“Visiting Mariposa/Yosemite with some girl friends and went to 1850 Restaurant & Brewery for our first night out! We were seated fairly promptly for a 5 top table with no reservation and the service was great! We got all of our food quick and in the perfect time sequence - drinks first, appetizer second (with time to finish and digest), and entrees shortly after we finished our appetizer. The decor was adorable, between the wine corks and sliding doors between 2 tables. The Ahi nachos were unreal! I highly recommend those - the ahi tuna felt and tasted fresh, and the ginger soy + wasabi ranch drizzle added so much sweet, spicy, and creamy flavor. The wonton nachos were also deliciously fried. The chicken salad was the perfect, light meal. The baked salmon was another good option, although i didn't love the sweetness of the fig dollop on top - the fig taste took over. The drinks we ordered were creative, fun, and tasted delicious. A little sweet, but can't complain too much about that. Great first night out in Mariposa!“
“Absolutely fabulous!! Stopped in for breakfast, this place needs a James Beard award for its corned beef hash. Will be back again and will recommend this to anyone we see in the parks. Oh pancakes were super fluffy with a hint of almond, have those too.“
“I stopped by at this place from Yosemite after a hard hike with my bf. I am so happy we did. This place is so quaint but their ramen is hand made and delicious. I had the shoyu ramen. The chashu was so tender, and the broth was so delicious. I will def be back if I'm in the area. Please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.Oh my goodness I had to edit the review. We got mochi: black sesame and carrot cake. When I tell you the black sesame was yummy but the carrot cake was delicious!!!! There's a cream cheese velvety end on the carrot cake mochi that is so much like the cake. How in the hell did they do this. I'm so amazed!!!!! If u love carrot cake, try it! Wowza“
“This restaurant is amazing! The menu changes slightly every day so you have a variety of options to choose from. The dinner menu rotates from different varieties of steak, pork, chicken, fish, and sandwich. They also have vegetarian options and vegan options. The breakfast and lunch menu remains the same though. For dinner, I liked their fish dishes the most. I had salmon and rockfish, both times the fish was cooked perfectly. For breakfast I recommend the huevos rancheros or American breakfast. The hash browns are some of the best hash browns I've had! They're crispy and cooked to perfection.“
“An unlikely combo, this wine bar connected to a ramen restaurant is a fantastic place. The owner is knowledgeable about wine, supports local wineries, and provided excellence service and conversation while we tasted and explored wines of many different varietals. I highly recommend.“
