“I haven't been in the Red lantern since 1967 when Virgil owned it with his boyfriend Rick, I remember when they tore down the wall that was connected to the liquor store and put in dance floor, I help them set up the first sound system I was the very first DJ there. I really miss that place I had a lot of good times there if you know what I mean!!! Inside outside haha on the patio. I was looking to see if the express still existed but I didn't see it but I heard there's a new bar called the splash, I don't know if that's where Express used to be or not but it looks like Fresno's really growing up for our gay community I was the first cook in the restaurant at Express, yeah Fresno has some good times for me I hope to come back and visit again soon anyway president love you miss you dance on party like it's 1999 LOL oh yes the last song I used to play at the lantern when I was DJing was we are family and that will never change God bless Fresno!!!“

Ewell’s Place is a solid hole-in-the-wall bar in Fresno, perfect if you’re just looking for a quick drink in a relaxed setting. The vibe is easygoing, the music was on point, and the atmosphere makes it a great spot to unwind without any fuss.

What really stood out during our visit was the service. The waitress who helped us that night was excellent—super friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks cold and coming without ever needing to be asked twice. Even though I didn’t catch her name, she definitely made the experience better.

If you’re in the area and want a laid-back place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy some good music, I’d definitely recommend Ewell’s.“

“Happy to find the Old Basque Restaurant I frequented in the 1950's &1960's before moving to Bakersfield, etc. It was a delightful & delicious dinner my family and l enjoyed. We shall look forward to our next adventure at the Santa Fe Basque Restaurant.“

“I Love Tahoe Joes!!!! Please add new food though! Your like a cabin or ski lodge! Add new appetizers! Like pizza Mac n cheese! Deep fried Mac and cheese balls. Plus your happy hour is way to late at 2pm it used to be at 11am! Now your bar is empty and we have been going elsewhere which is sad but you need to fix your happy hour. You could have lettuce wraps and steak quesadillas. If I was the manger there I would move your happy hour back to 11 12 at the latest and keep your price. You need people in there to buy stuff. Your paying your employees with nobody in the bar. Please please put your happy hour back to the same time!“

“I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Alex at Dab Tacos. A couple days ago he was working by himself, and despite handling everything alone, he still made my food absolutely amazing. You could tell he really cared about the quality and the customer experience.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I’ve had from a taqueria in a long time. On top of that, Alex stayed professional, friendly, and hardworking the entire time even while being super busy.

I really appreciate the service and dedication from both Alex and the whole establishment. It’s rare to see that level of professionalism and care nowadays. Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend Dab Tacos!“

I think others will remember but I saw the best fighting performance by this white boy who came into the patio, and he was disrespected by his lady, he took on about 10 guys and cleared out the whole patio. Wish I knew who he was but I have never seen a guy take on so many and clear out a place. He is a legend, and in his defense he did nothing wrong, I hope he is always welcome to The Point!“
