“First time here - I’ve been wanting to try it for quite a while. I love that the have a Jersey Girl bagel. The bagels were very tasty and beautiful. They were very understaffed for a Friday holiday - one person on till and one in the kitchen. This made for a very slow bagel experience. We waited 30 minutes for our food after ordering. And this was with no one in line before us. I will likely come back, but definitely not if I show up already hungry.“

“LOVE love love this place. Obviously the bagels--get the freshie to have it right out of the oven, but truly you can't go wrong. They're perfect. But then everything else on the menu too! It's the best rugelach I've ever had and I'm obsessed with their chai by Flowerhead Tea. It's probably good that I live far away or I would go all the time.“

“Great bagels, friendly, line moves quickly. They're not kidding when they say they sell out within a couple hours of opening. I arrived around an hour after opening and the everything bagels were sold out. I will absolutely return, and I have to wake up earlier next time!“

“I’ve been coming here for years and it has been my favorite. I work across the street so my colleagues and I love coming here for breakfast or lunch. The owners are so kind and sweet and always in the happiest mood. I highly recommend their open faced lox bagels and their hot link bagel dogs .“

“I like this bagel shop quite a bit actually. They are always busy, but there isn't to long of a wait ever. They do run out of pastries and some flavors of bagels so make sure you go early! The only shitty thing about this place is that it's kinda hard to get to if you're driving. Shoot it was kinda confusing to get to on foot too honestly. There is parking but it's an underground parking garage that u have to pay for. The entrance to parking garage is not on 14th st but on whatever side st is behind the bagel shop. If u do park down there, u can take the elevator to the top ground. Walk to the left and around the corner, you will see a bunch of tall buildings when u get out of the elevator. When u walk towards the left you will see an ATM, cross the courtyard thing and BAM lol the bagel shop is right there. Can't miss it 😉. If you are walking there from Broadway, it's behind Walgreens and Citi bank by the art sculpture thing surrounded by hella tall buildings. Good luck lol. I love the strawberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese or the I think it's called the sugar bagel or cinnamon sugar bagel with cream cheese 👌bomb.com! Oh yeah.... Their coffee is horrible, tastes like hot water 🫤“

“Solid! I got an egg, cheddar, and sausage sandwich on a sesame bagel for $10.95 and took it across the street to eat in the cute Noe Valley plaza. The workers were friendly and the service was very fast. Great spot for a hearty midday snack.“

“Debuted at the end of the pandemic in response to an ethnic slur Dago Bagel from Tony Gemignani is one of three concepts inhabiting 728 Vallejo Street, and from Thursday through Sunday beginning at 08:00am guests are welcome to enjoy everything from true New York Style Bagels to housemade loaves and traditional Italian Pastries made with skill and love.
A change of pace for the lauded Pizza maker, a man whose name is nearly-synonymous with North Beach, it is inside the shop that acts as both Bakery and storefront that guests will meet well trained staff and pleasant servers more than willing to discuss products and production at length.
Beginning with Bagels, developed in conjunction with Adam Sachs, Dago’s collection spans from Pride to Everything and from stretchy skin to a dense interior with good chew the “best” is a matter of personal opinion whether toasted with Cream Cheese or plain.
Liberally using Malt and a Cuppone Panettone deck oven imported from Italy, plus stone-ground Flour made on-site, visitors attention is next drawn to Toscano Brothers including “Gold Standard” Baguettes and Organic Sourdough Ace Pagnotta incorporating Spelt, Rosemary and Olives into a 40 year old Sourdough starter.
Trending sweet from here, a Sour Cherry and Chocolate Batard souring local produce and TCHO Chocolate, Tony’s “Piattina” cuts a wide swath of textures and flavors before Antonio’s Italians Pastries rounds things out with classic Rainbow Cookies and world-class Lemon Ricotta Cake plus silky Budino hidden alongside Prosciutto and Mortadella in the cold case.“

“A bit slow and pricey. I wish they cooked the eggs differently for the bagel sandwiches. I am not sure if they are using powdered eggs, but the way they prepare them in thin folded sheets makes them dry and unpleasant. Bacon was also shredded and dry. The sausage was great though, and the quality of the bagels are good.“

“Best bagels and cream cheese in the city! I've been to their Fillmore Street location several times, but this is my first time at this specific location. The employees were fun and friendly. There isn't a spot to eat inside, but there are many tables to eat at outside.“
“Most of the bagel sandwiches come open faced and you can mix & match two different halves, which I love. My favorites are the Bartavalle, Brusco, and Gold Standard. The fennel orange latte with homemade syrup is tasty and well balanced.
They make good use of the small space and have several spaces to sit, including some outdoor seating.
Lots of street parking around.“

