I searched for cake shops nearby and came across Maksen. After seeing their stunning designs, I knew I had to give them a try. I’m so glad I did because the chef/owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to bring my vision to life. Not only did the design turn out amazing, but she also worked with me on pricing, had a quick turnaround, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious. We all loved it!“

Normally it's to the brim, not sure why it was so low. Perhaps the ice cream was melted more than normal. “They did an amazing job with my grandmother's 75th birthday cake. It was a lemon cake with lemon buttercream and lemon curd. It tasted so fantastic. Everyone was giving compliments on the cake design and flavor. My grandmother was in love!! People even complimented the fondant which was surprising haha.“

“We love Half Baked! We discovered it, ironically enough, just months before I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2016. Luckily, they have gluten free options a plenty. Of all the gluten free bakeries nearby, they were THE most affordable for wedding cakes. We collaborated with Natalie who was with us from day one. She is wonderful - so understanding and supportive. Half Baked's execution of our vision onto 3 elegant cakes was lovely and classy. The GF spice with cream cheese was the best - our very favorite! There were some unfortunate issues with the other two cakes, but Natalie assisted us thoughtfully and ultimately provided us with an ample solution. We have loved Half Baked since we discovered them. We highly recommend them for events or anytime, especially if you need delicious gluten free options that won't break the bank!“

They enjoy significant popularity among celebrities and regular customers alike in Hollywood, California. They’re perfect for special events such as graduations, family milestones, and weddings. We had so much confidence in their abilities that we picked up the cake for our son’s 30th birthday party in Santa Monica and drove it 100 miles to San Diego. We decided on Red Velvet cake for our son’s cake flavor. The cake is decorated with our son’s name, “Timothy,” in its Greek form, “Timotheus”. The party, costumes and cake were all a major success.

Parking: You must pay for parking on Santa Monica Blvd and the side streets. It’s recommended that you come early to pick up your cake in order to secure parking that is convenient for carrying the cake to your car.“

I parked in the lot on the side, most of the spots are 15 min only so I would try to find a parking spot in the lot other than the street. We got a triple with pistchio cucumber and Turkish coffee.
