“I really appreciate this KFC for being one of the few truly accessible drive-through spots in Oakland. It’s easy to get in and out, and the staff are always patient and respectful — that goes a long way.

The food’s consistently solid, too. The biscuit with gravy is my favorite — warm, simple, and satisfying. The three-piece chicken tender meal with fries and a root beer always hits right.

It’s just nice to have a place that feels dependable, both in service and food. Thanks to the team here for keeping it that way.“

“Had no idea what I was missing. Ever go to a place and after your first bite you realized, ‘hmmm, guess I never really had a good chicken sandwich before’…? My eyes are open people, this place is worthy, period. Had the Sally Hurricane’s Southern Fried Chicken…and now I’m content in life. Give this place a try, plus the prices are way reasonable. Almost forgot…guys…get the fries!!! You’re on Keto? Get over it and cheat, totally worth it.“

“Friendly staff and the hottest one almost killed me but I signed the waiver just a word of advice don't do it get the normal regular hot 🔥. I took it togo and was driving when I decided to take a bite and I almost had an accident looking for a place to get something to drink. Felt like hot coals lava the hottest thing you can think of I ran into a seven 11 and ran straight to the water section and didn't even pay for the bottle I grabbed and started drinking I was hunched over swatting and crying for a few minutes before heading to the line to pay for the water. Please please the hottest one is not edible. In my opinion but feel free to experience on your own if you must. Peace ✌️

“Tried it for the first time yesterday. We’ve walked by many times during lunch, thinking it was just another fast food chicken place…..finally gave it a try. It was excellent and staff was friendly. Chicken was fresh and crispy. They have many spice levels to choose from. Medium was plenty hot for me. The chicken tender was great, but the sliders were even better. Totally recommend this place!“

“Pollos is a great place for a good breakfast/brunch. There's never a long line because it's not a fancy brunch place. You get to sit down immediately instead of waiting an hour

The interior music is loud and the bass is cranked up, so eat at the outside tables to take your food to the park across the street. Not a fan of the 5% fee on top of taxes, just show us the real prices please!“

I haven’t had such amazing Northern Mexican food since 2020 in Arizona and I went to Playa del Carmen. Which the tacos were just as good but I was missing a good burrito and that’s just what I got.

The carnitas marinade was excellent, no extra salsa required. They also actually have horchata which is the other thing I’d been missing. This one is thick, sweet, and tastes more of vanilla than cinnamon. But it was delicious.“

“I had ordered their flamin mac bowl (mild), It was more on the dry side. I think if they layer their sauce and cheese on the fries, it would've been better. I believe they smashed hot cheetos crumbs which was just a small amount and no heat at all. The chicken was moist and mac and cheese inside was decent but bowl itself could've been better.“

The food was really good. Chicken was extra crispy and had a lot of flavor to it. The two piece is probably the best go to item. The pieces of chicken are big and juicy. They season it very well.

The chicken sandwich is a good go to for eating on the go. I thought it was a little dry, but I still enjoyed the sandwich.

Staff were cool and friendly. They brought us extra napkins and sauces. They created convo and were cracking jokes. Cool guys.“

“I don’t make it a habit to buy fried chicken from a gas station, but I might start! It’s like KFC and Popeye’s, but less stuff on the outside, more chicken on the inside. Very lightly spicy. And now they have COLES LAW! Buy gas, buy beer, buy fried chicken to go. Thanks, Mike, for bringing me. After my second visit, this quite possibly is “America’s best-kept fast-food secret.”

“Ok, I really want to give them 5 stars, but it's gas station fried chicken y'all, 😆 so it can't get 5 stars. The chicken is unexpectedly delicious! Perfectly fried, no batter, just flour and amazing seasoning. Has a slight acidic, spicy vein running through the seasoning. Really quite satisfying at 2am when the bars close, or buy a bucket for Sunday picnic. It's a franchise, so you can find it in most cities, at least in California. But again, it's in a gas station convenience store, so it's not a dine-in, seated meal. Some of the best fast food out there! I mean, who doesn't crave fried chicken every now and then?!“

“I like the chicken here ots just as good buying in person as it is being delivered. The pieces are big, food is always hot when I get it. They could do better on the sides tho. They are too small in size and the Mac n cheese needs more seasoning aka more flavor. I just get the 8 piece chicken and I got my own sides. Overall it's really good chicken and I will continue to eat at this spot. I love chicken so this 1 is right up my alley. “I been here many times and bought food here. Every time I been there I seen the restroom with an out of order sign but the only ones i seen go in there to use the restroom are the employees. I ask to use the restroom after I had purchased some food they said no that it's out of order... If there restroom is out of order and no customers can't use it then isn't it a violation ??“

“I've been to many different locations for rooster and rice across San Francisco. This had been my first time at this location and it was nice. It definitely was given a corporate lunch location as it's under office buildings. They forgot to add a few items to our order. The food always delivers though, especially if you order the traditional dish.“
