“Don Julio’s catered a last-minute work event for about 60 people and absolutely nailed it. Roberto and his catering manager were so helpful putting together a buffet menu, and the food was a huge hit. We had carne with chile verde, chicken fajitas, rice, beans, salad, handmade tortillas, bread, and aguas frescas. Everything was delicious, but the chile verde really stole the show!

The staff was friendly and attentive, packed up leftovers, and left everything spotless. Super easy to work with and amazing food. Highly recommend.“

“Wow! I am really impressed by the gelato here. I popped by on a whim and I’m honestly blown away by how clean their gelato tastes. Their gelato isn’t heavily flavored or give off that icky artificial sweet after taste, so if you’re used to baskin robbins this place is not for you. However, if you are (a) looking for a sweet treat that doesn’t make you feel guilty or crummy afterwards or (b) Asian (“not too sweet” is our ultimate compliment after all) then run don’t walk!! I tried their chestnut flavor and their ube flavor. The ube was just right with a light ube taste, toasted coconut, and a hint of vanilla. The gelato was not a ghastly fake purple color. I’ve never been able to finish a whole cone of ice cream/gelato before because it always ends up overwhelmingly sweet, but the gelato here was just too good! I’m going to recommend this spot to all my friends.“

“They make the best sandwiches here. I love getting either the Breakfast Burrito or the Breakfast sandwich on the way to work. The people who make my food are very nice. I love the turkey sandwich the most. My husband loves the Always Thanksgiving sandwich. They also have a great selection of fresh breads. My favorite is the Dutch Crunch.“

And though one doesn't normally expect anything special from counter order service, here the staff is always kind, attentive and generous with servings.

I'm a fan of the tostada bowl but the menu has got ample variety including limited but solid vegetarian options.“

For example the bench outside the Redwood City restaurant is so pretty and show cases the colors and designs of India. The food itself is very comforting. It is inspired by the recipes of the founder's grandmother and it is delicious. I love the chai there and love that they have a chai kit. The food and drinks were amazing to say the least- the setup, presentation, service and quality of the food/drinks that we had were phenomenal. Everything looked so beautiful and I could tell that they had a lot of attention to detail. The food was a hit, with many people saying that it beat their thanksgiving dinners! “We've been enjoying True's delicious Ethiopian cooking for 5 years now, ever since we found out this catering company does take-out orders on the weekend. We used to have to trek up to SF or San Jose, but once we found True we've never looked back. The food is absolutely delicious and packaged individually so it's easy to save leftovers. Our young kids love the Kik Alitcha (yellow lentils) and Gomen (collards), willingly eating their vegetables. I love all the vegan options, especially the salad! I am a salad lover, and the Green Salad hits the spot every time.

Tina took care of everything, from setting up the tables to arranging the food trays, which looked absolutely stunning. For the menu, I ordered a variety of dishes, including oxtail kare kare, chicken adobo, pancit, fried rice, beef kaldereta, BBQ pork ribs, lumpia, and turon. Every dish was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor! The food was tender and absolutely delicious.

“Big Bites is one of those rare spots that just gets it right. Both my daughter and I love the food here. Everything feels fresh, bright, and clean, from the flavors to the presentation.

Our go-to favorites are the chicken and veggie pho and the banh mi. The ingredients taste vibrant and thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell real care goes into every dish. I am especially looking forward to trying the curry next.

“Upon entry, I found the associates courteous with their smiles and slight bowing from the waist. A very Asian trait that, on top of the recording of the music of internationally renowned Arjit Singh in the background, added authenticity to the place. The servers were professional yet very warm and friendly. I ordered the flat bread with broccoli and onions, with a request to tone down the spiciness because of a previously bad experience with Indian food in San Diego. The flat bread was served hot with the delicious aroma of the spices wafting from the generous helping of the round bread that filled the entire 12" diameter pan! I was able to see and enjoy the taste of both the broccoli and onions in the flat bread. It was even served with a side of sliced fresh onions in vinegar and soy sauce together with another side of white sauce that tasted like cream of broccoli soup. Everything on the table, including a complimentary mango-with-yogurt drink, was a perfect blend, and I did not have to drench the table napkin nor my shirt with my sweat due to the level of spices tolerated by Indians but excessive to non-Indians. They gave me, a non-Indian, a spicy meal that I relished earlier this evening! Kudos to the entire staff!“
