We have visited several times both for dine in and take out and all orders have been met with warm customer service and applause from the entire family for their menu items.

My most recent visit raised to the top of my favorite menu items: veggie tacos- out of this world! Perhaps the best tacos of any kind I’ve ever had…
I love that they don’t use lard to cook their beans, it really shows their commitment to quality.

The lentejas (lentil soup) was perfectly flavored, hearty and just all around delicious.

I know it was a lengthy construction and opening for them, I hope the community really shows them the love, they won’t be disappointed!“

“I ordered catering for a work event for 80 people, and it was a 5-star experience the whole way through. Eric advised us on the menu, supported me through the ordering process and troubleshooting quantities needed, checked out our location ahead of time, arrived early/on time for set up, and provided all of the signage we needed to ensure people knew ingredients and allergy information. The food was great - so healthy and filling. We heard numerous compliments about the food, including from many people who said they would like to use Humbowl for a future event in their work unit. We also appreciated their provision of serving utensils and the eco-friendly materials (bowls and serving containers). The fact that they have a neurodiverse hiring program that supports inclusion in our community was icing on the cake. We are already planning to use them for our next event. Highly recommend!“

The space itself is absolutely beautiful, well-decorated, cozy, welcoming, and extremely clean, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I ordered an açaí bowl just like the one in the photo, and it was absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, it was the best açaí I have ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, very fresh, and incredibly well prepared. It was simply amazing and did not disappoint at all.

The staff deserves special recognition: the attendants are super polite, friendly, and attentive, always making sure customers feel comfortable and well taken care of. Very simple basic menu, but everything was perfect. Flavorful, fresh, generously sized, good service. Everything was right. We are talking San Francisco - San Jose level of excellence for Vietnamese food. I used to think you had to go to the City to find great Vietnamese food, But now we have it local here in San Rafael. The other Vietnamese restaurants around town can't even compare. This restaurant is now on my short list. Coming back. Five star.“

“My family and I recently moved into the neighborhood and stumbled across Redwood Cafe, and it has quickly become one of our favorite local spots. Although they’re only open from 6am–3pm, this is absolutely a place you can’t skip out on.

They offer a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, plus a Greek menu that gives you even more to try. One of our favorite things is that they rotate different soups almost daily—there’s always something new and comforting. The owner, Leo, and his entire staff are truly wonderful and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in.

The cafe itself is small, cozy, and full of locals who clearly love being there—you can feel the happy, community vibe while dining. Redwood Cafe consistently goes above and beyond with customer service. I often bring my mother with me, and they genuinely treat people like family.

We love this place so much that we try to stop by at least once a week. Thank you for the delicious paninis, amazing soups, and the great selection of desserts. We will absolutely continue supporting local businesses like Redwood Cafe!“

“Of three cortados in town that we tried, this one was the best! GF breakfast sandwich with polenta/cheese-type bun was fun to try but felt unhealthy. Waited a VERY long time for my bagel lox sandwich (w tomato, onion, sprouts) to come out from the deli. Official story (after two check-ins) was the oven was broken so it was taking longer to use a toaster oven. Many folks/couples/dogs after me were in and out w their orders before my sandwich arrived. Others in my party ordered and finished a second round of drinks before my sandwich arrived.“

“What a gem of a restaurant! We unintentionally stumbled upon Bolinas earlier this month while on vacation. When the Muir Woods closed due to the government shutdown, we pivoted, and we are so happy we did. Our party of 8, which they so accommodatingly allowed us to spilt into separate tables for 4 adults and 4 tweens, had the best time on their patio. The service was stellar and warm, the atmosphere was friendly and there wasn't a stranger to be found, and the food was even better than both those combined.