“Very good bagels, run by a very nice family. The atmosphere is clean, but not somewhere that's very inviting to eat. Since the pandemic, I haven't seen literally anybody eating here. People just get their stuff to go. That said, they make proper boiled bagels fresh every day. They're chewy and crisp when toasted, which is exactly how a bagel should
be. I'm a lox guy, and they've only ever served me good, fresh lox. This is an important detail. Tons of bagel places serve fishy lox that you can tell hasn't been properly refrigerated or stored. This is never the case at house of bagels. To be honest, I've kind of had an addiction to this place. I go on jags where I get a bagel there 4 times a week....one last thing: try the pastrami bagel. It's delicious.
Kid-friendliness: I've been taking my kid there since he was 9 years old. They love him and treat him so nicely that it makes me love them. It's his favorite breakfast.“

“Easily a 5-star spot. The owner, Santos, is one of the kindest, most attentive people you’ll meet and truly cares about every customer and the community.
Service is always quick, warm, and thoughtful. Ordering online and picking up in-person is always a breeze.
Menu offers both classics and creative spins on favorites; the avocado toast, served open-faced and loaded with fresh arugula, is a standout! And don't miss the great selection of fresh juices and grab-and-go snacks/beverages in the fridge.
So grateful to have a place like this. It’s an absolute neighborhood favorite.“

“The food and service were great. Fast, kind, and delicious. The interior space is definitely not a 5 atar dining experience. But for a place to sit and eat breakfast, it was fine. The selection was good, and the pastries were clearly made fresh. They did a great job making the food and drinks we ordered. Would definitely go back again.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly breakfast options. Donuts, bagels, cinnamon rolls, etc.“

“This coffee place is definitely a place where you wanna go, when there's not that much people. I love the modern and hip vibe of the building in itself -- the decor inside the place a really cozy yet light environment.
I love how active they are about giving back to the community. That to me shows a lot. They're also proudly Latina and women-owned too, so that in itself shows a lot.I walked in and got an horchata latte -- and needless to say, they were one of the best ones I've ever gotten. It tasted really silky, not too sweet, and the cinnamon taste wasn't overbearing. One thing to note - they are closed on Tuesdays, which is odd. I will not question that.
They are also a vibe as well -- great hospitality and they treat everybody who comes in like familia. Now THAT is how you run a local and small-owned business and have regular customers like me go back time by time.
I definitely will be back to support this establishment!“

“What Primavera does really well that lots of other sandwich shops overlook is their bread - it's fantastic here. The portions are generous and good selection, including delicious veggie options.
This isn't a fancy sandwich shop, it's a real-deal simple, satisfying meal at a fair price. Evidenced by the droves of students that frequent it. Support family owned businesses!“

“Came on a Saturday late morning - around 10:30am. There were only two people manning the store, but my god they were so enjoyable to be around that it made the wait actually worth it. The bagels were amazing, sure, but I would come here every day if I weren't from the East Coast just to be in the presence of these two very funny, happy workers. Would 100% recommend.“

“Gateway Croissant is one of those rare spots that quietly becomes part of your life. Tucked within a short walk of the City, State, and Federal buildings and a short walk from BART. It’s the perfect stop for anyone commuting into Civic Center.
For the last two years, any day I’m heading into the City, I have to swing by for a cruller or an apple fritter. At this point, it’s a ritual.
What keeps me coming back isn’t just the pastries (though the cruller is dangerously good). It’s the people. Everyone here is genuinely kind and appreciative, the kind of staff who make you feel like your stop actually matters to them. In a busy part of San Francisco, that warmth stands out.
There’s something special about grabbing a fresh donut and taking a slow walk around the Civic Center, watching the morning unfold, the buildings light up, and the city wake around you. Highly recommend picking up a treat and enjoying a stroll through the plaza. It’s a small moment of calm that sets the tone for the whole day.
Gateway Croissant is simple, welcoming, and consistently excellent. A true neighborhood gem.“

“Stumbled on this place when working across the street servicing a customer's equipment and needed to grab lunch nearby. Had the best turkey and swiss deli sandwich of my life, not kidding. Now, every time I drive by the place I salivate. Had the chance to stop by there again today, one year later, and the turkey and swiss sandwich was even better! Fresh high quality bread, turkey, swiss cheese, tomato, red onion, lettuce, and some kind of special sauce. Incredibly delicious and a very rare find!“

“A story of three friends including one focused on how Food ties into social interaction and cultural understanding Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen began in 2010, their expansion from The Mission flagship all the way down to Culver City thanks to “California-inspired Jewish deli food with roots in tradition and an eye on the future; for Jews who like food and food lovers who like Jews.” Founded by Evan Bloom, Ari Bloom and Leo Beckerman, each bringing unique skills to an operation focused on making nearly everything in-house, it was minutes after 9:00am on Christmas Day that the Deli on 24th Street was found quiet, the lack of queue seeing everything served within ten minutes at prices far below the Bay Area average. Glad to give small business owners like Dennis my business.“
