“The food was so good here that after we finished we went and got seconds the cashier was very kind and helpful and made sure that we got what we ordered and that it was good which it was and the atmosphere was great because all the other places were super packed and this one was super chill and laid-back and the chicken soup was probably the best I’ve ever had. I originally posted a review regarding what I believed to be a billing error at Chin’s Carlsbad. However, after speaking directly with a representative, Howard, I want to commend their professionalism and quick response in addressing my concerns.

Howard took the time to go over my receipt in detail, and we discovered that the Point-of-Sale system deducts a portion of sales tax from gift certificates, which initially caused some confusion. After reviewing the proper sales tax calculations, it became clear that my bill was actually correct. In retrospect, I was mistaken, not the restaurant.

I truly appreciate Howard's courteous and professional approach in resolving this issue. It’s a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Chin’s has always been a family favorite, and I’m happy to say that their integrity and service remain top-notch.“

I really want to love this place, as it's a local mom n pop shop and convenient for sandwiches, however, this is the second time in the last 3 months we have been overcharged.

Today I ordered a "lite lunch" 3" Tuna which includes a drink. I also ordered a 6" Ham and cheese combo- I ordered an extra bag of chips to complete both meals and was charged for 2 drinks + a medium combo. In short, I was charged for an extra drink at 2.90

The last time we came, we ordered 1 Meatball, 2 ham n cheeses, and made 2 a combo. All sandwiches were 6", however we were charged 2 combos and 2 drinks.

Either combo only means chips, which is 4.85 for a bag, or we are getting double charged for drinks.“

“Love this place. I grew up next to this place and they have put in the work to stay around. Great people great cooks and the atmosphere is always a good time after a long day or and early morning. There’s outdoor seating and cool art with tvs playing cool things all the time. Go in and try it out. The fish tacos are amazing and I recommend the cali!“

“Pulled into the shopping center not knowing this place was here, very glad I stopped in. Food and service is excellent. Got great recommendation on what to get that was more unique to their menu. “My coworkers and I would frequent this restaurant often. I would normally get one of the Large Pho bowls but other times I would venture out to Rice Vermicelli Noodles. These noodles were served with lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts, mints, pickled carrots and daikon, roasted peanuts and fish sauce. This instance I got it with grilled chicken and egg rolls. Great food all the time!“

Been coming here when they first opened up before the name change, staff is lovely, foods always been fresh, I come here about 5 x a month, take food to family, broccoli is never overcooked, noodles are always delicious, spicy chicken, BBQ pork, everythings good here... And you already know about the portions, meal prep worthy with about 3lb of food !!! Lol I'd give them more stars if it were possible. “Eating a lot of their food past four months through Grub Hub due to being unable to walk. It’s always excellent. Tonight’s was super excellent, chop suey with beef extra snow peas and Napa cabbage. Been cooking for over 60 years and this is one of the best and healthiest things I have ever eaten.
Also a bargain…one order is enough for three meals!!!
