“Great Food, Excellent Service, and amazing Tacos!!!“

“Lucy's Gorditas is a cute and unassuming hole-in-the-wall place, but don't let that dissuade you from trying out their delicious food. It was my first visit today, and it will definitely not be my last. I ordered the 2 Gorditas Combo and selected the Tinga de Pollo and Rajas gorditas with a side of refried beans. I ordered online and the food was ready and waiting when I arrived. Quick friendly service out the door. I really like the Rajas gordita and the beans were SO flavorful! The Tinga de Pollo was pretty good as well, but the Rajas was definitely star of the show today. The meal included a small side of shredded green cabbage and some pickled red onions with both a red and green sauce. Both were very flavorful and had just enough kick to them. Not only was the price incredibly reasonable for today's economy (just over $10 with tax & tip), the food was delicious and filling. I am so happy with them that I will likely make this a weekly lunch spot since I work just down the street. Thank you Lucy!!“

“Fantastic food and creative drinks in a modern and chic atmosphere. Everything I ordered from the bao appetizer through the main course of big eye tuna through to the date cake for dessert was superb. I unfortunately had sub par service but the food was so good it made up for it. I would absolutely recommend stopping by. A bit pricy but worth it.“

“08.04.24 My girl and wanted to try someplace new, so next to our favorite fish and chips place was this eatery. The place wasn't to busy so we decided to give it a try. The staff was very nice and explained the menu and the different options that came withe meal. We both tried the tacos, chicken and Carne asada. The tortillas are house made and fantastic! The portions are large and delicious. It is served with onion and cilantro and the 4 different sauces are so good, I preferred the green and the guajjilo sauce. This place is very clean and the restaurant itself is open and airy. Please go there as this a local family owned business and let's keep our money and our local businesses in Fresno.“

“IYKYK! Al's Cafe is hands down one of the best breakfast spots in town.
I've been eating here for years, and they never disappoint.
The staff is extremely friendly, always on their toes, they make you feel like family there.
The food is excellent, and the portion size satisfies even my BIG appetite. Not too pricey either.
It's definitely off the beaten path and a bit out of the way, but totally worth the extra drive and effort for the food and experience. My family and I love Al's, and we'll continue eating here now and into the future.“

“THIS IS THE SPOT!!! If you are reading this and debating wether you want to try it or you want to eat this today, DO IT!!! There is no greater place on earth to get carnitas or tacos dorados. On top of that they serve you good sized portions. I don’t even look at prices here or ask because I know it is always worth every penny. Papuchon the owner makes you feel at home and always personally greets you and thanks you for coming in. They are the friendliest and quickest staff I’ve ever seen in any Mexican restaurant all while making your food fresh. You can watch them make it or just sit down without a worry that it will be hot and delicious! I have never had a bad moment with La Perrucha!“

“Went there on a whim on a family members recommendation. The food is great, service was great, and the atmosphere was nice. Had the don jesus burrito, and was a great meal. It is so big that you have to cut it to eat it, and you even need a spoon to eat the stuff that falls out of it. Had a churro donut as a snack, and it's delicious. Will definitely come back for another don jesus burrito.“

Large variety of food and drinks as well as several types of cold beers. Inside or outside tables for whatever mood your in. Plenty of parking including truck/trailer parking out back. “For my first time at a Culichi Town restaurant it was amazing. I went with family, and we all loved our dishes. The service was great, and the cocktails were even better I recommended the Kalaka cocktail de tamarindo it was fireee! We missed the banda playing but watched them rehearse, & I’m glad lol because it is pretty loud in there once they start. Finally, the place was so aesthetic and beautiful I totally recommend for a night out with friend or family.“

Decades old hole-in-wall restaurant with delicious food. Don’t expect seating here, it’s basically to-go food.

As others have said, it’s a sketchy part of town, but I’ve never heard of a problem there. If nothing else, it’s a bit of a DMZ, and you’ll see people from all walks of life and affiliations there. Everyone goes for the food, and everyone knows not to mess up a good place. (It reminds me of Boca del Rio in La Puenta where everyone from doctors and soccer moms, to cops and wanted rival gangsters go, but at the restaurant, nobody screws around because the food is the common bond. LOL) I’ve never felt unsafe here.

We used to live much closer and go more often. Now it’s an hour round trip, so we go once or twice a year. It’s still worth it for us.

My wife’s favorites are the taco salad with shredded chicken, nachos with shredded beef, and beef combination burrito. She found the burrito a little spicer than usual tonight. Still good tho. I didn’t think the asada beef taco or asada fries were as spicy as her burrito. All fun food.

“Everytime I went to work I'd pass this restaurant to work and back and this time I asked my daughter Crystal let's stop to see what they serve... Quiet people doing their orders you picked to eat. Beautiful Place & they have Karaoke night on Friday from 7pm to 11pm...Very Clean Place. They even have a window on the side to get your order instead of coming in. How cool is that...“

“Such a sweet little place, absolutely well worth a visit. They mostly offer tamales and tacos which do not disappoint, paired with chips and salsa it was an excellent choice for an early dinner. The lemonades, should you choose to order one, are far from normal, each is unique and definitely worth the taste. Additionally, the service was exceptional, the owner even came over herself to serve and engage with us. I definitely will be coming back!“

“Al Tamez (RIP) started AL Rico's taco, local owner with a big heart. This is his legacy, he was way ahead of his time in that he was thinking of people's pocket book rather than thinking of himself. Mr. Tamez was a Veteran and a man who loved God.
He was a fellow Veteran and a friend, I go there offend and depending on what side of town I'm at I always stop in for great tacos and for the savings. The atmosphere is a community feel; very blended of young and old; and as well very diverse.“

This definitely will be considered like a hole in the wall, the plaza that it's in is pretty empty exception for a few small businesses and the restaurant itself is set up more like a food court. But do not sleep on their food it is bomb and fresh. Their staff is very friendly and fast. Did I also mention that it's very cost friendly.“

“Just a heads up this taqueria is located inside the gas station store and has no indoor seating. It ended up being such an incredible find during our stop- I would give them 100 stars if I could. The servers were cheerful, polite & very helpful. They have specials on certain days of the week like taco Tuesday, burrito Wednesday and quesabirria Thursday ?

We got the adobada burrito & quesatacos with adobada. Absolutely loved it. At first this was going to be a short stop just to get gas on our way but we liked it so much we ended up stopping here a second time on the journey back. Thank you for the yummy food!“

The owner takes a lot of pride in his food and you can tell. I’ve eaten about almost ever dish they offer and nothing disappoints. The Horchata and Jamaica are made fresh and from scratch, they are absolutely delicious. “Taco trucks are on every block now but this is my go to for sopes. Absolutely my favorite, generous size for $4. I call ahead and the food is always ready for pickup. They have a red sauce that's is so good. I've had all their items which are good but there is something special about their sopes if you like them.“
