Food is good sometimes but not cooked all the time

Apparently if a person orders a meal that comes with a large drink, when cannot request to have water instead of a soda or any other type of drink. This is upsetting because I don't want soda or tea or anything else I just want water because it's very hot and I don't want to get dehydrated, nor do I want to consume soda every time I buy something from them.
