My favorite ice cream place. Specifically this location. Must-try flavor: vanilla honey lavender! Real, local lavender flowers throughout. Delightful. Magic!
I got a “double” scoop in a bowl (allows 1-4 flavors) to split with a friend the other day. We tried lemon poppyseed, Moroccan mint tea, and vanilla honey lavender. Would not recommend the lemon poppyseed- tasted a bit artificial. Moroccan mint tea was ok but tasted much more like mint chocolate chip than tea and the flavor paled in comparison to my favorite: vanilla honey lavender, which was outstanding per usual.
Tiny shop with charming pictures of local community up on the walls. There’s minimal seating inside and outside so you may have to walk with your ice cream.“

“Wow, the food blew me away, it was incredible! I normally only come here for boba, but I decided to order food for the first time. My partner and I both got different rice bowls. We both looked at each other in complete surprise of how absolutely, mouth watering delicious the food was. So unexpected. I would definitely recommend this place. If you’re a boba lover, their taro boba is really divine. The other flavors are good too!

Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free options for boba. They also have vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of good kid friendly options like bowls and banh mi sandwiches.“

“love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony“

Great blends from Napa Valley , as good as any expensive vineyard , the owner blends and creates them for years, STRONG WINE, UNBELIEVABLE TASTE! The food is amazing, I’m a New Yorker and loved it ! The gluten free pasta was done to perfection! Wished I lived closer…we would be there every week! The ambiance and staff were inviting , and the owner is a vibe unto himself! “I recently moved to San Anselmo, and am so happy I “found” The Hummingbird in nearby Fairfax. It’s in a good location at 57 Broadway Blvd. with plenty of free parking across the street. I really like the New Orleans vibe at The Hummingbird. The menu includes several creole items alongside standard breakfast and lunch choices. The servers are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food is fresh and delicious. I love their catfish po’ boy sandwich. The fried green tomato BLT is very good too. My third visit will happen next week — I’m thinking waffle & fried chicken this time . . . or maybe the fried shrimp po’ boy sandwich.“

“I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place because I’ve been eating here for more than 20 years and I’ve NEVER been disappointed. Excellent veggie burger (from when I was vegetarian) My usual order as an omnivore is the double cheese burger with the grilled onions and a small fries. Small fries becuase they are so good I eat them all regardless of satiety status then I feel sick. 😂

One of my fave items is the “Hippiecrit” burger that is a veggie burger with bacon. 😂😂😂

Dunno who wrote the bad review about the fried but there are most certainly NOT bland and they are super crispy and light. Ask for extra special sauce to dip them in. Their special sauce is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. So good. I’d like to say I’ve tried other things but the burgers are so good it’s all I ever get. Don’t listen to the haters - this place is BOMB.“
