I was spoiled to have regular access to spectacular pizza my while childhood and young adult life.When I moved out to LA, I was disappointed with what was called pizza out here, and started my search for some real NY/East Coast pizza, and among my few good finds and favorites over the years has been Mulberry St.Good NY pies, quality ingredients, and that neighborhood pizzeria vibe, friendly staff and all. “I originally came to this restaurant with my friend for a dinner wanting to try a different restaurant and then I brought my husband for a date night and we keep going back! We truly never knew italian food until we tried Gio's. Everything is so delicious and authentic. Tonight we had brusccheta, clams and muscles in a superb sauce, steak and seafood trio with lobster and clams and for dessert we had the tiramasu and homemade truffles with Gelato. There are no words to describe this fantastic food, cozy atmosphere and all the employees are so polite and lovely! Tonight we met Jessica who is so sweet we were so happy to find out the restaurant is family owned and operated. Chef Roberto makes the best Italian food in SoCal. “I have dined to Maria's in Studio City but never at their Encino location. The decor is nice and warm, very inviting. Service is decent. The menu is rich in options. Their garlic knots are pretty good. We also enjoyed their rigatoni bolognese and the eggplant Parmigiano, can't go wrong with either. Their prices are pretty high though so that will keep my from dining here again any time soon. So beware! Otherwise, nice Italian restaurant in Encino!“
“Being from Chicago and living in California has been really hard to find pizza we like, this restaurant has amazing pizza. It's not Chicago style.
