“I ordered the cinnamon oat latte, and I'm usually not a fan of oatmilk but it was balanced so well against the espresso and the cinnamon that it didn't dominate the flavor. It was a very smooth drink, not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too strong.

My wife got the strawberry matcha latte, and while the matcha was of a decent grade and quality, the strawberry isn't a puree, nor is it like a strawberry creme or milk added in, it's an additive in powder form and she doesn't tend to like that.

Their chocolate croissant, which we shared, was heated up as requested, it came with a line of melted chocolate drizzle on top, which I think was similar to Nutella but less thick in terms of consistency. It was also topped with powder sugar, and it had an inserted line of darker chocolate, maybe 65%, so pretty balanced against the sweetness of everything else involved.

The area the cafe is located in is nice, it's a large promenade with several nicer restaurants (it's also sort of attached to it's restaurant counterpart) and there's plenty to walk around and get some shopping done or walk off the drinks and baked sweets. Plenty of parking as well, and the mall itself is only a block or two north from the cafe.“

“I recently stumbled upon an adorable little coffee shop, thanks to a quick search on Google. As someone who loves exploring new places, I was immediately drawn to its charm. The shop offered an impressive array of pastries. We decided to try their croissants, which turned out to be light, airy, and perfectly crispy.

The coffee menu, while straightforward, was inviting. However, I noticed that there weren't many options catered specifically for kids. After inquiring, the staff kindly provided us with a variety of alternatives, ensuring everyone could find something enjoyable. One thing we learned was that most sweeteners came with an extra charge.

We faced a minor setback when it took longer than anticipated to receive our drinks. With two orders ahead of us, we found ourselves waiting about 20 minutes. Despite the wait, we would definitely return. The coffee was simply perfect, though next time, we'll be sure to allow ourselves some extra time.“

The best part tho was the ham and cheese croissant ! Honestly the most satisfying and perfectly crafted one I’ve ever had. Without question. The menu item for this magical thing is confusing as it says “ham and cheese croissant panini” but forget the panini part, it’s just a really really good, proper European style croissant with the perfect amount of ham and lush melted cheese and it comes out nice and hot ! “Fairly busy even upon just opening, the barista was fast and efficient. Atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. Wish they had more seats for hanging out/ taking care of any life admin you may have. It was a really peaceful and good environment for being productive. The Spanish latte (hot) was perfect and comforting on a rare cloudy day in DTLA. The Spanish latte was quality and just placed Andante at the top of my list of the best coffee shops in downtown!“

Turns out, it's Tees cafe.I google the place. It doesnt even have tacos on its online menu. I ask the guy, are you sure this is the place. He says yes. They make great birria tacos.I decide to have a combined lunch and breakfast there the next day.God finds my plan too boring and I lose my credit cards the next day. I only find about it while trying to pay for my food, which thankfully I have to do before eating.I cancel my order with a light stomach and q heavy heart and join my friend sitting outside. We are both very respectful of individualism so I dont ask for help and he gracefully doesn't offer any as he silently inhales three tacos.A moment later I feel a tap on my shoulder. It's an almost comically stereotypical overweight Mexican daddy smiling with two tacos on a plate. They are free and they are for me.In retrospect, this was the only way for this mom and dad cafe to surpass my sky.high expectations. With delicious authentic tacos and hospitality I have no problem calling this the best taco place in downtown LA.Just don't make it too famous.“
