“The Elbow Room is one of our favorite spots in Fresno. Service, attention to detail and the quality of food are all nothing short of spectacular. Ambiance is always very nice and the menu & drink selection are all fantastic. If you’re looking for a nice meal and/or Sunday brunch, this place never disappoints.“

“I would have to say the food, ambiance and service were excellent. I ordered the salmon and halibut and was satisfied with both especially the creamy corn sauces and bits of lobster. We ordered the bao as appetizer and that too was good and satisfying. I enjoyed the old fashion and coffee martini. Our servers ( James, didnt catch them all ) were all friendly and made the experience all the more beautiful. For an outdoor patio seating, I have to say it was such a perfect night. No mosquitos or bright lights and the surrounding space was beautiful. I like the design of the space. Thank you we would go back with others.“

“Great First Experience at Mad Duck

Stopped in for the first time on a Thursday evening and had a great experience. The menu was smaller than expected, but the quality made up for it. We started with the calamari appetizer—crispy, well-seasoned, and paired with flavorful dipping sauces. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.

I ordered the steak salad and was genuinely impressed. The dressing had a nice tang, the greens were fresh, and the bold flavor of the blue cheese complemented the tender steak beautifully. The other entrée at our table was the Goat Cheese & Bacon Burger, which got high praise for its rich and savory flavor profile.

The Citra beer was easy-drinking and smooth, with a clean flavor that paired well with the food. Refreshing without being too heavy.

Service was excellent—our server, Jesse, was intuitive to our needs and stayed attentive throughout the evening without hovering.

All in all, solid food, great drinks, and welcoming service. I’d definitely go back.“

“First time in, was greeted with a welcome as soon as I walked in. The place wasn't too busy at the time. Looked like a good variety in menu since I'm not into spicy but I tried the place anyway. Staff was friendly and the place seemed very clean. I had the tortilla soup and it was tasty but a little too salty, which is usually perfect for most people. Great choice for lunch that day, I'll be back.“

“We came to Lazy Dog tonight to celebrate my son’s 21st Birthday we had such a great experience! The staff was great, the manager came out and greeted us and made us feel welcomed, and the food was awesome! We will definitely be coming back!“

“I am kicking myself for taking two years to come back to this restaurant. We started with the shrimp appetizer that was excellent then moved to the spaghetti and meatballs and halibut and risotto. I have never ordered spaghetti at a restaurant because I am Italian and prefer my own gravy, but this was very good and the Italian sausage meatballs were incredible. The halibut though was the star of the evening. The fish was cooked perfectly as was the risotto and the tiny bit of wasabi cream that they add to the dish was the perfect compliment. Not going to wait another two years to come back and in fact I am planning on coming back for my birthday in July.“

“Passing through Fresno, we wanted something casual for dinner. We hit the jackpot here. It’s not fancy but you can get a drink and play a game of pool in the bar, and have your meal there or in the restaurant portion out front. We both had fish tacos, which were delicious. Fish was perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed our time here tonight.“

“We went for the Measure-P supported Jazz on a Saturday afternoon. There were perhaps 25 people tops and that includes staff and the band. I stood at the bar to order drinks only to be ignored, passed by without eye contact or acknowledgement a total of five passes before giving up. They were not slammed. I've tended bar before. They were simply rude. I didn't feel like groveling just to order a drink. Stayed for the rest of the set, said hi to my friends in the band and left. I got bad Vibez at this dive.
