“This place is a hidden gem. Got 5 chicken tacos for 16$ after tax. Lets get into the review. The tortillas. Delicious and cooked perfectly. The corn tortilla has a nice taste. The chicken is seasoned unique and juicy. The cilantro, onions and cabbage on top are fresh. The roasted chile pepper is a medium heat. The red chile taste great a lil tangy and medium to high spice about a lvl 6 as a mexican. The tomatillo green chile is good. Tangy too. Haven't had tacos like this in a minute. Real Mexican food. Straight grandmas cooking. This the real deal folks. The area looks a little sketchy. Come during daylight lol. Also this isnt some fancy place. Had a home vibe. This is an old school mexican spot. 10/10 would come again.“

“My husband and I always make sure to stop here when we're in the area. One of us likes the steak Baja bowl and I get the chicken Baja bowl. We always get the lettuce on the side. It is so stinking good! I'm full before it's finished and I have to force myself to stop eating because it's so good! My husband always finishes his but he's absolutely stuffed afterwards. The veggies are cooked on the grill first and the pico is fresh and bright. It's not cheap but oh so worth every penny.“

“Wow. When I think of authentic Mexican food I think of these tacos. Few things first. I liked the convenience of the drive through. You order at the window. I ordered 4 Amano tacos which have home made tortillas. Total cost after tax 17.50 wow. This reminds me of grandma's cooking like there must be an old Mexican lady back there making it. Everything was spot on. I liked the chicken. Crispy and juicy. The tortilla superb. Cilantro onions grilled onions and grilled Serrano pepper. Got 2 salsas. The green on is a cilantro lime and the red is a spicy chile. I personally enjoyed the red chile the most. Everything was on point. Will return and even bring my family to eat. Hella good. Thanks! Worth every cent.“

“I would give it a 5 because the food is super delicious, freshly made and is authentic Oaxacan food. I had mole and it almost tasted like my mom's but not quite lol, I also had a memelita de tazajo oh my goodness it was the best to say the least. The reason I gave it a 4 because the waitress forgot to bring my toddler her food and never went to check if we needed anything else but it was ok I shared my delicious rice n beans with her. “Marisco’s Las Islitas is one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants in Madera. The staff is very friendly, that’s for sure. The establishment is so clean and very inviting. I’ve brought my family and friends and my staff in to dine. The food never fails. It’s always fresh. I usually get the Molcajetes, Piña Mixto, Ceviche de Camarón , Oysters and Fried Ice Cream. Oh, How I can’t forget the Alfredo pasta with Shrimp and Mussels. The fried fish is to die for. Can you tell me a salsa that you’ve had that you wish you could replicate???? Let me tell you ,Islitas has this green salsa that is so good with this amazing heat behind it. The sauces they serve are all stellar. You also get complimentary Chips and Salsa. The drinks they serve are outta this world. They have beer and wine based drinks. My favorite drink is cantaritos ( However you spell it) Bomb!!! It’s like a Paloma but better. The owner is a good person. She thrives to keep her business enjoyable for all who comes in. No one in Madera can beat this place. Hats off to the owner.
