“This place has ruined any other Chinese restaurant for me after finding this hidden gem! I debated even writing this review by telling myself not to ruin the amazing speed with which we received our food, but the thought of losing my new go-to spot due to low foot traffic was too much to bare.

I had been wanting to find a local spot that offered this style of Chinese cuisine, especially with the hand-pulled noodles and options for fresh-made dumplings, so this was a perfect place to go.

The location is near perfect, as it's very close to me by downtown Brentwood, and in an unassuming area of the shopping center. The only downside is the parking lot, but that's not the restaurants fault. The decor inside is very welcoming.

When we arrived, we were greeted right away by everyone within the open kitchen, which gives you a great view of the preparations of the fresh-made dishes, and told to take any open seat. The restaurant has approx. 15-16 tables, but even when we arrived on a weekday around 5pm, only 2 of them were being used.

The menus are small QR codes on a plaque near the edge of each table, with each code containing your table number, and directs you to a website with your restaurant's current menu. The menu has a well-organized selection of food, complete with photos of every dish, and usually a description of the ingredients. There's symbols for spice levels and the prices are clear and easy to read.

We were worried about how to request ways to customize the dishes, as it didn't appear you could at first. For some dishes, you can select between beef, pork, shrimp, etc on the dumplings and bowls, but not many other choices before adding the dish to your digital order. However, once the items are added to your digital order, you can make a wide number of customizations, including spice levels, noodle types and thickness, food allergies, and removing certain ingredients that you just don't like.

My husband and I settled on 2 main courses and 2 sides, with the plan to share the apps and enjoy our own mains. After placing the order, the food arrived in less than 3 minutes (if that!) It look longer to review the menu than for both of us to receive our main courses. I had ordered the Pork Belly with thin flat noodles and my husband ordered the Beef Broccoli Rice Bowl for our main courses, along with the Pan-Fried Dumplings and Beef & Onion Meat Pie as starters.

Needless to say, the speed showed how fresh the food was, and while we planned on sharing dishes, we each devoured our own starters and mains. The quality was excellent, the service was top-tier, and the taste was beyond explanation!

“The food is absolutely killer — truly zero complaints there. Everything I’ve had has been delicious and full of flavor.

Where things get a little tricky is with consistency and service. Sometimes you’ll order a dish and it’s prepared one way, and other times it comes out a bit different with extra ingredients. It’s still good, just not always consistent.

Ordering over the phone can also be hit or miss. While calling directly usually gets you a better price, there have been multiple times where orders were mixed up. It can feel a little chaotic — staff taking other orders mid-call or multitasking — and occasionally the order is repeated back incorrectly. Even after correcting it, mistakes still happen, and that can be frustrating.

That said, the food quality really is fantastic. If they can tighten up the ordering and consistency side of things, this place would be next-level.“

“Extremely friendly staff and absolutely delicious sushi and curry. Consistently great too, I have yet to be disappointed by their food. The only downside of this place is the price.. Definitely the priciest Sushi place I've been to around here. I come here to treat myself or a special occasion but not very often just because of the price point.“

“It's time to get obsessed. First time you go ask for a Stamp Card because you're going to fill that baby up quick. Especially if you buying for your kids. Which you will. Be honest. Get the cup for $7 get the Strawberry Banana or the Strawberry Mango. They have 8 ingredients used to make them. And the funky monkey and rocky road use 7 Ingredients. Everything else on the menu uses 6 or less ingredients making it a bit depressing that you spend $7 for 6 rolls or so in a cup which used 6 or less Ingredients to make the flavor. This includes whipped cream and anything considered topping comes to 6 or less. But the funky monkey and rocky road have 7 ingredients which you break even at $7 a cup. And then the strawberry banana and strawberry mango have 8 ingredients so they are really hooked up cups of strawberry ice cream rolls.“

“I visited Eight Acres for dinner and brunch and loved both experiences. The atmosphere is beautiful with an open, airy dining room upstairs, a speak easy vibe downstairs and views of the surrounding hills. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home. Our favorite dish so far is the Blueberry French Toast at brunch. It has a light crust around the side that reminds me of a creme brulee crust. Highly recommend!“

“Been here now about 4 Times. Seen a food critic do a review on Instagram and he liked it. So I had to try it. Mannn, the ribs are nice, juicy, delicious and hot when served. Same for the Tri tip and links. The bbq sauce was sweet but not over powering. It definitely compliments the bbq. The greens are good, but them beans is real good too. I drove from Concord to come here which is a 15 to 25 min drive. It was well worth it. Come try this spot out if you wants some good BBQ for a good price as well...“
