes in advance. We will definitely be back—probably on a weekend next time”

“This place is a gem! By far the best bakery in the area! Everything is the best bread and baked goods you’ve ever had!

The focaccia is especially a standout as is the almond croissant.

“They have gluten free sourdough bread!!! It’s not on the menu, but you just have to ask!!And it’s a regular size piece! Not like when you get a tiny piece of GF bread for the same price. They told me they use the same toaster, because it’s a small kitchen, so maybe not ok for people with celiac, but so happy for meeeee.

I came on a busy day, but the staff was so kind and sweet.

They also have homemade pastries in the case, and house made focaccia had just been pulled out of the oven. I couldn’t eat any of it, but it smelled so good. My gluten eating friend got the biscuits and jam and absolutely loved it.

This place is such a gem, so full of heart, and has amazing coffee. They use artisan beans from Black Oak roasters which is up in Ukiah, so anything you order will be delicious. 🙏💕 Cannot recommend enough!”

“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.”

“Very great experience. My cousin and I tried the Hot Mama, I think it was called, a mushroom mocha. It was delicious and we enjoyed sitting in the garden on a lovely October day. The woman who helped us was really nice!”

Moist chocolate cupcake with a light peanut butter frosting, drizzled with caramel then topped with bites of snickers! Even better than I thought they would be - thank you Lana! Visiting Littorai was an unforgettable experience. Andy and Luke hosted us, and they made the entire tour feel so personable and engaging; honestly, it felt like meeting up with old friends.

I loved learning about their biodynamic farming principles; it actually inspired a ton of new ideas for my own garden at home! The wines themselves were amazing - each one had so much distinct character, but the exceptional quality and taste were consistent across everything we tried. Can't recommend this place enough!”

“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.”
