Applebee's Grill + Bar provides a welcoming dining experience with friendly and helpful service. The food menu includes popular options such as fish and chips, Alfredo chicken pasta, kids cheese burger, Tex-Mex shrimp bowl, wings, mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, and artichoke dip. Customers often enjoy the salads, which are described as outstanding, and appreciate the kid-friendly atmosphere, with children surprised by treats like three cherries in their sherry temple. The location on Shaw has received some negative comments, but overall, many find this Applebee's location to be a great choice for a casual meal. The Dollaritas remain a popular drink, though they can be sweet and may cause heartburn. Staff members are praised for their helpfulness, making sure customers' needs are met without hovering. Customers also appreciate the restaurant's role in special occasions, such as Veterans Day celebrations. While the restaurant could be cleaner, it is known for reliable customer service and good food, making it a suitable option for those seeking an American eatery.
