“This is what I would recommend as elegant dinning with attentive service. If you are looking for a place to impress your partner they set the standard for attentive service. From the time you enter to the time you leave it's all about you and your guests. Started out the "Ahi Tuna Tartare" then the "Slow Roasted Short Rib" and for dessert I had the "Ukrainian Honey Cake". The Tuna Tartar, with the Moroccan Spices stood out for me, this is not poke. But it was all about the beef. I have not had a better Short Rib anywhere else. Cook perfectly with good flavor on a bed of sweet corn with a splash of gravy. They have salt and pepper on the table, but if you feel a need to use, their is something wrong with you. Now the dessert, I took a risk with the "Honey", the word "Honey" just stands out as to sweet. You know the Winny the Poo thing. But it had a right balance with the berries and Chantilly creme. Went well with a fresh cup of coffee. Prices are reasonable. Remember your not just coming here for just the food, you'll be experiencing an attentive special night out. Enjoy.“

What started as a spontaneous date day adventure led us to the charming streets of Historic Folsom, where we stumbled upon Plank’s Craft Kitchen & Bar — a rustic gem with just the right mix of cozy and cool. Our server was on point from start to finish — warm welcome, perfectly timed courses, and not once did our glasses go dry. Everything flowed with such ease, it felt like we were regulars. Drinks first, because priorities: • The Lake Lennon was a total hit — crisp, refreshing, and that subtle hint of cucumber was chef’s kiss. • The Strawberry Gimlet was almost too easy to drink. Sweet, smooth, and gone in the blink of an eye. • The Bees Knees packed the strongest punch of the three, but when I asked for a splash of lemonade to mellow it out, they happily brought it over — instantly elevated the whole experience. Appetizer: We went with the cheese curds, and let me tell you, these weren’t your average bar snack. Lightly crisped on the outside, gooey on the inside, and paired with a homemade marinara that deserves its own spotlight. I genuinely contemplated licking the bowl. No shame. Main Course: We split the Cali Club — and it was everything. Super fresh, balanced flavors, and not a trace of that questionable chicken you sometimes get in sandwiches (IYKYK). The tater tots were golden and perfectly crunchy, and the trio of dipping sauces (chipotle, ranch, and ketchup) were clearly house-made and next-level tasty. In short, Plank’s delivered big time. Whether you’re planning a night out or just happen to wander in like we did, this place hits all the right notes — delicious food, creative drinks, and stellar service. “Pleasantly surprised.....in the heart of Palladio in Folsom is a restaurant that caught my eye, Back Bistro. Today I made a stop just after 3pm, what a find! Happy hour everyday from 3 to 6pm. Great selection of happy hour appetizers and drinks. My favs were the Tequila Sour, Ahi Poke Wontons, Philly Cheese Steak Sliders, and Cajun fries. Limited but good beer specials as well. Great bar service, good value and specials, see pics. The place does not disappoint. I am definitely coming back.“

“Wonderful time celebrating a friend‘s birthday over Saturday brunch! The atmosphere is off-the-charts beautiful, and the restaurant and staff are just lovely. Crabcakes Benedict on homemade biscuits, and the spring salad with chicken were just wonderful. Props to our waiter, William! He hunted down a candle for us for the warm brownie sundae for the birthday girl, which we devoured before poking around the plants, pottery and gift shops. Can’t wait to go back. Love this place!“

“Did you know there are but TWO Barnes & Noble Kitchens in the world? Folsom is so lucky to have one of those two! Honestly this is the best place for brunch on the weekends, with plenty of patio space, DELICIOUS food (their crispy potatoes are sooo addictive), and of course, surrounded by books and magazines to enjoy. Don’t walk, RUN here for brunch. You’ll thank me for it ?“

“We had an to Roy in Granite Bay and decided to try this since it was close by. So glad we found it! I love the atmosphere and location. Food was terrific and staff was very friendly. The Farm Bowl was delicious. My 12 year old can be a picky eater so thankfully there was a special of braised beef sliders, which he loved. Happy to recommend it. We need to come back for breakfast.“

“Maybe the very best brussel sprouts I have ever eaten. Our server was so sure of herself, I decided to let her choose my dish. She picked the aioli spicy chicken sandwich (I would have picked a burger). I am glad I did. I was able to enjoy something delightful I may not have ever tried. Definitely a food stop in Folsom. I found it by looking at reviews. Represa Grill had the highest rating and well deserved.“

I'm not really a big fan of having to go to the counter to order and then have it delivered to the table. I like full service.
The people who do bring your food have just the right amount of attentiveness and leaving you be to do what you came to do.

The atmosphere could use some improvement I would rather see them look more like Urban Eats . It looks a little pedestrian somewhere between a California Chicken Cafe and a Raising Cane's. Those places are great and they both have good service but the atmosphere is for what type of restaurant it is which is pretty much not fine dining but just good food fast.

Haha it's not a Chuck e cheese or anything I don't mean that... I just mean the lighting could be a little nicer and maybe it would be good that you don't see the drink machine for refills right out the gate and maybe just not white walls with a few pictures but like something more... relaxing? Inspiring?

Slightly lower lighting with maybe soft white rather than harsh white. Just a little bit more work on the decor. The tables aren't bad.

The outdoor dining space is nice. I guess I would just like the whole decor to be a little less fast food looking because they really aren't fast food. They are healthy delicious food. When I was there it was really busy and it was later in the evening so the place is a hit. Definitely worth going.“

“PERFECTION! My wife and I have been meaning to try this place out for quite a while, but we end up going somewhere else. We FINALLY popped in on sunday, holy cow, the food was AMAZING. The cheesy pull-apart bread, beyond good, it was like crack. The pot stickers, house-made, and the best I've ever had. Not by a little, by a lot. My ruben sandwich was 10/10... best I've ever had... it displaced the previous first place from 20 years ago in New Orleans. My wife just had a salad, but it was a monster, super fresh, and had a ton of blue cheese crumbles on it. This dinner we had, it was destination grade, and there's no place we can think of in 50 miles that even comes close. You can tell they use top notch ingredients... just sooooo good. Wait staff was super friendly, it was just so good I can't even say it enough.

Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. He took the time to truly connect with us, and we left thinking, “Wow, this guy is different. He cares.” Fast forward seven months, and I reached out to him with a heartbreaking story about our extended family’s red fox lab, Wrigley, who we lost suddenly and tragically. I hoped he could do something small to honor Wrigley, but his response overwhelmed us. He listened deeply, reacted with empathy, and went above and beyond to honor this pup in a way that brought us comfort and healing. Riley’s on Sutter has now become a special place for our family to gather and remember Wrigley. Beyond the incredible kindness of the owner, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ve interacted with several staff members, all of whom were exceptionally nice—and yes, they all seem to be dog lovers! I even joked with one employee that it must be a job requirement.
