“It was our anniversary and we were presented with a glass of Champagne- a lovely touch. The food and service was extraordinary. The ambience was elegant and quiet. Guests were talking and laughing but we could hear our own conversation very easily. My husband had the NY strip steak prepared with a beautiful sauce and I had a pasta shrimp dish- both were outstanding. The Creme Boule was delicious, It was a memorable evening!“

Both dishes came with sides and desserts included and it looked amazing and was absolutely delicious. The price per plate, only $55., that’s a bargain these days. The atmosphere of old times mountain house was cozy and comfortable. We were seated in front of the fire place. We’ll definitely be eating there again soon.“

“The food was absolutely amazing and just what we needed after an impromptu experience with a black bear while hiking back from Grisly Point. We highly recommend getting the shrimp ceviche and corn riblets. Combine them for a surprisingly great combination.“

“I highly recommend Idle Hour winery and kitchen in Oakhurst. I found out about the winery when looking for a place to eat in the area on the Internet and I’m so glad I did. It was one of my more memorable meals. I had one of their wines, which was outstanding with a salmon dinner accompanied by a very large salad. I usually don’t have dessert, but, being gluten-free, I decided to try their flourless chocolate cake. I’ve never had one I’ve particularly liked, but I doubt that I will be able to resist that dessert the next time I go for dinner, although I will have to try their Sunday brunch next.“

“Went here for dinner while staying in Oakhurst and visiting Yosemite. It was such a nice surprise to have delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine after spending all day out. We wanted comfort food and this was way better than other Chinese places I’ve had in major cities like Los Angeles. Would highly recommend coming here if you want a good meal!“
