“Stop every time I go past Dixon, hit it a few times a year usually during baseball season we always stop on the way back from the A's game. People are friendly drinks are good, I've met a couple members of the family including mama Luke who is just a doll, her son (owner) is a nice guy and came up in the service industry was able to buy the business then the building he's doing it right hats off to him, everyone makes you feel welcome definitely recommend.“
“If you ever want to escape to a great down to earth place it's here. The food is the best the people are just super nice and I just love the casual comfortable surrounding. You can be yourself and just relax with great conversation. I really love it here .“
“Great bar. Bartenders are nice don't get me wrong the only thing is they should at least acknowledge you when you're waiting and let you know that they will be right with you. Order 2 drinks it was $28. Kinda pricey to me. Would I come back again. Yes but not every weekend since the drinks are expensive. Great place to hangout thou. Almost forgot. They could use some better music too cuz I started falling asleep in there cuz of the music.“
“Wherever I'm craving a burger, Tommy J's(Froggys) is the first place that comes to mind. This has been my go-to burger place for the past few years. Where friends and family visit, they insist we go here for at least one of our meals. The burgers are hefty at 1/2 a pound. What a love about this place is that they always cook your burger exactly how you want it. I like my burgers medium rare and whenever I go to other burger joints around Davis, they always overcook it. My favorite is the Southern Cali because it has bacon and avocado. What else could a person want? You can get tots, fries or a salad with your order... in the summer they offer watermelon as a side. If you're feeling fancy you can get speciality fries as a side with an up charge. It's a very causal place with a dive bar feel. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to your table. You can also order online which I love, my husband will usually DD our orders when we want a relaxing night in.“
“Food is super good and the mimosa carafes were tasty and affordable! That being said, it can be hard to find seating because it's a smaller space and the staff at the bar were rude when we went. We would still go back for the food, but they should be more considerate of people who haven't been there before and don't understand which counter to order at and how the line works.“
“I went here for a friends birthday a few months ago and then again last weekend. I'm not a beer drinker so I can't really comment on that (sorry) ... but I am a snacker/appetizer lover! Everything we had was really good but my favorite thing was the pretzel and cheese bites which they got rid of! WHY??? Cheese Curds were a favorite for the whole fam. People/servers nice, love the indoor and outdoor seating options.“
“Burger was good. Nothing special or haven’t had before just ok. Unfortunately they use frozen patties so knock a star for that. Seems like there’s lots of regulars so you doing get overly friendly staff unless you are a regular.Parking: Parking kinda sucks“
“I like sitting outside, when the weather is warm and good. I went here several times, 2-3 occasions for beer or drinks daytime, 2-3 lunches, and one dinner. You can enjoy their drinks like draft beer or soda on the table outside between lunch and dinner time or on weekdays, as they are less busy. And they get you free chips and salsa. You can spend some great relaxing time, whle they dont offer happy hours. For lunch on weekends, their services can get slow, as I do not think they have enough number of employees/servers... you need to be patient sometimes.... bills for your lunch can be full $18-20 w/o tips, which is new normal these days. Their food quality is good enough to enjoy, not the highest quality, though. Overall, great place to visit for some decent Mexican food and some cold beer at the patio outside.“

“Cool spot, friendly, knowledgeable service, and good wine selection. Was going to just pick up a bottle of wine to go, but ended up sitting next a friendly patron at the bar, chatting and getting a glass of the Zinfandel blend from Lodi and then a 20-year tawny Port, both of which were really good. They have some seating inside and out. Definitely recommend.“
“Best beef sliders in Davis! They also have the best brussels sprouts. Everything on their happy hour menu is delicious, not to mention their consistent and fantastic location, atmosphere, and customer service. I will always refer and return!“
“Location is right inside pass the Quality Inn. Lots of parking. They had a live band at 9pm on a Friday night and the place definitely filled up. We were a group that hung out I'm the pool table area which had a jukebox and 3 pool tables. We ordered the food upfront and food and drinks were brought to us in a timely manner. Note the salad is huge huge huge! Hubby and I split it and our to go container was still pretty full. The tater skins were super delicious as well. Happy hour is until 7pm and we just made it after so didn't get to take advantage of that. Overall great food I'm a hidden place!“
“Lively atmosphere with great food and drinks. The fish sandwich was good, as well as the turkey avacado sandwich and burger. The guiness shack was really good too! Great outdoor seating with water misters to keep cool. This place has been here for many years and will be here many more!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids' menu, and all the seating is outside.“
“Nice spot in Davis for a Beer especially if it's nice outside. What made me go to this place was the parklet outside and the beautiful seating when Davis is not scorching hot or flooding rain. The bartender was nice and I went during happy hour and got the Mangonada Margarita which tasted pretty good, but not too strong. There was a special beer flight which is 3 beers with 3 girls scout cookies! I'll be getting that next time.“
“As always, the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was very flavorful. I was looking forward to the Nicoise salad with the tofu steak, which I had had last time, but alas, it was no longer on the menu. But I ordered the Fattoush and added the tofu steak and it was delicious. While the wine menu for glasses only is a bit limited, we did enjoy the wine we ordered. Thank you!“

“The staff was very friendly and attentive. Appetizers were hot and fresh. We had the Cajun shrimp pasta, bacon ranch cheese burger, surf and turf and the smokehouse combo. Also tried the lava cake it is big enough for two people and the cheese cake slice is huge.“

It was a busy night like usual but please give it a shot and don't let my four stars concern you. “Just a real nice , low key, comfortable place to get a bite. Friendly attentive staff ,and my pastrami sandwich was so delicious and they have some magical secret spice combo they use on their fries that just rocks !
