“Dog house will forever be on the top places to eat in Fresno/the Central Valley! This time I got their dog house salad with tri-tip and oh my gosh, it was soooo good. I don't remember them adding the little nuts/seeds but I loved them. I got the small size and it was the perfect size. This place will always be busy. We tend to get seating instead of ordering in the front that way you have a seat when your food comes out. We ordered our drinks and they were brought to us fast, but after that we waited quite some to get our food order. Other people who had sat after us were ordering/getting their food. Finally a kind staff asked if he had been helped and he sent a different server to take our order. Other than this experience, it's always been great. Tri-tip sandwich, ABC burger, soft tacos, salads, fries, and so on are delicious everyday single time. Perfect place to watch some sports too.“

“This place is CLEAN! Fresh ingredients and beautiful atmosphere thanks to the wonderful staff. Felt welcome the second I stepped in. Homemade tortillas are on point and presentation of those delicious grilled shrimp tacos, legit. Matgarita was simple, strong, and made with love. Small fenced patio for well-behaved 2-4 legged creatures AND a full bar. Can't go wrong with this place! If I'm back in town, this will be my first stop.“

“Easy after-work option for me, on a Monday when many restaurants are closed. I sat at the bar, with a view to the kitchen. Staff were attentive and pleasant. There is cultural music in the background but it isn't at alarming levels and conversations are occurring all around me. They have booths and tables. A little kid just skated through the restaurant on their wheelies, so you could say it's both relaxed and family friendly. I had the short rib burrito which was amazing and huge. I ate only half and am taking the remainder to go. Complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and spicy and I declined a refill on them. The short rib burrito comes dry, so the other photos must show the wet burrito option, which I didn't get. The view of the bartending was great with both mixed drinks and giant margaritas going out. Seeing the bar sink and kitchen I felt good about dining here. One minor trash can near the register was pretty full but they are also quite busy for the dinner rush. I shall be back! A great value and nice people.“

“Nice dive bar. Going through some management changes. Lots of seats for the size of bar. Prices are fair. Could use a decent pool cue or six, all of the ques were in horrible condition. The table was dirty too. But....pool was free too, so what can you expect. Nice bartenders. Check out Adrianna on Mondays and Thursdays I thinks.“

“It's my favorite spot to go in Tower. The food and drinks start at $5, so you can dine on a budget if you want. The cocktail list is really where it's at, but they have plenty of good beers on tap normally also. I would skip Sequoia every time you come down to Tower and do this instead. If there were more places like the Lincoln, the world would be a better place. Great concept, they nailed it! Cheers“

Yukon's Tavern & Grill Bar & Grill • $
2731 W Clinton Ave, Fresno

“This place is amazing, especially on Valentine’s Day. Two years ago my husband messed up our dinner reservations (since Valentine’s Day is also my birthday). He called here and they said to come on by and they made dinner so romantic with candles, a nice dinner and a rose. So for my birthday this year, I asked to go back. Last year I was pregnant. Boy did they pull through again. For a bar, they pulled out all the stops. It was like going to Fleming or Ruth Chris, but no wait or better deal. Dinner came with a salad, shrimp, two sides and perfectly done prime rib. Then came with cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. It was like eating heaven. Everything tasted so good. Plus the bartender is like the sweetest gal. She knows her drinks. My husband and I got Skewball and coke and man did she make the best ones I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place for anyone and will definitely come back next year for my birthday. My husband and I have also been here just as a bar to go to and their regular bar food is just as good. The atmosphere is perfect. It’s a such a fun, small bar.“

“I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have bacon Mac and cheese balls, but I won't deduct points for that because it's possible they ran out due to popularity or some other issue. The staff was friendly, and we were promptly seated and served. We ordered a Smash Burger and their Best Damn Cheeseburger. The meat tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and had crispy ends that give the smash burger its unique appeal. The melted cheese added a delicious touch. The fries were hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. Their burgers come with a side of ketchup and Slater sauce which is a blend of ketchup and bacon. Interesting taste. Towards the end, we shared a root beer float, which was decent but nothing extraordinary. What sets Slaters 50/50 apart from places like Red Robin and other burger restaurants is the noticeably fresher taste of the meat at an affordable price. Moreover, they offer a variety of burgers without compromising on quality. If you're not into burgers, they have pasta options and a selection of chicken dishes on their menu. Considering the other restaurants nearby, you can expect great food at an affordable price. Would we return to this location? Most likely, yes.“

Tower Sports Club Sports Bar • $$
1294 N Wishon Ave, Fresno

“I dropped in to have a drink at "The Tower Sports Bar" one evening. I found the decor inviting and the video screens caught my attention immediately. A variety of sports programming helps the beer go down. The service was prompt and the bartender was tuned in to every need and want.About 9 pm was full but not crowded. Drink prices very fair. I was waiting for my app based transportation to arrive so I kept it at 1 drink . I paid my bill as I finished my refreshment and exited to meet my ride. That's when the need for a mask became immediate. Only thing I could do was to return to the bar and hope a mask was available. It took some searching but the barkeep was successful and took the time and made me her priority. I was impressed by that personal service and was able to make my destination on time. Not everyday you find that these days unless you are at T.S.Bar.“
