“My new favorite sushi and marisco spot! I rarely order food from food trucks but I decided to give this place a chance. It did not disappoint! The service is awesome. They are super friendly and answered all the questions I had about their menu. We ordered sushi and it was delicious full of flavors. Additionally, we ordered aguachiles and a tostada mixta. Portions are huge!”

“Cruda was a fantastic spot. I was excited to try the camarones culichi. I was so thankful for the waitress that helped us and let me know that the culichi was a bit spicy that day (usually it's not that spicy) so I ended up skipping it and getting the shrimp tacos. So ask your server if the culichi is spicy before ordering. I don't do well with spicy. The ambiance was very neat - love the neon sign. If you know you know! ;) Overall, great place a little pricy but ask for the specials if they have any. we got double the oysters because they were having a sale. Solid place.”

“Visiting from out of town. Walked in to order the famous Torta Cubana in size: grande. They have fast service from my experience. The Torta was much bigger than I had anticipated, and it was stacked. I recommend regular size if you dont have a big appetite. The torta is really tasty. Authentic taste, like a real mexican torta. Salsa was on point as well.”

“This is my favorite restaurant of the year! Exceptional food and service, and I love the ambiance of being in a converted home. The menu is almost constantly changing (so plenty of temptation to go back).The first time I visited Heritage I booked a return trip as soon as I left the restaurant. Fortunately (for my bank account, if not my taste buds) I live a couple of hours away, otherwise who knows how often I'd be there.A must try!”

“I was uncomfortable with the place down the street. It looked rowdy. Javi told us to try this place. He said it's been here over 10 years. I wish I knew about this place sooner. It's a hidden gem.They have a huge indoor seating area, cafeteria style. There's restrooms.We paid $120 for two botanas, a dozen oysters, 6 shrimp tacos, two tostadas, and three drinks. Yum. Sorry! “STEPH JUDGEMENT: Charming atmosphere and good food, but slightly uneven service. We were staying at the hotel and decided to try it for breakfast. It had an adorable retro 1930s vibe going on, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered a coffee and their smoked salmon and latke (same as hash browns), and was pleasantly surprised by an unexpected poached egg. The hubby ordered two scrambled eggs and "cool ranch" hash browns (basically cool ranch dust). Everything was delicious, but after the server dropped off our food she was nowhere to be seen for a while, and it took some time to settle our bill. Luckily we weren't in a hurry, and I believe they had just opened, so I'm sure the service will improve as they get their bearings. I'd definitely like to try them again when next in the area.”

“You will not find better service than when you enter Borjstar. Honestly, they treat you like a star. They are attentive and incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is just as great. Very flavorful and leaves you wanting more! They also have a yogurt/ice cream dispenser so you can treat yourself before/after your meal. Put Borjstar on your list of restaurants to visit in the Gardena/South Bay area. You won't regret it!”

I first tried their food in San Francisco earlier this year and had to visit the new location on my family vacation. “There's definitely a reason this place keeps coming up everywhere as number ones bartenders are nice with a touch of sass like you'd like at a dive bar, but it's elevated. The prices are pretty pricey, but for the love ingredients and originality of the cocktails I guess it's alright, but I'm not staying for more than two lol. We ordered 4 cocktails and two mocktails and it was about $100 so time to go home lol. They have yummy little snacks and overall we were happy with this new Long Beach spot.”

“This is truly a gem of a hole in the wall!! Almost literally, and I say that with respect and appreciation. This cute little eatery is easy to miss, being tucked in a very small strip mall (if it even qualifies as that!) between a small pharmacy and a laundromat, just south of the Arco on the corner of PCH and Pacific. But once you have eaten here, boy oh boy is it hard to forget!I come here about once every other week when I'm on a regular work schedule. Became hooked immediately with their unique bahn mi sandwiches and their pate chaud. Now I'm completely obsessed with their plant-based shrimp spring rolls and their grilled pork bun bowl. That bowl is the perfect balance of light and filling, flavorful and refreshing. It is one of my lunch go-to options. And the plant-based shrimp rolls are AMAZING. Obviously I'm not vegan, but this is an item that I enjoy so much despite it all.I have yet to try their pho. Maybe one of these days. They do have seating inside, but no restroom. Also, parking lot is small and shared, so I avoid coming during peak lunch hours, usually after 1 to pick up my food, and I've had no issues.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, flavorful too!Parking: Parking lot is pretty small and shared with a pharmacy, laundromat and discount store.”

There's a variety of noodle options available. We tried the Phnom Penh Noodle Special dry and soup, Beef and Meatball Noodle, Pork Rice Porridge with fried breadstick, and ordered round bread on the side. While the round bread was too dense and hard, the meat bread had too many onions. Despite the rushed service causing a couple of mistakes, the overall experience was quite good, with fast and efficient customer service. It was very hard to find parking there so we had to park in the neighborhood.”

“Every time I've eaten here it's been delicious! I've been coming here since i was a toddler, many moons ago. This was the go to place for all the "Tia's" for tamale making get - togethers.Across the street, LA Gloria, they would buy the "maza" for the tamales fests. Great times. I don't make tamales anymore but i surely do go for the tacos and work Pot Lucks/Holiday work celebrations. It's not far from work. I give this 5 STARS!!!”
