“While Porto’s is well-known, the Downey location feels a little less crowded than others. The guava cheese pastry is always a winner—flaky, buttery, and sweet. I tried their Cuban sandwich for lunch, and it was huge and satisfying. The lines move quickly thanks to the efficient staff. Definitely worth the drive for affordable, delicious baked goods“

“I ordered the cinnamon oat latte, and I'm usually not a fan of oatmilk but it was balanced so well against the espresso and the cinnamon that it didn't dominate the flavor. It was a very smooth drink, not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too strong.
My wife got the strawberry matcha latte, and while the matcha was of a decent grade and quality, the strawberry isn't a puree, nor is it like a strawberry creme or milk added in, it's an additive in powder form and she doesn't tend to like that.
Their chocolate croissant, which we shared, was heated up as requested, it came with a line of melted chocolate drizzle on top, which I think was similar to Nutella but less thick in terms of consistency. It was also topped with powder sugar, and it had an inserted line of darker chocolate, maybe 65%, so pretty balanced against the sweetness of everything else involved.
The area the cafe is located in is nice, it's a large promenade with several nicer restaurants (it's also sort of attached to it's restaurant counterpart) and there's plenty to walk around and get some shopping done or walk off the drinks and baked sweets. Plenty of parking as well, and the mall itself is only a block or two north from the cafe.“

“I had the matcha cream brûlée with a snoopy design on top. Super cute! Matcha was alright, tasted fine. Wasn’t a big fan of the honey (I think?) on the bottom though. Kinda overpowering, wish it was maybe mixed into the drink or something.. will come back to try other drinks tho.“
“A great Christian store with lots of Bibles, books, cards, jewelry, etc. to keep or to give. Helpful, polite employees, in person and on the phone.“

“Small place. Super friendly staff. Self serve boba. Have 20 different flavors. Some interesting. Some super good. They let you taste test which is awesome. Prices are decent keeping in mind the times now. They have a food menu. Had the spicy shrimp and pork wonton soup. It didn't disappoint. Hit the spot. Will definitely be visiting this place again !“

“7 Leaves is hands down my favorite spot for a refreshing drink, and I never leave disappointed. Their Thai tea is consistently amazing, rich, creamy, and perfectly sweetened without being overwhelming. It's the kind of drink that feels like a little moment of indulgence every time I have it. What sets 7 Leaves apart is the consistency. No matter when I stop by, whether it's a busy afternoon or a quiet evening, the quality is always spot on. The balance of flavors in their drinks is always perfect, and their variety ensures there’s something for everyone.I’ve ventured beyond the Thai tea a few times, and every drink has been just as good from their milk teas to their fresh fruit options. The drinks are always made with care, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, and the vibe of the place is always welcoming and relaxed. It’s become my go-to destination when I need a pick-me-up or just want to treat myself. I can always count on 7 Leaves to deliver a satisfying, delicious experience every time. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality drinks and great service.“

“TL;DR - I loved their new matcha lineup (super unique and good). The drinks here are pretty lol. Popcorn chicken and sticky chicken bites hit the spot. Charbroiled ribeye was very good too. And definitely ask for less sugar if that’s your usual!
I’ve been meaning to check this place out for a while, and I’m glad I finally did. Their menu is stacked for both food and drink, but the drinks are what really shine. They’re honestly some of the prettiest drinks I’ve seen (and yes, they taste as good as they look). The food was solid overall, and they’ve got all the classics you expect from a milk tea spot.
We tried the new matcha series and every single one was a tasty. The screaming strawberry matcha milk tea was super refreshing, and the cookie butter matcha ended up being my personal favorite—I’m weak for anything biscoff and this one was seriously delicious lol. The screaming blueberry matcha was really fun to try too. You don’t see blueberry matcha often, so that was cool and definitely worth getting if you love blueberry. Heads up: their drinks lean sweeter, so if you’re a “30–50% sugar” person, make sure to make that request here too.
Food-wise, I was excited they had popcorn chicken. You can’t go wrong with that. The sticky chicken bites were also tasty (a sweeter option). The standout for me was the charbroiled ribeye. I’m always a sucker for ribeye, and theirs did not disappoint.
Service was quick, the staff were super friendly, and the space has a chill vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating, good lighting, and it’s a nice spot to study or just hang out with friends.“
